Ok I was all excited to try this place considering my roommate has been eating here all week. So today I decided to try it. I was disappointed that they don't serve Pepsi but I can settle for a Sprite. So I get my food & go home, I'm about to pour some of t red salsa onto my 3rd Taco when I notice a hair in t salsa container. I pull it out & now my first & probably my only experience here is now ruined. Talk about Yuk & Ewww. Don't believe me, I'm attaching a photo. Don't they use hairnets when preparing food or is that just too much to ask.

My go to take out when I don't feel like cooking a home made meal. I had to leave my review because this wet burrito is to die for lol yes I'm exaggerating because everything about this wet burrito is sooo good. I got Carne Asada and it's seasoned so good makes it go well with the sauce for this wet burrito. Love all the food they make here

Two tacitos with chicken and rice and beans. One huge wet burrito with some good salsa!

Review for the resort and the restaurant incoming!…read more Stayed with the family for a night on our way to Southern California as we were in need of respite after crushing Bay Area traffic. The room was very clean, and solidly appointed for the price (under $200 with AAA discount). In the morning we took a swim in their gorgeous swimming pool. It was an early morning because he had to get back on the road. But, if I were to linger it would be right next to that pool or that awesome horse shoe bar across the lot at the restaurant. Breakfast was awesome. I had the country fried steak and eggs. It was a very tender piece of tenderized steak and the gravy was lights out $29.95. Kids had the "little cowpoke" which was a pancake, bacon slice and an egg for $8.95. The pancake was tasty and the bacon was a large cut (I had to get my Dad tax in). Only downside was the avocado toast (but who would order that at a roadside cow restaurant?) My wife would! HA! It was $18.95 and she felt like she was being punished as it was just a single slice of bread with avocado and two poached eggs. She was really hoping for a larger portion for the price. Overall, it was a really solid 5/5 experience. We left something in the room accidentally and the front desk called us before we even noticed. They said they'd take care of it and we will cruise by on the way home to grab it. Really awesome customer service. For a resort in the middle of nowhere I get no real complaints. I mean it smells like poop outside but there's like a million head of cattle down the road so that makes sense. Also, no foul smells in the hotel or restaurant. They do a good job keeping it out.

Restroom is very clean, customer service is outstanding, menu is small, but they have plenty to choose from. I ordered pretty basic, vegetables and potatoes are some of the best I've ever had. Whiskey sour as always because it's my favorite drink was really good. Yes, she told us it would be a minute. This almost felt....intentional? I'd hate to think that it was & racism came into play, with us being a mixed couple, but I honestly cannot think of anything else. The room went from packed to empty with more people coming in from outside & we still weren't seated. When we finally did get seated, our server, Isaiah was amazing. He answered all our questions & had great recommendations. As I've already said, this was one of the best steaks I've ever eaten. Every bite of the filet mignon was delicious & I got it with the scalloped potatoes to accompany. My boyfriend got the prime rib & loaded potato. He loved it. At the end they brought me out a piece of chocolate mousse cake which was amazing. I made my boyfriend sing happy birthday to me. This place is so completely adorable. I was obsessed with the rounded windows in the area behind my boyfriend & the brick. So. Cute. I would definitely go back here, just maybe not be as excited to do so.

The bakery is part of the country store, which sells such random housewares and souvenir-type stuff. They have a chocolate truffle case on one side and the other side, the pastries and desserts. The pastries looked delicious and I got a few to try. They also have bags of day-old cookies for a good price. Eclair 4/5* I'm not a huge fan of eclairs with the soft fudge on top instead of the hardened chocolate. Taste wise though, it was a good eclair. The cream isn't overly sweet and the eclair itself was a light dough. Napoleon 5/5* If there's something Harris bakery does right, it's flaky pastries. Surprisingly, this Napoleon stayed crispy the entire drive home and survive even in the refrigerator the next day. Many others I've had usually get soggy, but these layers of puff pastry stayed crisp to the end of every last bite. The cream was fluffy and not too sweet, and paired perfectly with the ripe strawberries. Banana Cream Pie 3/5* I love anything banana and just had to get it when my eyes landed on the perfect swirl of whip cream covered in chunks of buttery crumbles, atop a neat little mini pie. However, the pie itself was too mushy. The crust was soggy, with the smoothness of the banana cream, soft banana slices, and rich whip cream, everything combined was too much mush. It was also too sweet. I did enjoy the crumble on top though. That was the only saving texture. Strawberry Cream Horn 5/5* Wow these were so unexpectedly delicious! The horn is super flaky and delicate, filled from end to end with a light strawberry cream. On top, bits of dehydrated strawberries were not only beautiful but added a nice tartness and texture, contrasting with the silky cream. This was a great upgrade on your classic cream horn. Chocolate Chip Cookies with Walnuts 3/5* Nothing special. They tasted better the longer they sat out because they were crisper. I prefer my cookies to have sea salt for that good balance of salty and sweet, but these cookies were just one noted. Next time, I have my eyes set on this towering cake they had on the counter and of course, take home some of those yummy cream horns.

It feels like our home away from home as we go back and forth from Northern California and to visit our family in Orange County. We always LOVED seeing the store and its unique gifts that filled the entire place. For some time, there looks to be maybe a quarter of what they used to have. So sad... I used to come and find a lot of my Christmas gifts for people during the holidays. This past Christmas, I went in and the place looked desolate. I was confused and wondered if I missed it all? I don't know if Harris Ranch is not doing well, but it really looks like they're struggling if you look at the empty feel of the store. We just left the shop now on our way back down to Southern California and once again shocked and highly disappointment. It was bad.. I really hope that whatever happening there gets better so that the store can return to the gorgeous shop that it once was.

Today since it was packed I decided to get a table at the Ranch Kitchen. Its all the same, menus, servers. So previously having done the prime rib and filet mignon, I decided to go a different route, the Jack and John's favorite sandwich. I thought Id be getting thin sliced NY steak.....wasn't expecting a whole 10oz grilled steak. So essentially this is like the upgraded version of Jimmy John's Roast Beef Sandwich and for 40.00 / sandwich, you're getting your dollars worth in protein. I also did their steak fingers appetizer, drenched in some kind of red wine reduced, caramelized garlic herbs gravy with hints of Worcestershire sauce. Sauce was a little acidic, sour, and I would much prefer if it was like a Lee Kum Kee Branded Black Pepper sauce with oyster sauce base. But regardless, paired with foccacia sour dough, it was more than an Appetizer, and Id say a stand alone meal. Recommendations for those that don't want a big lunch: just order the appetizer steak fingers, and a clam chowder. You'll equally be full.

Our dog is a certified service animal and because of that they were able to give us a table. We waited like 10 min and we were greeted pretty quick. I would love that they apply same structure of service for people who dine with toddlers and children's that do not behave. They throw tantrums and is pretty upsetting and disrupt the environment of the guest surrounding that table. I use to work in a small cafe back in the day so working in food service can be trying sometimes. I noticed they have added some menu items and Friday/Saturday dining options as well. Today they had a Monday feature of Tri-Tip Sandwich with either fries or fresh fruit. A free drink was included and I chose lemonade with cucumber and fresh mint. OMG that was delicious. They also had several flavors, strawberry-Hibiscus, strawberry, raspberry, and the cucumber mint lemonade. I chose to dine in and I received my food hot. The fries were perfect. Crispy and not greasy. I chose a hot chipotle ranch & ketchup. Yah, being a vegetarian is hard. I wasn't vegetarian today. I tore up that sandwich and left no crumbs ok maybe the butt end of the roll but that's for Buddha. While waiting I saw the advertisement for Friday night dinners & Saturday Brunch with Mimosas & Micheladas. It's just two staff so go easy on them. They off a 3% discount if you pay in cash. They also accept tap pay. Cool tunes too. Until next time. . .SYOYelp
