I am rating this location as a local market. In terms of wine, liquor, and beer selection, I would give this four stars. Plenty of cold beverages as well as a robust wine selection. The liquor selection is reasonable for the size of the location, but don't expect very much in the way of high end selections. They have a few more expensive bottles behind the counter. In terms of dry goods and cold food selection, I would give this three out of five stars. There just isn't that much here. What they have is reasonable but it honestly feels like it's there to provide an accompaniment to the primary business of selling alcohol. In terms of the deli I would actually give this five stars. This is in comparison to other food market delis, of which admittedly the area has few. It's not going to be as good as a true restaurant or somewhere that only provides food, but they have a robust deli selection and can make a variety of hot and cold sandwiches. If you're looking for actual deli meat by the pound, I would recommend going to a grocery store instead however. The staff are very friendly and the line moves quickly. Overall a great local shop. read more

The have a breakfast sandwich called a belly buster that is amazing. Great cheesesteaks and good American cold cuts the service is always amazing read more

Service is important. Also, being a knowledgeable employee would be beneficial. If your store has a sign that reads something about checking ID, maybe you should learn how to read an out-of-state license. Just because you are unfamiliar with laws governing out-of-state permits doesn't mean you have the right to refuse an acceptable form of ID. The incident occurred on January 20th between the hours of 6:45-8 pm. A lady refused my ID because it was from WA state. If you carry an out-of-state license, prepare to be denied the sale of alcohol. I love this little market in Canton. Easy walking distance from Anchorage Marina. Canton Market offers an excellent selection of beer, wine, spirits along with groceries and deli sandwiches which I've heard are amazing. The management team is very friendly. read more

A good local market. Good lunch specials. They have decent prices on alcohol. Not a great selection though. If you're driving from Canton into the city on Boston St, and you need a beverage or some food, stop by. read more

This place is pretty good. I stayed with my friend on his boat for the weekend so the walk is really close (3min) from the harbor. Sandwiches are great. There is thing called the hots that they can put on it for you. I haven't had a sandwich there without the hots, but I'm imagining it's just the banana peppers with a bit of sauce. Other than that, it really just is a 24hr convenient store with a 24hr deli. Make this your next stop for late night drunkenness. read more

Stopped in here on a Sunday evening recently to pick up some Natty Boh on my way out of town, as it wasn't available in my "city" at the time... Wandered around the perimeter for a minute, just checking out the various items for sale. Was mean-mugged from the get-go, for no apparent reason. Do I look like a shoplifter?? Who knows. Made my way over to the beer selection, and not one second after glancing at a 30-pack of Boh, was screamed at from across the room: "IF YOU'RE LOOKIN FOR BEER WE CAN'T SELL IT TODAY!!!!" Excuse me? I had been staying near the Bo Brooks Lighthouse Liquors for a week, and had purchased beer there on a Sunday - what the hell? Didn't feel like asking why they wouldn't sell me beer here, as I was afraid I'd be shot for even attempting to look at the bitchy clerk. Jesus Christ! If you need some booze, go elsewhere, unless you're in the mood for some extreme verbal domination by a not-so-feminine jerk of a woman whose cornflakes had obviously been shat in... read more

This is your perfect neighborhood market. If you live near here or you're just passing through, consider this your one-stop shop. Beer/wine/liquor (a rather large selection with a lot of pre-cooled too), a full-service hot and cold deli sandwich counter (tip: try out the three potato salad - it's potato salad made with gold, red, and sweet potatoes), small-scale food market (cereal, toilet paper, office supplies and similar; basically a scaled-down super market). Need ice for your cooler? They've got it. Need cash? Yep, there's an ATM inside. They've even got a stash of ping pong balls for the beer pong enthusiast. Also solid hours. 24/7 most days but they do close earlier (maybe around 11 pm) on Sundays. read more

Their subs are quick and decent, Check your booze before you buy it though... I've gotten old stuff multiple times. read more

Canton Market - Expired beers - Convenience Stores Near Me - Baltimore, Maryland

See all

When I'm in the area and need to hit a convenience store, this is the place. The staff is friendly, the place is well lit and clean, and the prices are about what you'd expect for a convenience store in the middle of Baltimore. Go on, give 'em a try. read more

I LOVE Canton Market. Mostly because it is a block away from my house and has fairly priced beer, wine and booze. They have recently expanded their wine selection and it is fabulous. The deli counter at Canton Market has become a must-go-to after a night of drinking. They have awesome chicken salad and my husband loves something called a Roast Dog (whatever that is). The only thing I'm not really a fan of is their deli salads (potato, macaroni, etc.) because they have a lot of mayo/dressing and are pretty bland - though the 3 Potato is good enough after a night of boozing. The staff at Canton Market are helpful and always nice. They know my name, which always makes you feel special. They are also great about ordering special items for you at cost. Also, I always feel safe there late at night because cops park in their parking lot or are inside the store buying something. Overall, if you live in Canton and need some booze or a decent deli sandwich at a good price, stop by Canton Market. read more

Had their signature "Irish Burrito" for lunch today and it was pretty awesome - went with the "garlic wrap" for bread choice. Not the biggest wrap but it was very tasty. read more

I love Canton Market for their beer/wine selection. They recently bought out the neighboring store and expanded to a large beer/wine/spirits service. Great prices and selection. They carry the standards, as well as many local and craft brews. If you see the owner, you can even tell him what you like and there's a good chance you'll see it on the shelves next time you come in. read more

Unfortunately Canton Market is not the place to shop for sandwiches, wine, liquor or beer. It is a glorified, high -priced 7-11 in disguise and nothing more. The beer and wine prices are outrageous, the prices of products in the market are overpriced also and sandwiches -- not so good. The owner who has operated this business as a convenience store for a number of years now thinks he is a beer and wine expert since adding a liquor store to the convenience market. This area does not need another liquor store or bar as there are far too many on the Boston Street corridor. read more

Only thing I have to say is... Expired product!!! Was getting OJ, the date was 11/16...more than one of the product says 11/09 on expiration! read more

Excellent friendly atmosphere .. good food, always willing to listen to whatever your requests are.

I really like this market because the selection is good and prices are fair. They have hard to find snack items (skybars, old school candy, etc.) and a good liquor selection. the coffee is terrible- don't even attempt it in my opinion but everything else is good. I think the employees are a little cranky at times but they do get slammed and often with drunk people so I can overlook that. read more

Love the ladies here! A real slice of Bawlmer! Great selection of beer, wine and liquor, and a nice little deli counter. Get the steak and cheese sub with hots. It's the bomb-diggity! read more

I've lived near Canton Market for almost 5 years now, and have come to completely depend on the place for almost everything. I get my coffee and breakfast there almost every morning, and come back at night for the convenience of the sandwiches. I love their meatball subs, I think the sauce is homemade. What I also like is that they carry things you wouldn't guess most convenience stores do, like packing tape, which came in extra handy in my recent move. Since I live nearby, I go there a lot for things like cat litter, beer and wine, sinus meds, toilet paper, snacks, and to use the ATM. I think their beer/liquor prices are very reasonable, and their cigarettes are some of the lowest around. We always go in after the bars close, because they're still open and happy to make you a sub or sandwich. If you've got a sweet tooth like I do, try their rice pudding and pumpkin rolls, or grab a berger cookie or cake. They have so much stuff! The owners really are some of the nicest folks I've met in Baltimore. They let me hang fliers in there for my organization, and put business cards on the counter. I'm in there so much that we even pick on each other now, and I think that's a great thing with a local store that's not a big chain. I know there are a few 7-11's going in on Boston Street, but no thank you...I'll stick with Canton Market. read more

Buyer beware. The prices that they show on their shelves are not what they actually ring up. As you might guess, the prices are actually higher. And when you point this out to the cashier, they claim that there's nothing they can do about it. The only thing they have going for them is their convenience. read more
