Great customer service and offers affordable repairs on necklaces. There's never pressure to purchase anything and staff is always polite.

Not a bad rate on that so I came back with 10 grams a couple months later (again, $3,300 spot price), and the guy offers me $690 for it. $690 for 10 grams of gold is over 35% below today's spot price. That's not just a lowball offer; it borders on predatory, especially from a professional jeweler who should know better. And their response: "We regret that our offer did not align with your expectations. Our pricing is based on market and what we are willing to buy items for, and if you opt not to sell the item to us, you are free to sell it independently to any other interested party." For a business that advertises themselves as giving the best prices for gold, that seems dishonest. If I'd have known I was going to get lowballed, I wouldn't have wasted my time. Just be honest and say, "We're going to give you 35% below today's spot price." How you conduct business is important. How you treat people is important. Being crooks -- in time this business is going to pay for that. That is, if it hasn't already.

Five-Star Review for Goldworks…read more Twenty-seven years ago, my engagement ring had a CZ while my husband paid off the real diamond. Choosing layaway instead of debt was our first financial decision together. When the diamond was finally paid off and set, the jeweler moved the CZ into a simple white-gold pendant I wore every day for more than 20 years -- a small but meaningful reminder of our commitment to start our marriage debt-free. After decades of wear, the clasp broke, and I lost the necklace before I could repair it. I searched for months before accepting it was gone. We came to Goldworks hoping to recreate it, and they exceeded every expectation. They listened with genuine care and rebuilt the necklace beautifully -- honoring the original design, but this time with a real diamond. It matches my wedding set perfectly and feels like a piece of our history restored. Thank you, Goldworks, for your kindness, craftsmanship, and respect. We are truly grateful.

This was a known issue from the date of receiving my ring and for my 25th anniversary I requested they clean up the fire scaling. When I left my ring the only known issue was the fire scaling, after THEY removed all the diamonds they reported that my center stone-a very rare Colorado Diamond was chipped/scratched and that this was caused by other diamonds that shifted in the course of wearing my ring as the platinum was a soft medal. This center stone was NOT chipped/scratched when I left the ring at Rocky Mountain Goldworks and I talked with the sales rep Nikoo and the owner Tom and both refused to acknowledge any ownership that when removing the stones that they damaged the very rare Colorado Diamond. This very rare Colorado Diamond cannot be replaced as these are no longer being mined in Northern Colorado. Be wary when bringing heirloom pieces to this shop. The fire scaling on my ring was not even part of the center setting which housed the Colorado Diamond so I also question whether it even needed to be removed. I'm very happy with the design/look of ring but tremendously disappointed with the outcome of the damage to my Colorado Diamond.

After not hearing back from them regarding my pocket watch donations, and service on my Sterling Silver cased Pocket watch, I wrote a respectful but frank review here on YELP. The next day RT, the CEO of VORTIC responded immediately via phone to my concerns, and provided a UPS tracking number to retrieve my pocket watch, which was being held at my local UPS store. Apparently, my email communications had been going to their SPAM email, and thus, my sincere communications went un-deliberately unanswered. THEREFORE, please do not hesitate to contact RT and VORTIC WATCHES if you are seriously interested in purchasing one of their unique and extremely valuable heirloom watches. Rest assured VORTIC will treat you as a valuable customer, as they have me. Respectful & Most Appreciative Regards to RT Custer and their staff at VORTIC WATCHES. Dave Franklin

Vortic said they could fix it for 500$. I paid the 500$ IN ADVANCE, and mailed the watch. After many months, many emails, many calls, and LOTS of waiting (over 6 months) they had not even begun to repair the watch. Not to mention this watch came with a factory defect (a piece of debris inside the case), it also absorbed sweat inside the case and started rusting inside. Just after a few weeks use. Finally the watch was mailed back to me BUT Vortic sent the watch to the wrong address and then when I emailed them stating that it was mailed to my old home. NO REPLY. This is not a real company. They make a watch a day and that is the extent of this company. Do not expect any level of customer service after you buy a watch from them. Many times they didn't even answer the phone.
