Parking across the road in a lot. Yay! Great staff. Amazing food. Even the gluten free pizza that my friend made me try was tasty! Fries... So good. I had seriously... One of the best chicken burgers I have ever had. I chose a garden salad with it. Yum. I've been at least 3 times here. Always fun. Friends. Date. Alone. Live music some nights. Clean. Bathrooms... I never thought I'd be touring the 'Hood for microbreweries, especially during a pandemic - and yet, here I am, doing exactly that! You gotta make your fun where you find it, and bring it on home! So, we recently stopped in at the Carp Fair Grounds for the Carp Farmers' Market (a whole new experience during the pandemic! But this is for another review :-) ) On the way to the Fairgrounds, we passed by the new Ridge Rock Brewing Co., and we were very impressed with the big patio out the back of the building. Since we do enjoy craft beer, we decided to stop by on the way home from the farmer's market on this day. First of all, the brewery is in an updated red brick building on the corner of Carp Rd. and Donald B. Munro Dr. There is a seating area or two to your left as you enter, and a reception / cashier on the right, where they also sell souvenirs (cool!) It's nice and bright in here, and I can't wait until we can sit inside again, and share good times at one of these tables. On the day we were here, we were 2nd in line, but nobody was at the cash. We waited for not more than 5 minutes for the server to get back. She was friendly, informative, and efficient, and didn't take long to get to us. We picked up an 8-pack of a variety of beers: 2 Blonde, 2 Amber, and 2 Late Harvest, as well as 1 each of Lett Kveik and Spro Kveik - specialties of this brewery. I couldn't wait - we shared a can of the Amber over lunch. It was very tasty! I look forward to going back, hopefully to dine-in, at some point over the summer. read more

Ridge Rock Brewing - This was the first beer we tried from yesterday's purchase at Ridge Rock Brewing Co. I like it! - Brewpubs Near Me - Ottawa, Ontario

Went yesterday to meet a group who participated in the 'Escape Room' experience at the Diefenbunker facility. I am not one those that traipse around trying all the 'Micro Breweries' that have popped up over the years. Moreover, not a big fan of 'Craft' beer and the like. However, I did enjoy the Blonde offering here. So much so that I ordered another. Not to mention the pricing was a nice surprise. However, that is not the reason for me sharing. The menu is typical if not underwhelming in choices. I only tried the one item so am not aware of the overall quality of the general menu. What I want to review is the Italian Deli sandwich. You have to enjoy Italian Deli meats with a bit of heat (nothing unappetizing). I like my sandwiches and this was most definitely in my top experiences. I'm even gonna save you the website visit by describing it here. Prosciutto, spicy calabrese salami, genoa salami, mozzarella cheese, arugula, sliced pepperoncini, balsamic reduction, and pesto mayo, served on a ciabatta bun. Maybe the person who prepared it for me was having a brilliant day cause it was so delicious. Every bite was perfect and the fusion of the contents were to perfection. There was even a bit of overhang of the meats that I saved for the end and washed down with that match-made-in-heaven of a beer ( the aforementioned Blonde). Just writing this makes my mouth water. Good job they're 30 plus Km's away as I might be there more often than not. read more

Beer is good, food so so. We had 4 chicken wings orders, they were unseasoned, 1 order had few bloody wings. Server took them to let cooks know, but did not replace them, apologized, or offered to take them off the bill untill we complained. The place is nice and has good atmosphere, but patio could use bug zappers as flies and mosquitos were everywhere and made the whole experience unpleasant. read more

This was an awesome place! Loved the ambiance , cool people. Reminded me of my favorite pub back home in Santa Monica . Was here with family until closing time got a couple of brews . Definitely will be back! read more

Had a great lunch with my family and some friends on Sunday. The staff was super accommodating with our three children 3,1 & 1 years old. Food was great and beer was awesome. The venue is beautiful. I wish I was local to Carp so i could head over more often. This is a great venue for Lunch i would bet that it would be even better for dinner and to tip a few. Drink. Beer. Here. read more

Stopped in with a group of 8 last night. We were happy to get a last minute reservation during the holidays. We walked in and it took some time to get greeted. When we finally were, the hostess just sort of pointed to a table in the distance, "You're there." We were put at one of their high tops in what have to be the most UNCOMFORTABLE stools ever created. We had planned to stay a bit but quickly altered that plan once we sat down. Luckily, a regular table opened up and we were able to move... to an only slightly more comfortable hard wooden bench. I would assume a brewery would want people to stay and drink awhile. The seating says otherwise. Food was decent but took a bit. Regular pub fare. Nothing too impressive. Drinks came fast though. Service was just alright. I can't really pinpoint the personality of this place. It's a pub with a hipster menu. Maybe we'll try it again but I'm not in any hurry. read more

The patio is amazing! Large plenty of space. The staff was extremely helpful and courteous. The food and drinks are A1. My wife and I was turned away from the place adjacent (Juke), they didn't want to be bothered with us. It worked out great. Have told all of our friends about Ridge Rock and looking forward to returning in the next couple of weeks. read more

Carp is a great spot with lots of potential for up and coming businesses, yet Ridge Rock has yet to meet expectations of customers that have been set by other locally established businesses! Ridgerock is an excellent space with potential for parties, events, and more. The interior is perfectly suited for Carp, with a historic "Vault" in the basement where you can host private events (Fun Fact: On July 29, 1947 bank robbers tunnelled from what is now Ridge Rock to the bank across the street and stole all the contents within the safety deposit boxes). The bar provides a great atmosphere with plenty of seating and a large patio in the summer. Parking can be difficult during busy periods as the lot is quite small across the street. I had the Amber and my friend tried the cider. Both we're good, but didn't blow us away like we thought they would as there was nothing that set it apart from anything we've had before. We ordered nachos and added the chicken to it. The portion was large and great for the price, but the chicken was large oval cut pieces (similar to the ones you buy in the frozen section of the grocery store) and was awkward to eat. Our service was alright, and overall our experience was average, but not something you'd expect from a local brewery. Although, Ridge Rock is still finding their footing and has potential to become a great local spot in the upcoming years with the right changes! read more

Great spot for some beers with friends. Friday night entertainment was awesome and our server was fun and attentive. We will go back :)

I'll write a couple of positives prior to negative. The brewery itself is a really neat atmosphere and the decor is cool! Love that there was a parking lot for customers only right across the street. Unfortunately, we found the service and the food to be terrible. Service was not friendly whatsoever. Completely wrong order of food was brought which is unacceptable since we were the servers only table. Overpriced for what you get. Wings do not come with a side, nor a dipping sauce or carrot sticks. Fries are definitely frozen. For having such a small menu, you would expect the food to be of better quality. Unfortunately, we will not be returning. read more

Loved the gin Paloma and wheat beer, service and ambiance, but the food leaves a lot to be desired. Fish tacos were bland and fishy and the poutine was McCain skinny fries, canned gravy sprinkled sparingly with curds. If you go, go for the drinks only. read more
