Here in America consumers have every right to leave reviews and share their experiences. The customer is always right. In the end, I decided it was all worth it, largely because I trusted Ralph and his team. I found Farrow's to be thorough, knowledgeable, honest, and communicative. Not so from a local dealer's Subaru service department which may have actually contributed to the problems with the engine (but I'll never know that for sure). My car was with Ralph and team for almost two months. Ralph never sugar coated anything -- was forthcoming about the time it would take for parts, repairs, etc, and the costs. They were diligent in working to diagnose the root cause, not just symptoms, to get it right. I picked up my car yesterday and needless to say: it's running great -- like having a completely new car (at 120k miles in). Chris at Ridge Street was AWESOME -- over the phone with a description of the symptoms, he was able to confidently tell me exactly what he would do to to confirm his hypothesis. We brought the car in and it worked out really well -- he did the diagnostic and confirmed his suspicion. There was no pressure to get the car fixed with him, and he told us that we could still drive the car and got us on on merry way. After getting our day done, we simply dropped the car off at the gas station later that night. They fixed the car in 2 days time and let us pick it up on off hours, again using the gas station. I would be extremely wary to bring my vehicle into these grifters. Not only what they told us was abhorrent, but the fact that they put the fear of God into us over their claim of a worn out, pricy air suspension. There was no problem or huffing and puffing around this, unlike other places I've been to in the past. Pricing was reasonable and they were honest about what everything should cost.
