The experience with them wasn't good. the kitchen remodeling was projected for 1 month it took 3 months.. the constantly tried to price gouged me. Also there were days workers didn't show up for days and the company still expected to be paid.. they hardly new when workers would show and made a bunch of excuses... I couldn't trust anything they said. I had to complain several times about them leaving waste they were supposed to dump and workers not showing up. Towards the end of the project I felt like I was just paying for them to get out of my life. At the end of the project they didn't clean or dispose of trash. I had to do it. My house was littered with dust and debris.. I had a bad experience the overall work was okay, but not worth half of what they charged.. find someone else for your project. read more

Got this ad in the mail a couple weeks ago, (looked like a reputable company), called to get an estimate for a rod iron fence and gate. This was my 2nd estimate. The first estimate from someone else was for $8,240 cash only! This 2nd estimate from RCR WAS.......$35,000.00! I received a flyer on my door. Made an appointment for a free roof and back yard estimate. The rep showed up with no ladder and only his cell phone, an electronic pad and a sample roofing case. Apparently he ran the property on the internet for the square footage, not knowing that 400 square feet of the home was a sunroom and needed no roofing. He quickly explained what they would do. I was told the 10 samples he had were the only ones available for my area. I wanted more selections and it took some convincing to get him to go back to his vehicle to get the more expensive samples. The color I chose was in the sample case he didn't want to show me. He wrote an over-priced figure down for the job. In fact the highest of all my estimates and he wanted to know the amount of the other estimate, which I refused. We were down in a matter of minutes. I felt boxed into what he wanted to give me or what he thought I could afford. I told him I didn't want to finance the cost and he was persistent about not paying anything until after the job was completed if I financed the project. We never got to the backyard remodel. I requested he email the estimate with the details. I called the office and was assured the same. Never received the estimate. It was not a good encounter especially when the discussion touched on wasting ones time. read more

Owner was dressed too nicely to look at foundation. He gave a random number of what it would cost, without seeing it. Never received quote. When asked about permits, he avoided it like the plague. DO NOT WASTE YOUR TIME!!!!!!!! I contacted right choice renovation for an estimate on a simple fence job for my front yard. I had gotten 3 previous quotes which were all around the same ball park figure, $5,100-$7000. I figured I would give Right Choice Renovation a shot. They sent me over one of their contractors who right away gave me the sense I was dealing with a seasoned used car salesman. Instead of just giving me a straight up quote he decided to show me tons of pics for kitchen and bathroom renovations he had done, mind you I just needed a fence. Then proceeded to tell me how he usually doesn't take anything under a $60,000 job and I got the sense that I should have felt honored he was even considering doing a fence even though on their flier they clearly say they do fences...anyway, once again for a simple front yard 40 inch high FENCE he quoted me $17,500!!!!!! That's right for a fence he wanted almost $20,000. No motor, no special bells or whistles, a simple wood fence. I told another contractor I contacted as soon as he left and the guy asked if he was trying to build me a gold fence. DO NOT get taken advantage by this company...shop around. Use any other contractor unless you are super rich and don't mind throwing money away. read more

Called Right Choice Renovations on a Friday and we set up an appointment to get a quote on a Room addition on top of my garage (ADU). Appointment was scheduled for Monday Aug. 2nd between 1 and 2 pm. Lauren called at 11:16 the morning of appointment asking to rescheduled due to a scheduling conflict on their end. I agree to reschedule for the same time and they would send their best. We are in the middle of a kitchen and bathroom remodel. Four weeks in and we still have not been presented with any kitchen design plans, just oral assurances that everything will look great. So far the subcontracters who have done work are great, but the project supervisor rarely tells who is coming or when. We have to call him and ask, and his response is " I will make some calls and get back you", which he rarely does. If you want to use this firm I suggest that you put every detail of everything you want done, ie. paint, cabinets, lighting, plug and switch placement, appliance placement, counter top material, floor tile, plumbing, etc and the cost and who is going to pay for each one IN WRITING and signed by them before you give them any money. Insist, in writing, that they must notify you each day as to who is coming each day and when. At this point we are praying that they finish the project without our having to be involved in a lawsuit. read more

My Husband and I signed contract to renovate our home, and we were assured that they were going to finish the job before asking for money. Our experience with this company has been unprofessional. Our biggest concern is that they ask for money yet they don't do any work and have abandoned the job. We tried working with them despite the unprofessionalism and signed two more contracts stating we will give them half of the amount at the beginning and the other half when finished. They did 30% of the job and stopped working and abandoned the job. and than threatened us to give them more money or else they will continue to stop the job. We told them they had to finish the job to receive the rest of the amount and then countered with putting a lean on our home. They fail to honor the contract signed between us and continue to threaten and extort us. We are honest and elderly people that are being taken advantage of. Its been seven months since they first began on our home and our home is taking a tole with all of the unfinished work.
