We recently completed a full home remodel with this contractor, and I truly cannot recommend them…read morehighly enough. From start to finish, their communication was exceptional--they kept us informed every step of the way, were always responsive, and made sure we felt confident and comfortable throughout the entire process. Their attention to detail and thoroughness really stood out. Every aspect of the project was handled with care and precision, and they consistently went above and beyond to ensure everything was done right. They were also incredibly prompt and reliable, sticking to timelines and showing up exactly when they said they would--something that is so valuable during a major renovation. Most importantly, the quality of their work is outstanding. Our home has been completely transformed, and the craftsmanship is evident in every room. It's clear they take great pride in what they do. If you're looking for a contractor who is professional, trustworthy, and delivers beautiful, high-quality results, this is the team you want. We are beyond pleased with the outcome and would absolutely work with them again!!

He helped interior South Lake Tahoe cabin remodel become a reality. We shared our ideas, and provided our budget. He was very good at working with us with suggestions and idea to keep us on budget. When unforeseen issues arose, he was quick to update us on the situation and offered solutions to remedy some of the antiquated and typical 1970's era construction. Also nice was the designed that Jeff had us work with provided us with wonderful "artist rendering" CAD designs so we could visualize ours -- and his ideas and suggestions. We would absolutely hire him again for our future projects. -Mike & Cynthia.

They cleaned up every bit of trash and nails so we had no concern with our dog running around after. It was a great value overall. Communication hasn't been the greatest and they can be hard to get ahold of. However, the roof work is top notch.

It was a dark and stormy Saturday afternoon…read more.... ....When, what to our wondering eyes should appear? .....Rain coming through the back bedroom window and occasional water drops through the ceiling. We wasted no time filing a claim and calling 3 different roofers that folks had recommended. Tom Goldson Roofing was the only contractor that responded (the next business day) and quickly diagnosed the issue, as we learned that this is a common roof issue within the Genoa Lakes subdivision. Even the USAA contracted adjuster knew this roofer and offered high praises. The proposed fix was modest, the cost was reasonable, and they were able to fit us in within a couple days and before the next big rain. We were also under our deductible, but we were happy to pay anyway. The work was detailed, professional, and as evaluated. The scope was in one of our 2 roof "valleys" that can accumulate snow, offer poor drainage, and eventually enter into the house. The next rain seemed to fix the drainage issue, for at least the time we may need to replace the roof or deal with a second valley issue.

Danny Collins responded in a timely manner to my phone request to check a problem under our house…read more He said he would go out and take a look and get back to me. He did just that and let us know that there was nothing to worry about as the installed beams were just reinforcement for something heavy that might have once been stored there like a gun safe, but were not integral to the structure of the sub floor. He did what he said he would and we're impressed with his honesty, integrity and punctuality! Would highly recommend Carson Valley Construction.

I discovered some Termite damage in three Floor Joists and Rim Joists in my home. The Pest…read moreInspector said there was no active infestation, but I should call a General Contractor. Danny's first Crawl Space inspection led him to guestimate was there was $5,000-$6,000 of damage, but there was no way to know for sure without removing the exterior wall. After Danny thought about it for a couple weeks before he came to work on the house, he came up with a stroke of genius. Instead of removing the exterior siding, he cut a hole in the floor by the damaged Floor Joists so he could easily reach the damage without multiple trips through the crawl space. Then instead of replacing a 6+ foot length of Floor Joist, he nailed 8"x2" pressure treated wood bracing on either side of the Floor Joists and backed-up 4 Rim Joists with 8"x2" pressure treated wood. He also screwed into the foundation sidewall pressure treated 2"x4" wood side bracing support from the foundation footing to the bottom of four Floor Joists. He did this all in one day (with a helper) at a cost of $1,000 instead of his original guestimate of $5K-$6K. Danny is a Genius, hard worker, and very honest!
