For at least the past few years they have a gift set called "The 12 Beers of Christmas." The beers have funny festive names and funky festive flavours. This past year, 2023, some of the beers in this set were "Cuddly as a Cactus" (Green Apple Sour), "Figgin' Christmas Cake" (Christmas Cake Honey Brown) and "Not My Gumdrop Buttons!" (Gingerbread English Ale). Even though I'm not a beer drinker, I do like trying these unusual flavours and having a tiny sip. My comment is usually "too hoppy" or "tastes too much like beer!" Haha. My husband likes the fun flavours but has noted that some of the notes are on the artificial side, and likes their "regular" beers better. They sell their beers online and offer free local delivery (The Ottawa Valley) or you can also pick up at their location in Cobden for free. They deliver to the rest of Ontario for a shipping fee too. Their beers are also available at the LCBO. The 12 Beers of Christmas set is regularly $68 but if you pre-order, you get the pre-order sale price of $54.40, which is what my brother did. Since we do enjoy craft beer, we decided to stop by on the way home from the farmer's market on this day. First of all, the brewery is in an updated red brick building on the corner of Carp Rd. and Donald B. Munro Dr. There is a seating area or two to your left as you enter, and a reception / cashier on the right, where they also sell souvenirs (cool!) It's nice and bright in here, and I can't wait until we can sit inside again, and share good times at one of these tables. On the day we were here, we were 2nd in line, but nobody was at the cash. We waited for not more than 5 minutes for the server to get back. She was friendly, informative, and efficient, and didn't take long to get to us. We picked up an 8-pack of a variety of beers: 2 Blonde, 2 Amber, and 2 Late Harvest, as well as 1 each of Lett Kveik and Spro Kveik - specialties of this brewery. I'm not a beer drinker, but I have to admit that the flavours were very creative and I could actually taste all the different flavours that each beer was supposed to have based on what was listed on the description card. I also loved the punny names like Cherry Cherry Christmas, Prosecc-ho-ho-ho, and Pie Hard (it's a Christmas movie), lol. My husband is more of a purist when it comes to beers, so some of the flavours were too frou-frou for him, haha, but if you like more unusual beer flavours I would recommend giving Whitewater Brewing a try. They obviously have the ability to make fun quirky flavours, which they also have year-round. Right now they have a Peanut Butter and Raspberry Shake Stout! They have regular flavours as well though, for the purists out there ;) They have 2 locations one in Cobden, ON and the other in Forrester Falls, ON. Both are breweries and brewpubs.
