During our visit back in June 2026, he was particularly excited because he wanted to pick out the right leather to handcraft a custom wallet for his dad for Father's Day. When we first walked through the doors, we were warmly welcomed by the staff on duty, and they did seem genuinely impressed by the gorgeous, handmade green leather bookbag my friend brought in to show them from his recent personal projects. He really appreciated that initial positive reinforcement, and it set a great tone for our visit, even though the rest of the customer service experience unfortunately left a great deal to be desired and quickly went downhill. We ended up waiting over an entire hour just to get basic assistance finding specific items on the floor, and the online sales we had planned to take advantage of were unexpectedly deemed completely unavailable for in-person purchases without any clear explanation. The lady at the front desk was helping us at first, but once it became clear that the desired items were not in the store and needed to be ordered, she abruptly left and returned to her computer. Although a second coworker attempted to step in and assist, his demeanor quickly shifted as he became visibly annoyed, short, and condescending with my friend. To make the interaction even more uncomfortable and unprofessional, the employee was wearing leather fetish cuffs as accessories while helping customers on the sales floor. At one point, he even raised his voice to snap, "I already told you. This is the one you need to use." The environment became so palpably uncomfortable and tense for everyone in the room that the female associate clearly felt the need to intervene, making an excuse about checking something on the computer to pull her coworker away while muttering under her breath, "I wanted to save you from that." In total, we were stuck in the shop for a good three hours just trying to get basic guidance and materials for his project. To make matters worse, the surrounding area felt incredibly sketchy; the nearby smoke shop had riff-raff hanging out in the parking lot actively trying to score drugs in broad daylight right in front of the shop. Seeing that kind of activity happening right out in the open with families around made the entire visit feel completely unsafe from start to finish. ------------------------------------------------------------------------ Note to management: Welcoming crafters requires patience, professionalism, and basic situational awareness. Seeing an employee lose their temper with a neurodivergent customer--while wearing fetish gear on the sales floor--is unacceptable. Management urgently needs to retrain staff on de-escalation, enforce appropriate dress standards, and address customer safety.

We figured that would be the best way to deal with it...instead of the back and forth with the online exchange process. Honestly, I thought that all of the mall stores had been closed and especially following the remodel at Galleria knew that it wasn't where it had been previously. So we checked the location kiosk upon our arrival at the mall and headed to it's location. When we walked in...the place looked a bit desolate...but both of the employees were super friendly...and given their circumstances...of getting ready to permanently close up shop...they were not supposed to accept online returns any longer. But, lucky for us...they went ahead and did it! We all were searching the racks for the correct wallet...unfortunately they didn't have it...but we did find one that was very close, so my husband went ahead and selected that one. It was no hassle and we left there happy with the service and the outcome! This location will be permanently closed on 2/2/16...and then Wilsons leather stores will only be available at their outlet locations and online.

These bridles are beautiful, but sturdy enough to stand up to many miles with my mustangs.
