From the moment you walk through the doors, you are greeted with a warm and welcoming atmosphere that immediately makes you feel at home. It's the kind of place that reminds you of true Southern hospitality, genuine smiles, respectful service, and people who take pride in what they do. The food did not disappoint in any way. Every dish was prepared with care, flavor, and attention to detail. You could taste the freshness and quality in every bite. It's rare to find a place that balances great cooking with consistency, but this establishment managed to deliver both. The service was equally impressive. The staff was attentive, professional, and made sure every customer felt valued and appreciated. One thing that truly stood out to me was the cleanliness of the establishment. The tables were spotless, the environment was organized, and the overall presentation reflected excellence and pride in ownership. That level of care speaks volumes about the standards they uphold behind the scenes. The only thing that can make it better is if there was one in Huntsville Alabama .

It's cafeteria-style - you grab a tray and choose from the listed options when you walk in. We chose the fried catfish, which is made to order, so it comes out as fresh as possible. The ladies fill your plate as you go through the line, and once you're finished, a gentleman is waiting to take your drink order. The whole process is smooth and welcoming. The catfish was AMAZING - perfectly fresh and full of flavor! What really stood out, though, was the atmosphere. While we were eating, we could hear the staff talking and laughing with each other. Everyone seemed genuinely happy to be there and eager to help one another. That positive energy made the experience even better. And whatever you do... get the peach cobbler. It is absolutely worth it! 10/10 recommend - we will definitely be back!

This restaurant is across the street from the fairly popular Francesco's Italian restaurant. Having been there before, I didn't have any troubles locating this place. The parking lot is a little rugged in spots but at least there's plenty of space. The inside is a little sparse but there's ample seating and some kind of cool drawings hanging on the walls. A portrait of who I can only assume to be Minnie Lee is near the entrance. Food is served cafeteria style by some very nice people. Seriously, the service was so warm and sweet. We felt very welcomed there. We both decided on fried chicken for lunch. My mom got the last breast from the batch so I wound up with a thigh, which isn't my favorite piece but I still like it okay. You can have more than two sides if you wish, but we didn't. I chose yams and fried potatoes as mine, while my mom got yams and cabbage. Note that their cabbage is cooked with sausage. For bread, they offered standard cornbread muffins or hot water cornbread, which the friendly staff recommended (good choice!). We both opted for sweet tea to drink. I'm not sure of the price because of course my mom snuck in and paid for both of our meals before I could notice! Lol. We found a clean booth and dug in quickly. Overall, the food was pretty good! This isn't necessarily a new favorite soul food place for me, but I'd definitely come back. The best item was honestly the cabbage! My mom let me taste a bite. So flavorful and perfect texture. This is real, southern-style cabbage (which is to say, probably not great for you...but quite tasty!). The hot water cornbread was also really good. It's different than the hot water cornbread I've had in the past; this version was very crispy on the outside with super soft, almost gooey, corny inside. It was yummy. The yams were also solid! Not the best I've ever had (flavor kind of one-note), but they were sweet and soft. The fried potatoes and fried chicken were both just okay. The fried potatoes weren't super hot or crispy, but the added flavor from the onions was nice. The fried chicken's breading was crispy and flavorful enough, but the meat, even on the thigh, was a bit dry. Neither were bad, but if I return in the future, I'd probably try something else first. We were too full for dessert, but they had pecan pie and banana pudding on display. Overall, lovely service and tasty food make this a solid option in the area.

This is a hole in the wall place so don't be detered by the ambience as there isn't much but oh wow, the food and the service. Those deserve five stars for sure. The chef personally came out and explained to us what she used and what she recommended. Being a vegetarian , she knew how to make side dishes good without any meat which was a plus for us since we had a vegetarian in our group. See menu attached but how it works is they give you a piece of paper with what's available and if you want meat, you circle one meat and two side dishes for $9.99. This price is great because it also comes with rice, and a roll or cornbread and a drink. You definitely cannot get that deal anywhere else. We decided to go crazy and ordered a bunch more of their other side dishes and they were about $2 - $2.50 each and well worth it. Give them a try, I promise you won't regret it. Note: don't use the bathroom if you don't have to since it's in a weird part of the house/restaurant. In no way is it dirty but it just a makeshift bathroom located in a weird room. You'll know what I mean if you go there. Don't say I didn't warn ya.

We hired Kats Kreations in April 2025 for our May 16, 2026 wedding. Our wedding was Princess and the Frog themed, and we specifically wanted unique menu items, including smoked alligator and frog legs. After discussing our vision with the owner, Katrice ("Kat"), she assured us she could provide everything we requested, so we signed a contract. On May 2, Kat visited the venue and was provided with the necessary venue and coordinator information. Then, on May 14, she asked about arriving around noon on the wedding day to begin preparing for cocktail hour. I reminded her that cocktail hour was scheduled for 5:00 PM and dinner service for 6:00 PM, and she confirmed she would arrive accordingly. On the wedding day, I stopped by the kitchen around noon and noticed that most of the food preparation had not yet begun. Trusting that the caterer had properly planned her timeline, I focused on getting ready for the ceremony. Unfortunately, when cocktail hour began, none of the appetizers were available. Guests were left waiting while drinks were served, and my coordinator informed me that we would need to stall because the food was not ready. I was later told that communication with the catering team became difficult and that both my coordinator and members of my husband's family had to step in to address the situation. The situation only worsened during the reception. Dinner, which was scheduled to be served at 6:00 PM, was served over an hour late. By the time food was available, many guests had already left or were frustrated after waiting so long. To make matters worse, portions of the food were overcooked and burnt, which was extremely disappointing considering the amount of planning, trust, and money that had gone into the catering service. While I appreciate the effort that goes into catering a large event, the significant delays, lack of communication, and quality issues had a major impact on our wedding day and our guests' experience. When I asked for compensation, she left me on read. DO NOT HIRE BRIDES!
