It's always a big treat when we visit McCall and can visit Rite Aid's Thrifty's ice cream counter. Yesterday afternoon we stopped by and my children went inside with Grandpa, absolutely thrilled. It was such a damper on the excitement when they returned to the car discussing how the male employee serving the ice cream had such a terrible attitude and made them highly uncomfortable. I do understand there doesn't seem to be someone exclusively assigned to the ice cream counter, and employees likely are pulled away from other duties to serve at the counter. I could see how that could be frustrating but please don't take that out on customers.

The pharmacist who helped me said that he was a traveling pharmacist for Albertsons was also very helpful and friendly. He even helped evaluate which products to get from the non-prescription options in the shelves outside of the pharmacy counter. I think I've seen the grouchy older lady others are talking about. She's as unhelpful and unproductive as it gets. I just pretend like I don't even see her and just speak to the others working. This has worked well. The friendly and helpful service of the others working there far outweigh the negativity from the old witch mentioned by others. So much so that I want to thank them with a five star review.

I love their holiday aisle and I appreciate the work that is put into it. The candy is always together, if their are toys they are next to each other and I love that everything is in reach for me. They always have great prices on things that most people are looking for. Water is cheap and toilet paper is priced well also.
