Sweet & sour. Chandler sold me and installed a new garage door and Genie Stealth opener in April of 2004. Very nice job, and everything worked fine until 2/22/11 when E.J. responded to our call for service. The opener was being erratic and wouldn't open at times. E.J. lubed all points and made any adjustments and door was working OK when he left. He suggested our Genie opener was not the best and suggested replacing it with a Lift Master. Our charge for that call was $80. On 3/16/11, within the 30 day warranty period for service, Manny responded to our call that opener was again acting erratic. After checking a couple of printed circuits within the unit, he informed us that it was the motor, and would cost $130, and possible rail bearing at $55, but no additional labor charge. The motor would have to be ordered and we would be called when it came in. He did indicate that the motor was a little loose and he tightened that. It was working OK when he left. We were called a week or so later that they had received the part, except that it was the complete "head" which cost around $280. Their story at that time was that the warehouse had shipped the wrong part. We're in our 80's and on a very limited income, so I told them to reorder the motor only, since the opener had been working OK anyway. A week or so later, Manny came by ready to install the motor, which would now cost an additional $45. I suggested since it was working alright now, we could hold off. He said that was fine, and if needed, they could come out later and that the motor would probably still be available. Sometime after he left I was looking over the original paperwork and manual and noted that the motor for the Stealth has a lifetime warranty. I call the Genie people in Ohio, and they confirmed it was covered and was surprised that Chandler did not point this out. They suggested I call Chandler and have them order the replacement. They also indicated they would not replace just the motor, but send the whole "head". When I called Chandler and told them that if they would contact Genie it would be handled between the two of them. She told me they no longer had the motor on hand. Kelly said she would have to check with her boss, and call me back. She called back the next day and said her boss said I should get the unit myself, and they would install it for $45. At this point I've ordered the unit from Genie, paying $235 up front, $200 for the unit (to be refunded upon return of defective unit), plus California Sales Tax, and $15 shipping charges. Hopefully, I'll be able to install by myself. My feeling about this company now, is that they were trying to scam this old man. I'll update this review when job is completed. It's now Monday of the following week and I've received the replacement "head". I've removed the original and replaced it with the new one. (Piece of cake!). It's working fine, no hesitation or failure to open or close - just like new. Will return the defective unit in the prepaid UPS box, and hopefully my account will be credited. Working with Genie (Overhead Door) was refreshing, sorry I can't say the same about Chandler. read more

I am an idiot, complete one. I got what I deserved for opting to go with Chandler. 3 weeks ago the door stopped working and I had accidentally called RS doors (without realizing the door was installed by Chandler) and they came out and asked me why the older type springs were installed for a new door when the springs were long been discontinued. I told him that I got it installed by Chandler (I saw the sticker when he was in the garage) didn't know the technical details behind it. He went on to point out that Chandler had used staple to pin down the weather stripping (which had come off completely) and pointed to all the cheap finishes and jobs. He gave me a price for fixing the door and left. Chandler, when I called, told me that they would charge $80 to come out and give an estimate! I spoke to Rachel and explained the older spring, she said she would have to write to the manager and get a response. 3 weeks later (and after leaving 3 phone calls to Rachel) I called her back this morning to learn that they themselves didn't know the type of spring that was sent by the manufacturer (Wayne Dalton) at the time of installation. I explained that if 4 G LTE is available in the market, I would never recommend my customers to buy a basic phone or 3 G phone or a phone that is being upgraded due to its faulty performance. She never offered an explanation as to why Chandler used cheaper materials, never apologized for using the older type spring, never offered to provide any discount and went on to say, "if you like the price quoted by RS doors, you should go with them". BTW, the final quote she gave me was $40 more than RS doors. What did I learn in the process? Just that I am a complete idiot. So much for expecting good old business ethics. read more

Saw them on TV & I gave them a call after getting 4 other estimates. Wow! I was impressed with the cost & service not to repair but for installing new Wi-Fi LiftMastet motor I can control my door with my phone, get alerts whenever it opens or closes. If I wasn't sure if I closed my door I can check my phone & close it with my phone anywhere that I'm at. All new hardware ( track, arm, rollers, sensors, button an outside key pad that I didn't have before 2 remotes AND.. it only took less than 1 1/2 hour & they came back that day after the estimate when I decided to use them. No rescheduling for another day to do the work. Same Day Service. I hate waiting around. They said they would be there between 9-11 to do estimate & they were there @ 9am. They said they would be there between 1-3 to install & they were there at 1pm. They didn't try to oversell the job by getting me to buy a entirely new garage door. Really happy with my service from right way garage doors. They showed up on time, were very professional, and reasonably priced. They work on a flat fee for each service and it didn't seem like they were rushing the job at all. They took their time, were very thorough, spent the time to teach me a lot about garage doors, and I think they offer quality products and services. I'm still really happy with my decision to get the MaxLife springs. I was a bit caught off guard to learn these even existed, but I did some investigation and learned it really is a thing. I really wanted to be sure that my wife (or any of us) are never stuck at home. Install garage door opener. Trenton showed up as promised on time. He presented the options that would easily accomplish my goal for having an automatic garage door opener. I just purchased the house and it had never had an automatic garage door opener. There was a shelf that needed to be removed before the work could be done but Trenton said that he could easily remove that for me at no extra charge. The 2 previous quotes that I had - said I must get that shelf removed before they could begin the work. He gave me the quote on the spot and offered to do the work right away. Such a pleasant hard working individual. He quickly removed the shelf and took the pieces away and efficiently installed my new side mount opener. Excellent service. I highly recommend this company. Joey performed a thorough inspection of the garage door system and diagnosed that it needed a new spring and some other bearing replacement cables . He explained why the repair was needed and had it done within under 2 hours . Joey was very polite and professional. I'm a retired engineer (always curious ) and Joey explained the physics on how the spring on the garage door opener worked . The garage door opener now operates "as smooth as butter. Our spring broke on one of our garage doors. I called several different garage door repair shops and got quotes from $165 to $275. In speaking to most of these shops I just got the feeling that they were out to screw me. When I called Chandler they answered my questions directly and gave me a quote of $150. Making the appointment was easy and they didn't ask for a 4 hour window that I had to sit around the house waiting for them. They gave me a 2 hour window and called a half hour before they showed to tell me they were on the way. 2/10/23 When we came home from vacation we were greeted with a broken garage door spring. I called Right Way Garage Doors and told them of my issue and my concern. My concern was that I have two classic cars trapped in the garage and didn't want them damaged. They sent out Joey Perkins and I advised him of my concern also. He advised me it would be no problem, and proceeded to replace both springs, advising me that if one broke the other wasn't far behind. He not only get the garage door working, but also tested 9 other items of my garage door, such as door balancing and hinge condition and so on just to make sure the door is stay in good conditions.
