RAD just passed by my can at the curb while picking up the other two in my cul-de-sac this morning. Trying to call was unbelievably bad. I was #39 in the cue. Then I had to get ready for an appointment. I called back and was #49 in the cue. I've been waiting an hour on hold and my appointment's about to start. Customer Service is horrible....that is...if you can even get ahold of an agent over the phone. I left a message several times for a can replacement....no return phone call. Have sat on the phone , waiting for an agent to take the call several times.... The drivers are great and this is the reason I provide 1 star. This company bought out an old company i was with after I had cancelled my service and was completely paid up. Months later after having cancelled the service I suddenly start getting a late payment notice by mail then by phone. I called two times and was on hold for over 40 minutes both time btw. This is a chronic issue with this company and when i finally spoke with someone they were a broken record "my system shows you owed 25 dollars" over and over and over again. I finally asked to speak to a manager who promptly never returned my call. Avoid this company at all costs. They have horrible service and will spam you with false claims. read more

Failed to pick up my trash last week near Oro Valley, Az. Called and was on hold for just under an hour and phone was answered by a machine that said leave the service address, phone number and they would call back with in 24 hours. VERY poor customer service. I hope they call so I can cancel my service. read more

Be careful when you google them the time they show open at 6am. They don't open until 6:30am. Genius working there would not allow us to weigh in, even though scale was working and start our yard waste off loading. He made us pull out of the facility until 6:30 even though gates were open. Wish I would've come out and read the reviews before I started up with this company as I'm having all the same problems. I've had them for THREE weeks and they've missed picking up my trash TWICE. Every time I call, I'm on hold for at least 30 minutes and then when I finally get through it's some rude person on the line that's one step above too bad, so sad, they'll get it next week. Customer service is terrible and they're a trash company that doesn't actually pick up your trash. Complete and total incompetence. I'll deal with them for 2 more months since that's what I paid for and then I'll be going somewhere else. read more

I have been with RAD for a couple years or more...service started out good when they were getting customers...after that continual problems, no pick ups, you call in they hang up on you or blantantly tell you that you are lying! They stopped picking up completely, I called and they said "Oh you cancelled your service and it will cost to turn it back on!!!' WTH...Now I get a letter that says no more recycle pickups, and they sent an old article about issues in California and CHINA so they wont recycle anymore. ENVIRONMENTALLY FRIENDLY MY BUM! Horrible customer service. Changed our pick up date but never notified us. Have 2 overfull trash cans and they still have not come to pick up. Our trash day was weds. Put our cans out last weds and they never showed up. After talking to some neighbors it seems some were told the day changed to Tuesday. Today is Tuesday and still nobody has come by and we have over 2 weeks of trash. We can not call to talk to someone because we were call number 38 and after being on hold for 40 minutes our call was disconnected. Called back later on and we were caller number 68 so i gave up. I will be calling other trash companies today and finding out about changing to one that will contact me with changes and also has more then 1 person to answer the calls. I would not recommend this company at all. I would rather pay more if needed and use a different service. read more

I have had RAD since 2009 when I first moved to Queen Creek /San Tan Valley. I read all these reviews about customers that are unhappy about services so I thought I'd chime in. I always have my cans out the night before service, lids are always down, nothing sticking out of them and I have NEVER been missed. Every time I call in to make my payments, they make the process super easy and fast. Those customer service people are always friendly. Thanks RAD for taking my garbage away every week!! read more

In all the years I've been with this company pick up has been fine. The accounting department is horrendous. This year alone there have been several rate increases. Three months ago I was charged $65 and change. I was just charged $93 and change. I am on auto pay and never received a notification on any of the increases. I am a senior on a tight budget and I budget down to the dollar. This latest increase with no notification has left me with a deficit. I worked in business and this is no way to do business! read more

has not picked up recycling container 3 of the past 4 weeks. They have picked up the regular trash container. Have sent multiple emails to have recycling picked up...no response. Have currently been on phone for 54 minutes and am still holding. I absolutely do not recommend this company. Will be changing immediately. Am up to date on payments. I am very disappointed in RAD's customer service. Every concern I brought up was replied with "we are a privately owned company and can do what we want without notification." Per RAD, they are not accountable to any government agency and the customer just has to live with what they do. I was on hold for 55 minutes and had to listen to the recording telling me they have friendly customer service reps. Not True and they are not knowledgeable regarding why their company has raised their rates. Please think twice before using their service. My rats have gone up every time I have gotten a bill since August 2017. read more

$44 per billing term increase with no notice. 2 weeks ago got a piece in the mail saying recycling is too expensive/hard, something about blaming China, so we're stopping that service in your area. Called to see what account credit I could expect now that I was receiving half the service. Not only was I told no credit/refund at all, the conversation that followed was like a bad comedy skit. I can't get a credit because recycling was not billed separately and I still have the can. I offered to return the recycling can but was told I have to keep 2 cans. Ok. How about 2 trash then. No, you must have one of each. Yes but you're not doing recycling, I have to do it myself. Still must keep it and pay because they may do it again in the future. But no credit? Nope. And repeat. Ok cancel my account. Ok, it will be $30 to pick up each can. My head exploded. WM is sooo much easier. read more

This company is the worst I have ever dealt with. They raise rates, not by pennies or a couple of dollars, but by tens and twenties. Try calling them? Found myself #55 in line to speak to someone about the lousy service. Tried again, and I was #52. Tried a few hours later, and I was #72. That is not customer service; that is customer abuse. I cancelled my service using the contact on their website. I also followed up with a letter to the CEO, Jeremy Takas. If enough people give this company the reviews it deserves, maybe the general population will cancel their service and go with a local company and avoid this company altogether. read more

We have called the office to be told they don't care this is happening to many people and several of us have had to stop recycling because of the harassment. There is no excuse to empty my bin in my front yard searching for non recyclables especially when you contract with the prison and have the inmates sitting through the materials. read more

The Right Away Disposal truck through my neighborhood is HORRIBLE. The brakes makes so much noise each time it stops that it wakes sleeping children. I've called 4 times and even sent the maintenance manager (Andy B.) videos of the obnoxious noise. Nothing so far. read more

I have had RAD since June 2014 and everything started out so well. Trash was $30 and recycling was $12, so $42/quarter. June 2017 the trash became $33 and recycling $21 for $54/quarter, that was quite a jump, but it had been stable for 3 years so I was okay with that. However, then other things started to happen, so I was now paying more for shoddier service. Pick up became sketchy, sometimes trash sat out an extra day without being picked up, and then it sat from Tues. through to Fri. Recycling was being picked up a day after trash, which heretofore it had been the same day. Feeling frustrated I called them and asked what was going on, and they said "Oh your service day has been changed from Tues. to Fri." Well, thanks so much for letting me know! They couldn't manage to put a note on the bill? What sent me through the roof was the latest bill I received effective March 2019. Trash and recycling were now $37.50 EACH, for a total of $75/quarter up from $54 the previous quarter. It took 2 hours to get through to someone because each time I called I was usually Caller #20, and by the time I finally achieved Caller #1 they hung up on me! A few times my phone cut out because I was on hold for so long. The only explanation I received was a terse "Recycling went up" from the customer service rep. RAD does not care about their customers at all; no notification service day was changing, no notification that bills were increasing substantially, and poor phone customer service. I even wrote to them on their webpage contact form and I have received no response. Four years of great service just hit the dumpster; I don't know what happened, but I will not recommend them in the future. read more

I thought I would change trash service from Waste Management to RAD. The cost seemed much lower. After RAD gets you to switch, the prices went up to the nearly the same amount and RAD has trash pick up only once a week, not twice a week as WM does. Also, if you have to call customer service for any reason, you are usually on hold for a minimum of 35 min. read more

If I could give a "zero" star rating if I would. An unbelievably schlocky outfit with no concept of the term "customer service." Consistent long waits on hold while you're trying to find out why they didn't pick up your garbage. "The driver was there but the garbage can wasn't out yet." "I put them out the night before." "According to GPS he was there. He says the can wasn't out." "Funny, the recycling was picked up -- they go out together...the night before. Can you send someone out to get it?" "No. GPS says he was there. It's not our fault." Next week fine, both picked up. Week after no garbage pick-up again, recycling only. Long hold. Same discussion. "GPS says he was there so you must not have had the can out" It's my fault again. "The cans were out. They go out together the night before The recycling was picked-up (and, hey, call me a liar while you're at it) so can someone come get this garbage." "No." "Ok--you're fired. Come pick up the cans." "Ok." (next week cans get emptied but not taken away.) Long hold "No one picked-up the cans." "Cans weren't out." "Yes, they were." "GPS says they were there." "Yes, both were emptied and both have lids flipped back but they are still there." Long hold. "We'll send someone out to pick them up tomorrow between 6 and 6." Two days later the cans are still here! A completely ridiculous company! read more

Service is fine. Everytime I have ever called their number it has taken at least 10 mins waiting on hold after their phone tree. They are friendly on the phone but I now have to plan to call. I never got a paper bill in the mail so I couldn't register online and put off calling to pay my bill for so long I hit with a late fee. read more

This company can't get their accounting act together. After a rough first quarter when they took over Arizona Sanitation, they billed us for the next three months, which was paid automatically by our credit card. We called and cancelled the recycle service before the cycle started; they adjusted our invoice, refunded our card for the adjustment, and THEN THEY CLAIMED WE STILL OWED THE BALANCE PLUS A TWENTY DOLLAR LATE FEE! No phone calls, no emails, just a late notice saying our account was about to be sent to collections. Mind you, they have our credit card ON FILE. No wonder they can't keep customers. read more

I have had RAD for over a year. When I signed up getting through to customer service worked with minimal hold times. While their trash and recycle pickup service is fine, their customer service availability now is TERRIBLE! The calls for assistance now each take well over 30 minutes to be answered by a customer service person. If you ask to speak to a supervisor you are transferred to a voicemail recording with no call back or just left on hold. This business clearly does not care about servicing its customers any longer. Recommend you find another company for your trash pickup needs. read more

Been a customer of RAD for years. Their bill is simple, no surprises. Since setting up service, I only had to call them once because we were moving and it was a great experience. I waited on hold for maybe 3 minutes, the woman that answered the phone was super helpful. Thanks RAD!! read more

These people define customer service. I called a few minutes before close of business on a weekday and they had the dumpster dropped off the next morning at five. Everything was handled promptly, courteously, and professionally. Their prices are quite reasonable as well. I will gladly call them again next time I need waste service. read more

This is a crappy, upstart company with insufficient infrastructure to provide adequate service. WHEN WILL HOAS IN MARICOPA LEARN THAT CHEAPER IS NOT BETTER. Do not contract with them. Very poor service and they take absolutely NO responsibility for their complete lack of service. They failed to provide us service for 7 weeks, yet still demand payment for this period of time. They failed to bill us for 4 months, terminating our service, then billing us on August 21st for an April 1 bill, which did not include what they claim are the current charges, including boll for weeks of service not provided. Just say NO to Right Away Disposal. If you don't, you'll be sorry later. The owners are dishonest and too inexperienced to run a company. read more

If I could give them 0 stars I would. They discontinued service to our area. Since they didn't pick up our trash, they didn't haul off our cans. After several calls and being on hold for over 30 minutes ( you're call number 31!!!) I got through and they said someone would come and get our cans. They didn't. Over a month later, I'm still waiting. Finally spoke with someone who said they will be there tomorrow. My cans and the neighbors cans are both at the end of the dirt road. Some guy who barely spoke English comes to the door and asks where our cans are. "They're the ones you drove past to get to my front door!" We come home that night to find our neighbor's cans gone and ours still sitting there! When it says RAD on the side and you're not servicing this area any more, is it rocket science to pick up all the cans? God help me. read more

You're on hold for over an hour just to get told "too bad." When I spoke to a manager she was rude and disrespectful. They really don't know how to run a company. After starting out at 70 in the phone queue, 2 hours later we got to number 1 and guess what - they disconnected. How can you do business with a company like that?? Garbage pickup is timely and reliable. Recycle service is bad. Lucky if they pickup two weeks out of three. When you call they offer a couple dollar credit rather than sending a truck and speaking to the driver. read more

Stay away with this company. They missed two pick up within a month. I spent 30 mins wait time on the phone to request pick up, she told me that will be there the next day but no show. I called again for more than 30 mins wait, she told me there's no truck available that I have to wait another day, soo, my trash didn't pick up after three days late. Second time on the 11/20 missed again, of course I called from 8;00am in the morning until by noon I could talk to the operator but no luck, same thing she told me all trucks had been routed. I email twice and finally my trash to pick up on the 11/24. I'm switching to WM although it's a little higher but to deal with unreliable business, it's very stressful. I rather pay more to get better service. read more

Don't fill up your can too full. If the lid is up more than 50% (however they determine that) - they skip your house. Now I have to go back to wretched WM. :/ read more
