Great!! I was in a pickle with a volvo that was shaking a lot during acceleration! Chris at Ridge Street was AWESOME -- over the phone with a description of the symptoms, he was able to confidently tell me exactly what he would do to to confirm his hypothesis. We brought the car in and it worked out really well -- he did the diagnostic and confirmed his suspicion. There was no pressure to get the car fixed with him, and he told us that we could still drive the car and got us on on merry way. After getting our day done, we simply dropped the car off at the gas station later that night. They fixed the car in 2 days time and let us pick it up on off hours, again using the gas station. It was great -- hope not to be in need again, but will definitely go back if I have to. read more

STAY AWAY...even if it's a simple oil change. We went there for an oil change on our Lexus and they came over with a laundry list of things that needed "Immediate Attention!" The most egregious was their claim that our front brake rotors and pads were worn and dangerous. Ironically we had put in new front rotors and pads at our local Lexus dealership two months earlier. The owner said that our air suspension was iffy and that they also needed attention. Because of his claim that we needed front rotors, we knew that this place was a ripoff clown show. We were nervous about the air suspension so we stopped by the dealership. The Service Manager checked and said the air suspension was perfect. I would be extremely wary to bring my vehicle into these grifters. Not only what they told us was abhorrent, but the fact that they put the fear of God into us over their claim of a worn out, pricy air suspension. If they'd do this to us, why wouldn't they do it to you? STAY AWAY! read more

Be careful - shoddy workmanship and poor service experience. I went in for a slow leak to my right rear tire - was told that they would plug the leak for $25.00. They called me back saying there was a crack in the Tire Pressure Monitoring System (TPMS) on the valve that was causing the leak. $134.00 repair. After they completed the repair my TPMS light on my dashboard went on. I went back to the station three times - they would turn off the light each time only for it to appear again a few hours later. At that point I was told further diagnostics needed to be done and it would cost me. Clearly the garage installed the piece incorrectly or used a piece not compatible to a Honda Civic. Needless to say after getting burned the first time I didn't trust this garage to do any further work on my car. Went in for an inspection and was told that my vehicle failed for a strut leak. However, it is specifically outlined in 15 CRR-NY 79.21 that a strut leak is "not a cause for rejection". I have brought my car in twice to have snow tires mounted for winter. Both times, they have managed to mount the tires incorrectly so that they rotate in the wrong direction (the tires are prominently marked as to which way they should rotate). This is simple stuff that shouldn't be missed - let alone twice. What else would they fail to do properly if I brought my car in for service there? They also bait and switch on their already high pricing. The price quoted on the phone was not the price asked for when the job was done. That said, they are in a very convenient location. read more

Thankfully, I haven't had many service issues with my cars, but these guys are great for NY State Inspections. You can drive right in and you're next in line. Or, call ahead and find out if there are cars already in line. Rye Ridge shopping center is right across the street, so you can make good use of your waiting time by getting a bite to eat or do some shopping. A couple weeks ago I got a flat tire down the street from this shop and Omran the owner came to get me, fixed me up in twenty minutes and I was on the road again. I was stopped near this gas station by a police officer because I had two brake lights out. I pulled into the station and asked if someone could put bulbs in for me. A young man put one bulb in. I asked for the second bulb. He asked if I was sure as each bulb would be $20.00. I was shocked. I asked for the owner. Questioning the price he said "that's right. Because you are not a regular customer". Needless to say I left with one Bulb!!! read more

AVOID! Horrible repair experience. Very incompetent mechanics. Common to find unhappy customers just about any time you go in. Do not even get your car inspected here. Owner is very friendly and cordial but does not understand business ethics. A routine electric window repair tuned into a 3 month multi-return nightmare and cost me over $600. The shoddy workmanship caused several new problems due to lack of expertise. Also, the mechanics do not work carefully enough and are very prone to causing damage to the car interior. Sloppy work on the outside and inside. This was witnessed, I only wish I had taken a video. After weeks and weeks of getting nowhere the owner verbally promised to fix at no additional cost, then handed mr a bill for an additional $225. When I refused to pay they put a lock chock on my car and moved cars behind it so I could not leave. Feeling intimidated I called the police. Because this was a civil matter, the police could not force the owner to return my car so I left it there. Within 30 min the owner called, capitulated and told me I can pick up my car. Oh yea, and he said they did not boot my car to prevent me from leaving, that was for "safety". Yea, looked more like the mechanics new the drill and do it all the time. Very telling. What was that? Please avoid at all costs. They also frequently run out of "regular" gas forcing people to then buy premium if they need it. This happens all to frequently - much moe than any other gas station. My advise - AVOID THIS BUSINESS FOR EVERYTHING. P.S. - of course after all this the window does still not operate properly so I need to have it serviced elsewhere. Grrrr. read more

Don't ever go here for an inspection. They lost my registration. Today I dropped my car off for an inspection and they said it would be done in 45 minutes and they would call when it was done. No problem. I went across the street to rye ridge plaza to get a coffee and after no word for an hour I walked back to find my car finished. They signed me out and I paid. I saw they replaced my out of state sticker with the new one. They also went in my glovebox and put on my new registration sticker that I had planned to install after getting the inspection sticker. I looked in my glovebox for the paper receipt the sticker came from to have for my files and did not see it. I decided to drive home and look closer when I got to my home up the street. I tore my car apart looking and did not find it. I called them and they told me to come back. I came back and after around 20 minutes of the mechanic who did my inspection looked through my car, he proceeded to double down and tell me that's the only place it could be and I clearly lost it or it blew away in the wind when I opened my glove box (my windows were closed mind you and the car was parked and off). My car was messy which I guess gave him leverage but they didn't even attempt to see if it accidentally got tossed out. I was very polite but lost my patience when they essentially blamed me for losing it and decided instead of apologizing and looking more to instead gaslight me. These dudes totally are sexist and shitty. Don't ever recommend them. read more
