Not a bad rate on that so I came back with 10 grams a couple months later (again, $3,300 spot price), and the guy offers me $690 for it. $690 for 10 grams of gold is over 35% below today's spot price. That's not just a lowball offer; it borders on predatory, especially from a professional jeweler who should know better. And their response: "We regret that our offer did not align with your expectations. Our pricing is based on market and what we are willing to buy items for, and if you opt not to sell the item to us, you are free to sell it independently to any other interested party." For a business that advertises themselves as giving the best prices for gold, that seems dishonest. If I'd have known I was going to get lowballed, I wouldn't have wasted my time. Just be honest and say, "We're going to give you 35% below today's spot price." How you conduct business is important. How you treat people is important. This was a known issue from the date of receiving my ring and for my 25th anniversary I requested they clean up the fire scaling. When I left my ring the only known issue was the fire scaling, after THEY removed all the diamonds they reported that my center stone-a very rare Colorado Diamond was chipped/scratched and that this was caused by other diamonds that shifted in the course of wearing my ring as the platinum was a soft medal. This center stone was NOT chipped/scratched when I left the ring at Rocky Mountain Goldworks and I talked with the sales rep Nikoo and the owner Tom and both refused to acknowledge any ownership that when removing the stones that they damaged the very rare Colorado Diamond. This very rare Colorado Diamond cannot be replaced as these are no longer being mined in Northern Colorado. Be wary when bringing heirloom pieces to this shop. The fire scaling on my ring was not even part of the center setting which housed the Colorado Diamond so I also question whether it even needed to be removed. I'm very happy with the design/look of ring but tremendously disappointed with the outcome of the damage to my Colorado Diamond.

After many months, many emails, many calls, and LOTS of waiting (over 6 months) they had not even begun to repair the watch. Not to mention this watch came with a factory defect (a piece of debris inside the case), it also absorbed sweat inside the case and started rusting inside. Just after a few weeks use. Finally the watch was mailed back to me BUT Vortic sent the watch to the wrong address and then when I emailed them stating that it was mailed to my old home. NO REPLY. This is not a real company. They make a watch a day and that is the extent of this company. Do not expect any level of customer service after you buy a watch from them. Many times they didn't even answer the phone.

Diagnosed problem on Mar 6, but did not complete the repair at that time for some unknown reason. Invoiced me for $850 with a credit of $170...so, $680! I have not paid that because nobody will answer an email or phone. I'll pay for the repair once I know it's been completed and ready for shipment not before. Then I'll move to sell it for a loss just to be done with it.
