By far the worst engine shop i have ever been to. I brought them a big block Mopar engine that only needed to be freshened up with new bearings gaskets and basically looked over. When I got the engine back it was missing parts and the workmanship was horrible, too make a long and horrifying story short I have not been able to drive my car since I have taken the engine to two other engine builders have spent 3 years and over 20,000 dollars trying to fix it. NEVER AGAIN will I bring an engine to this place. Brought them an engine to get completely rebuilt. When I dropped it off, I told them everything I wanted done to it and made it perfectly clear. New bearings, bored if needed, balanced, new pilot bearing because I was swapping the auto for a 4 speed, do the heads with new springs and valves etc...They said it would take 4 or 5 weeks to get to it because they were so busy. No big deal. (I now understand why after seeing everyone sitting around doing nothing every time I came to drop off parts). Once they started, it had to get bored with new pistons as I expected. Half way through the build, the person working on it changed to someone else who clearly had no idea what was going on and I got at minimum 2 calls per week asking me to explain what I wanted done with it. He also would explain every time how he needed certain parts, which I had to explain that I had already dropped off. In the end, it took 4 MONTHS before I got it back. Picked it up, and brought it home. A few weeks later, I discovered there was no pilot bearing. I went back and looked at the receipt and they never even charged me for it. Looking further, I noticed it didn't mention it was balanced (should just be common sense with new pistons, plus I specifically told them to). Called them to clarify and the guy on the phone said "oh no, we don't balance engines. You don't really need to anyway as long as your not racing it. I don't know where you heard that you need to have it balanced". So now I'm taking the engine back to another shop to get torn apart again, balanced, and put back together. (Edit: took it to another shop and they found at least 2 internal oil plugs that were missing. If I had started that engine, it would have had 0 oil pressure. 2 connecting rods were put in the wrong spots, freeze plugs were crooked, valves were all set at different heights, valve locks were wrong, oil pump gear was installed upside down and the oil galleys were packed full of ****. Guy said this thing would have no doubt self detonated) Do yourself a favor and stay the heck away from these guys. They'll try and screw you every place they can. read more
