He acknowledged that the key costs about $20 on Amazon, yet charged me $325 for the visit. Before coming out, I told him on the phone that I thought a $325 service call was excessive. He replied that he would already be in the area and would stop by. Based on that conversation, I did not expect to be charged the full amount. The replacement key he left was old and clearly used. I also felt uncomfortable being pressured to pay on the spot. Had my husband been home, I don't believe the interaction would have unfolded the same way. Rather than argue or create a confrontation, I wrote the check and paid. I understand that service companies need to charge for their time and expertise, but charging $325 for a three-minute visit and a used $20 part did not feel fair. I cannot recommend this business based on my experience.

Multiple times we'd return to our place in Tahoe City to find that the cleaners made the beds without changing the sheets or only used the express wash load on the laundry to keep the cycles shorter instead of getting a thorough cleaning of the linens. They had been responsive and apologietic when that happened, so I kept being willing to give them another chance. This last experience was the last straw. After their last cleaning I found multiple sets of dirty sheets balled up and shoved into the linen closet. It is clear to me that they hadn't been actually washing sheets but cycling between sets of dirty sheets. We use our house as a second home and do not rent it to vacationers, so I can't even imagine what they do for clients who aren't there to check the quality. Additionally, during this same last visit, they were supposed to have cleaned the oven (which they charge extra for) and they didn't do it. I reached out to them directly when I discovered this and did not get a response. We obviously won't be using them anymore, but everyone should be aware that they need to do serious quality checks on this team.
