The inside is actually so charming with a lot of historic cabinets and stain glass details that I was not expecting at all. It's right off Falls Rd so very centrally located. You go to the deli counter, place your order, and then pay at the cash register up front. The menu is huge and overwhelming for a first timer. I got the Italian cold cut with everything on it on the gluten free roll. My boyfriend got the Black Russian on rye which came with roast beef, swiss, and coleslaw. We also got a small side of the broccoli salad. I loved the sandwich. It was stacked with yummy meat and flavorful sauce. I wish I would've added banana peppers for an extra kick though. It's been forever since I've had an Italian cold cut because so many places don't offer GF bread and if they do, it's usually sad white bread that falls apart the minute you touch it. The GF roll was pretty solid and stayed in tact. Next time, I'll probably get a hot sub since the flavor and texture of the roll would be better if it was toasted. The owners are very kind and will remember your name. They will also receive packages for $1 cash ($1.50 if using cc I believe). I've had packages delivered here dozens of times and have always picked them up safe and sound.

In my visit, I ultimately chose a Lienenkugel Honey Weiss, but they had maybe 50 or 60 different options - which include, of course, your standard domestics like Yuengling, Budweiser, etc., along with Brewers Art things and plenty of other craft brews. For a local place that isn't a truly dedicated liquor store, they had a really great display. There are wines here, as well - though at a cursory glance, I didn't see any Boordy stuff, which the old ownership did carry, and which is a Baltimore favorite. No hard liquors - this is basically a beer/wine/convenience store. The junk food is junk food. During the summer, they'll make you a snowball, but you should go to One Sweet Moment, a few blocks away, instead. If tobacco or lottery tickets are your thing, they have them here. The store is a bit garish and dumpy, but it fills its function well, and without too much of a mark up.

The manager is a friendly guy and is willing to cut you some deals on items if you ask but only he will. The other employees might apparently over charge you for items so be sure to check. They taxed me for milk and bread once when they're not suppose to.
