When we visit McCall we always stop in here and we get everything we need. They have great food at fair prices and the staff is always nice. We always make a point to get their guacamole because it's some of the best we've had. read more

I am not sure what happened to the review I wrote over the summer. I have a Ridley's right by my house back in Kuna, Idaho and the experience at this location is so different. The customer service is horrible on each of the multiple visits we have made here. Originally we only came here out of convenience but would not be in a hurry to come back. They have a great fishing selection and based on me knowing what I want is the only reason I gave it an extra star. The employee I have run across in this area is completely unhelpful and usually just like this last week on 12-10-23 didn't even acknowledge us and was so busy talking with another employee. When we were here over the summer this place looked like a total disaster. I have never see a grocery store in such disarray and out of stock of merchandise. This week we went back in for a few things and while we found the place to be in better shape the employees are not friendly. One of the cashiers looked so miserable and scowled at us as we walked by. The other 2 employees on the front end were so busy they never even looked up from talking to each other. I am sure the founder would be rolling over in his grave knowing one of his locations was like this with rude employees. With the Albertsons right down the street I will it be coming back here anytime soon. read more

I purchased a kayak from this store and tried to return it less than 2 weeks from the date of my purchase. It was unused and not damaged in any way. Without even bothering to look at the kayak, I was told they "don't do returns on large items." I asked to talk to the store manager. His first words were "haven't you already spoken with two of my managers and they told you no returns?" I pointed out they specifically have signs stating no returns on certain items (swimsuits, guns, ammo) but not on their water craft, at which point he stated he "was not going to argue with me." His tone was rude and he made no attempt to work with me. My advice: don't shop there. read more

when we entered the store with our 2 month old German shepherd puppy, everything was going fine employees were petting him and he was friendly to everyone. then the manager came out and told us we needed to take him out to the car because he isn't a service dog. there were at least 6 other dogs in the store on leashes like our dog was and we were asked to take our dog to the car and leave him in the hot car while we grocery shopped. there is no reason that a pup should have to be left in a hot car when he has done no wrong and be selected out for being a German shepherd puppy read more

I like the prices and selection, but the employees need lots of work. No self checkout. Too many employees who are all to eager not to help. 1. I needed help finding & item I'd spent several minutes looking for it. When I found 2 employees, I stood there waiting for them to finish their conversation before they acknowledged me. The teenage female employee flippantly said its in isle 12 and acted bothered when I asked her to show me...turns out they didn't have the item...glad I asked her to show me. 2. Verizon service doesn't work in the store and their in house wifi is very weak. When I told a manager about how difficult it is to shop without the ability to communicate with my wife he didn't care. Instead he made excuses that too many people in McCall slowed their wifi & that even he didn't have access to the 2 other Ridley's locked wifi networks with better signals. Basically, he didn't understand wifi, nor did he care to understand how it negatively affected my shopping experience. (People often need to communicate with others when shopping, ie store is out of something, clarification an item on the shopping list, etc.). The manager could have cared less. Take heed Ridley's owners, your employees need some customer service training. Maybe have them read "How to Win Friends & Influence People" to start. Consider downsizing, open a self checkout line and get some decent wifi. Otherwise, competitors my take your customers. read more

We chose RIdley's Market as our food shopping needs mostly because it was close to our house up in Spring Mountain Ranch and I didn't see any other grocery stores on a quick tour of the downtown area when we pulled into town. I don't really know how to describe Ridley's as it was a grocery store, a liquor store, and a sporting goods store all in one. As you check out, you can look to the east end of the store and see giant tents hanging from the ceiling, so if you are one of those people who are reminded of what you need as you see it checking out, then go here! Sadly, I didn't venture through that side of the store, so I am left to my mind's imagine of the treasures that lurk. Their meat selection was actually pretty decent - I was able to pick up some well marbled T-bones that I thought were really well priced. So, long story short, if you need a watermelon, some bottles of wine, and a tent to tie up the experience, Ridley's is your store! read more

As a local I've always liked Ridley's, but the customer service is well below acceptable. I tried to return a pair of boots after having them for one day, were not worn outside, they were very expensive, but just not a good fit. We go to the customer service line and upon trying to return them we were greeted with an attitude that seemed bothered we even came to the counter for help. Crystal asked what was wrong with them and we said they just did not fit well and we would like a refund. Again, they were just bought the day before (not worn outside). She got an argumentative tone with us and we actually had to say to her that we were not trying to argue but they were very expensive and don't fit well, so we felt it was a good enough reason for a return. She seemed to then realize after us saying this that she was being argumentative and then took a step back and listened. She continued to say that she doesn't have authorization to approve the return and we must come back on another day. She was not helpful or nice during this process and she basically said sorry for your luck. A week later we tried to return the boots again and SHE took them back and gave us a refund no questions asked. Seems like we caught her in a bad mood and that hindered us being able to return our item or not. Horrible customer service, and very inconvenient. read more

It's rare occasion that I visit this Ridley's location but when I'm in the area, I ALWAYS stop here. I love the small town feel to it. You can find just about anything you need here. My favorite time to visit is in the morning when I can snag a fresh donuts. I can't tell you how many people I've raved to about the donuts here! I would compare this to a Walgreens or Rite-Aid. You really have the choice between this and Pauls in McCall for groceries and miscellaneous needs. Its a tourist town so prices will be a little higher than normal but not outrageous. One stop shopping for most of your needs. read more

Although there is a mask mandate in Valley County, the McCall Ridley's store is very lax in complying, and rude to people who want to shop safely. I would like to be able to shop there, but most of my friends have changed to Albertson's because Ridley's has been horrible about the mask mandate. I contacted them about two unmasked employees, another in a crocheted mask, and a fourth with mask covering only her mouth, and that loosely, and this is the response they sent me through their face book page. I am mortified at the rudeness, and non-compliance. This pandemic has been a boon to the Albertson's in the McCall area, and if you care at all, you will step in and encourage their employees to wear masks. This is what they sent in response to my query: "I don't know why you would think we are not serious? We have already addressed this issue. Obviously we offer free o long shopping with pick up (use PICKUP2020) for anyone who prefers and feels safer but we take our own health and safety and the health and safety of our guests very seriously" this behind the anonymity of a facebook response, so I have no idea who actually answered my question. needless to say, we will also switch to Albertson's in McCall. read more

This review is mainly for the sporting goods section of the store. I came in because this was the only local store that carried fishing supplies in Mccall surprisingly. I came in with the intention of finding information on local rivers to fish since I am on vacation and most importantly love to fish! Talked to Jim who was pretty informative and friendly. Also, spoke to a few locals who gave me some of their knowledge too! Jim helped me out with the lures that he knew worked best and sent me on my way! read more

Awful. Never seems very clean. Poor service. Bland, tasteless food in the deli. Stay away especially from the fried chicken (the only seasoning is way too much salt). I switched over to the new Albertson's as soon as they had their grand opening. Much cleaner, better, friendlier service. Even their private label brands are good. read more

This is an Idaho version of a Fred Myers. They have a little bit of everything you need from garden tools to boots and clothes, apples and steak, they have it all. We do our shopping here when vacationing at the cabin simply because of the ease and the larger selection when compared to other stores in the area. I also got a pair of fuzzy boots to keep my feet warm last time I visited. They only set me back $25 and were actually kinda nice and semi comfortable. read more
