After many quotes from other companies, we choose John and his team for many reasons. We actually found them through a flyer advertisement. And would highly recommend them. - Communication: Their communication was beyond expectations. They were very transparent and detailed about everything. During installation, Andre asked and verified my options each step of the way. They were very honest and just great people to work with. - Price: John worked with my budget and offered a fair price. - Quality & Customizations: They use Duralum, which is good. There were lots of colors and styles to choose from. They were super flexible with the customizations. Other contractors were strict with having my patio width be either 18 or 19ft, but John's team allowed me a custom fit of 18ft and 6inches. I was allowed to choose where I wanted the posts to go. And I was given the choice of where to put the LED lights and some other things. I appreciate being able to choose. - Speed: John originally said it could take up to 3 weeks but everything was done in under 1 week from when the contract was signed. The permit was approved super fast, on Friday, and they began installation the following week and was done by the following Thursday, including inspections. Overall great experience! These guys are awesome and super chill. The only thing about this I didn't expect was the billions of Styrofoam beads (from the insulated foam roof) and tiny metal shards everywhere, from cutting the materials. They did try to clean it up, but it took a while for us to get rid of the remainder amount. There's still many pieces are embedded in my rocks and pea gravel, furniture, garden beds, and even into all neighbors yards too. So yeah, just an FYI to anyone else who's OCD, or have kids/pets that like to play on the floor outside. read more

I met with John to discuss and explained that I wanted an insulated aluminum awning attached to the house with fans, lights, and outlets. He gave what I thought was a fair price and we went for it. It took about one month to prepare and clear the permit with the city, and work started the next week after that. We had Andre and Eduardo to perform the work. First they did the hanger which the city inspected. On the first day of work after that, I met with Andre and confirmed all the details of the electrical and how the downspouts would be placed. We had some friends with positive experiences with John's team and they gave us a very fair price. They did the job within 1 week including the permitting and everything went very smoothly and was approved. One important note we asked of them was to keep the yard clean of any metal shavings or styrofoam and they did a great job of this. Andrae and Eduardo were the primary team members who did the actual construction and we were impressed with good communication verifying each step before moving forward. For example, they pointed out that our concrete is actually not the same length from end to end (not as "straight" as the naked eye would suggest) which is why the awning posts would not appear to line up with the concrete even though it is even and level to itself. We loved the ability to customize the number of outlets (3), ceiling fans (2) and recessed lights (6, and able to request the 2700k color temperature we wanted) and they hooked it all up with a smart switch for fan and dimming light control that was reasonably easy to set up after I figured out an initial issue that had to do with the brand of smart switch and it needing a specific setup code which I could not initially find (spoiler: the code was on the switch itself but underneath the rectangle plate around it). John specifically called me once I figured it out so he could help future customers with this issue so I was impressed with that commitment to customer service. It just rained today (a few weeks after completion) and I can confirm that there are no leaks, and the drainage they set up works very well. It was awesome to work outside while it was raining and felt like we gained a new room in the house. We also hosted an outdoor dinner already which was fun, but pro tip: since the 3 outlets are hooked up to a single circuit, do not use more than 1 electric hotpot or else it will trip the circuit breaker. This would be the case with any single circuit even inside the house so it's not any fault of theirs. My point is just that if there are 3 outlets it doesn't mean there are 3 circuits. Next time we'll need to use a separate propane hotpot as the 2nd one. Also, what we did not anticipate was that choosing white for the ceiling color would mean the top of the awning would also be white. Now, our view from the upstairs is blinding when it is very sunny outside and also you can see the dry dirt stains from rain and debris, so we wish they would have warned us about this possibility so we could have perhaps chosen grey instead. Pretty minor point though and overall it's made a huge, tangible change to our enjoyment of the yard. Thanks and would recommend! read more

I have so much good things to say about this company! First off, my wife and I initially hired another contractor to do our flooring, electrical panel, and and patio cover. After dealing with that company for the first two projects, we realized that it was time to cut ties with them because I did not like getting lied to as a customer. For the amount we paid for, and quality work we wanted to put into our own home, we wanted someone better. We started searching around and found Precision Awning Bro's on facebook. Just based off their photos, we decided to call them and schedule for a free estimate. John Perez, came out the following day, asked exactly what I wanted, did his measurements, and gave me a quote. Everything I had mentioned was clear to him, most specifically that I wanted it to be permitted work.. It was a 24x20 aluminum patio cover we discussed, with 4 canned lightings, an outlet. We wanted it attached to our Fascia boards, and so we requested for that to happen. We came to an agreement on pricing, and that I would purchase the fascia boards, and fans. I really wanted this to be completed before the Superbowl, and he made this happen! John put in the application for Permit with Vacaville, once that was done, started working the following week to do the framing, had the inspection completed, and the following days went straight to work on getting the patio cover up. Now , let me tell you readers what stands out about them. It's the assurance he gives you, and the fact that the owners of the company are the actual people working on your patio! It ain't subcontracted, or given to someone else to do the job, so there is no "messenger" involved. You deal directly with the person you initially hired to do the job! With this being said, they take pride in their line of work. John and his partner Andre, came out, positive attitude, explained every step by step process, clean and organized. They run any issues with you that they encounter along the way, and explain every detail to you so there is no confusion. I had some concerns when the patio cover was going up, like spacing between the fascia boards and the patio, but they brought the pieces over to me to show me where things will go. We, as homeowners, also made sure they felt at home whenever they were working, giving them access to our restrooms and giving them drinks. But like I said, they are really hard working and the ideal contractors you would love to deal with. I couldn't select zero stars so bare minimum is one...I signed a contract with Precision Awnings on 4/26/24. Informed Jesus that the installation had to wait for house to be painted. We informed Jesus house was ready on 6/6/24 and installation could begin Friday 6/7/24. And that's when radio silence began. I texted Jesus again on 6/10/24 asking when a firm date can be scheduled, at which time he responded "It's look like 2 weeks from now." Then silence again. I texted on 6/14/24 and 6/22/24 just trying to get a date for installation...no response. Zero communication from them. I then texted again on 6/26/24 and told him that if they were too busy for my project, I would just like to get my deposit back. He indicated he understood and would send that out. Fast forward today (8/30/24), I have sent multiple texts to Jesus requesting a refund of our deposit asking why it's taking so long, which gets ignored. The deposit was supposed to be $580. However, I paid them $600 because we were committed to getting our project done. I regret it. I am still trying to chase a refund. A month ago, he said he could send it via Venmo. I sent him my Venmo then...nothing! I reached out again twice more. He then replied "I will get that to you sir." That was two weeks ago. I've since sent him three more texts asking when he's sending the money via Venmo...nothing! I once again reached out on 8/26/24 in which Jesus finally responded and asked for my Venmo code (even though I had already sent him my Venmo info), but of course he did not send the money as usual. He'll act like he's about to pay it, then doesn't and ignores all my messages. I even searched for him on Venmo, tried to confirm by sending him a screenshot of his Venmo and sent him a pay request....nothing! All this chasing just trying to get our $600 deposit back.
