Found a gem in Napa downtown! Don't know there is a record store in Napa before this Madonna Confessions II pre-release party. Owner Jim is very friendly , I have called and inquired about the event. He replied and left me a very detailed voice message in regard to the details of the event. I was impressed. During the listening party, we had a little chat. He has been in record store business in Napa for 5 plus years, he was in wine making industry previously. This record store is his passion. This current location is inside a newish building, very clean and trendy, with modern bathrooms inside the building. Parking is rather easy, there is public parking lot on the opposite side of the street. The store is kinda hidden but it is very nice. There is a little fountain, a bench on the street that is facing the building, from there you will see a standing sign leading you to the store, when I drive by the first time I couldn't catch it. It's totally cool! am pleasantly surprised when I walk in today. I can imagine during record store day, if there is long line, one can still wait comfortably inside the building. I was waiting for more than 90 mins under the sun for another record store during record store day. Right on Napa will instantly make the waiting experience so much better. Will definitely come back for more in the future. Today, I found "American life" mix show mix EP, a record store day release. I also pre order all the editions that Jim will carry for Confessions II. Will come back next week to pick up. They are all reasonably priced! Jim told me he had hosted multiple listening parties before from Harry Styles to Bruno Mars and many more, as a vetted record store, he has access to these listening parties when record companies are doing promotions. Definitely check this one out. This is in downtown Napa, very chic area with walking distance to all the nice restaurants and hotels. They also sell record player equipment, store novelties, local musician/artist CDs, books, etc. and even record cleaning and care. Great store, cool owner, I've found some dope soul/funk 45's here. Rick James, Sheila E, Prince, Motown and Gordy. Tons of Rock and some very hard-to-find original pressings of different genres. They also sell some used turntables, CD players, etc in the back. They order new stuff too, and had a bunch of the good reissues and new LP's for Record Store Day. Best part is they have a listening station and it's in Napa!!! Would love to see more of an Electronic section. read more

Amazing selection to choose from all together! I have gotten some of my best finds at this store. Very friendly owner and staff, they host performances too! The record pricing is extremely fair and not overpriced considering how much some of these records go for resale price once sold out!! After 20 dry years we FINALLY have a record shop in Napa! Right on!!! Fantastic record shop in the Little Caesars Pizza Shopping Center on California Blvd mere minutes from wine-soaked downtown Napa! I paid them a visit yesterday (Hello,Tim) with my friend Ray & felt right at home at once with the Flamin' Groovies & Big Star posters on the wall & records by The Who, Led Zeppelin, Frank Sinatra, Miles Davis, The Jam, Taylor Swift, The Beatles, Elvis Presley, The Velvet Underground, Flamin' Groovies & Big Star in the bins to name but a handful of the great artists I found in the bins. I dig that they have a NEW ARRIEVALS section so the regulars can go digging the latest additions...RIGHT ON!!! Ray got a bagful of records for only $50 with the likes of Proto Metal band DUST, The MENTORS (with the 7" included!) and a bunch of other gems. I got Evermore by TAYLOR SWIFT on pretty green vinyl! They also do Special Orders so if they don't have it they can likely get it. They also have a nice selection of books (including an ace book on THE JAM) that I hope to see grow in the coming months. A FEW SUGGESTION/THINGS I WOULD LOVE TO SEE: 1.) I would love seeing old music mags like CREEM,CIRCUS,CRAWDADDY,UGLY THINGS for sale as well as new ones like MOJO,CLASSIC ROCK ,GOLDMINE & PROG ROCK. 2.) Music DVDs. 3.) More CD Box sets. 4.) Posters for sale. 5.) Rock N Roll memorabilia (pins,old program books,trading cards,etc) 6.) Some Jerry Vale records for our pal,Bruce! Let's all support RIGHT ON!!! This is a great shop. I had no idea it existed. Bought a couple of albums here. It has a great selection with some rare albums as well. I even bought a Marantz receiver and some great infinity speakers the next day. Tim was very helpful and knowledgeable. Will definitely be going back. Five stars! read more

Beautifully, carefully, and expertly curated selection of vinyl here. And the owner/manager of the place is super down to earth and very helpful, willing to engage and answer questions, taking his time to interact, and not moving on to the next customer. So many awesome picks some of them hard to find. It was such a bummer because we live in the SF area and the day we went in, it was almost 95F outside, in the midst of a sweltering heat wave. Likely, it was hotter, since it was also that range here near Burlingame. Sop we debated about buying records and putting them in a cooler for the ride, but we would've had to go buy a cooler with ice, no less, all for records. I was all in, but my husband felt like it was too much trouble, so in the end we decided to postpone our purchase, but geeza lu, what a dope find for audiophiles, vacuum tube lovers, warm sound vinyl diehards, and more. Love love love just doesn't get any better than this, and by the way the free parking lot lot front and the prices here are on target. read more
