Haven't heard much about this place, but I decided to give it a shot. Ordered the breakfast wrap, and the Smoked Beef and eggs scramble I'll start with the wrap. Excellent presentation, and amazing flavour. The eggs were amazing, and the wrap had a crunch to it, usually I find they're either dry, or too soft. On to the smoked beef Scramble. The potatoes weren't anything amazing, I thought it would be mixed together, but everything was separate; no biggie. The eggs and sauce again were very good! But the beef had a weird texture and taste to it. Almost felt like rubber. Was definitely not tender and juicy, but more rubbery and flavour lacking. Everything else was very good! This is not the official high quality "Ric's Lounge and Grill". The food was uncooked, the salad was pure oil and found a hair in it. When ordered a cocktail one had way too much alcohol and the other none. We left hungry and possibly Ill after. Better off ordering delivery or going to somewhere else. read more

I wanted to like it here, I really did. I've been to other Ric's and had fantastic experiences with both the food, decor and service but this one just didn't live up to the expectations. I understand that this one is in Nisku and that the atmosphere and clientele is completely different out there, especially considering that this one is attached to a hotel and not free-standing. With that being said, to not even have real restaurant furniture so that we all had to sit at a banquet table the ambience was sorely lacking. The tablecloth was dirty and the table wasn't set at all, they sat us down and then dropped some rollups and glasses. The menu looked good and the service was fine (our server was very new, she was very polite and eager, though the way what I'm assuming was her boss called all of us "hun" really kind of got on my nerves... this isn't a truck stop restaurant, this is a restaurant that has $35.00 entrees on the menu). I had a glass of wine that I would have again and my salad was good (spinach salad) though I could tell it was Kraft salad dressing which was a letdown (I go out to restaurants to eat things I don't have in my fridge). There was 5 of us in our group and everyone but my grandma and I had fries with their entree. I tried a few and they were really good, seasoned beautifully. My dad's burger was good, though it was supposed to be bison and he said he'd bet a lot of money that it was actually just a beef burger. The other entrees were good, but nothing worth talking about at all. And when we got the bill there was a mistake on it, though they were very quick to rectify it. Again, I get it. Nisku is a bit of a weird place for a fine casual restaurant. With that being said, the Leduc/Nisku area is really lacking for decent places to eat and this place could be really busy if they worked on making it a place people wanted to be. Consistent service and furniture that make the space feel like a real restaurant would go a long way. read more

My wife received gift certificates through work for Ric's grill several months ago, not long after all their Edmonton locations shut down, however one remained open in Nisku - operating as Ric's lounge and Grill and using the same logo. The server said they aren't honouring the gift certificates any longer and was about to take them. My wife had to ask for them back. A little disappointed that they would not accept them. read more

I've been here for lunch many times. The spinach and beet salad (and the salads in general) are very good. Very fresh with a great taste. I've also had the Hunter's pizza which is very good as well. A nice combination of meats and baby tomatoes. It could be a bit more crisp but has a very good taste. If you are in a hurry though, stay away. The service is sloooow. But overall, my clients and I have found the food to be quite good. read more

The guy that kept coming out from the back (I'm guessing the cook) was very accommodating and polite, however our sever was not. My omelette was $15.99 and I would have had better at a truck stop for $6.99. Won't come here again. read more

Caesar salad-mediocre... Some chunks of Romain were starting to wilt but it was still borderline edible... Added chicken and it was some of the cheapest boneless skinless breast that you can get evenif you're familiar with that chicken breast that has the consistency and flakiness of fish... Great restaurant in the four points hotel in Edmonton Canada, andeep is an amazing manager very friendly and personable food and drinks are 5 stars I got the kale salad with chicken on the side it was wicked good! Definitely a go to lounge/bar/restaurant especially because there's really nothing else around the area. I highly recommend eating here! read more

I've been here three times in the last three years while staying at the four points. 2016: The food was excellent. The bar tender was excellent and the beers were local and delicious. The breakfast was fresh and fantastic. 2017: The management changed and the food changed the worst. I had the pizza and it was doughy and soggy. Worst of all, the bar tender was gone. 2018: The food was okay. They have a good beer selection and the place was very clean. I chose the spinach salad and the clam chowder. While the chowder was thick and creamy, I didn't taste any crab. The salad was fresh and tasty. For breakfast, I ordered the Canadian breakfast which was you basic eggs and bacon and it was fine. *Note that the Four Points breakfast voucher is worth $10 per person with a max of two people. read more

I know it isn't fair just to post bad reviews, but sometimes it just needs to be said. The menu didn't match the items served, the sweet chili garlic tenders weren't sweet or tender, the steak was badly butchered and tough beyond belief, and for $50+ tip I felt ripped off. Nothing special here. I ordered the pizza and at best it's was above frozen pies from the store . Doughy and flavorless crust , sauce add seasoning for goodness sake! Beer was good but a cold glass would be nice. Place was clean but staff is not organized at , I had to ask for napkins and then a pen to sign my CC Bill. This place thinks way to much of itself! Staff are obnoxious and lack any real service skills, they sure look nice and talk a lot but offer no real substance to the food. The atmosphere is ultra modern (see cold and lifeless), the seating is hard and not nice. The menu is pretentious and overpriced, (better to sucker the travelers from the airport or the rich oil execs), the food is bland, lifeless and the portions are small. Fusion fails abound here. Go to a Moxie's or Earls, the food is better and the prices are the same. read more

The management here trimmed staff to a minimum and the service suffers even with staffs best efforts. 10 tables waiting in one waiter to pay bills so they can leave is unbelievable. The longest breakfast service I have seen in a hotel (Four Points). If they added staff this would be one of the best places in this area. read more

If this place had moderate prices I would give it a mid-way rating, however it is yet another one of these cookie cutter "high end" spots with a lot of exciting adjectives on the menu and even fancier prices with what is essentially diner food. I happened upon the place because I was staying at Four Points (quite a decent hotel) and ordered up room service (which comes from Ric's). Be warned hotel guests: They hit you with both a "room service" charge as well as a "service" fee hidden down with the tax, when I inquired about this they confirmed that one was for "leaving the restaurant" and the other "like any other fee you'd pay to a delivery place." I would look past this perhaps if the food were more exciting. In total I had three meals (I was cramming for exams so in my room solid for a day) Burger: Fairly good actually, the first and best thing I had there. Nothing exceptional (as the price would suggest) but no complaints, again if it were only $12 I'd give it a few stars. Steak and eggs: Despite the poetry they mustered up for the description, flavorless, tough steak. I finally went down for a meal after realizing I was paying about $8 per delivery and had an omlette. Rip off! $72 for a 12 ounce rib eye steak a glass of Orange Juice, side salad and extra butter. They charged me $8.00 for extra butter! $10 for salad. I have eaten here many times and each time there is something wrong. Either my order is wrong, improperly cooked etc. i stay in the Hotel at least a few days a month. I guess its time to start ordering in or driving to other places. If you eat here make sure you bring lots of $! read more

A nice place for a date, a casual meal, or just dessert. Friendly staff and good food. This was my first visit, and I was simply blown away by Great customer service. Besides the nicely relaxed ambiance (there are tables, booths, and lounging couches), the staff are all friendly. The food during my visit was a mixed bag from great to awesome. Worst service I have experienced, as soon as I walked in I waited to be seated then had to walk over to the bar were he was and actually ask if I should seat myself.. server ignored me and is acting like he is doing me such a big favor taking my order. With prices like they have at this establishment I would expect a lot better service. It would also help if the quality of food was better. read more

Pretty bad for the price. Pretends to be a high end restaurant, but it is not. Ordered the ahi tuna. It was not fresh at all and is now churning in my stomach. The "sommeliers choice" Zinfandel was an undrinkable blush that tasted like it came out of a jug. You may have better luck if you stick to basic bar food and beer here. read more
