Whole roast chicken plus all the fixings.
Celene D.

The best smooth beans ever! Been coming to this place since I was a child, and now it's my favorite taco dinner for the nights that I'm not feeling up to the task of cooking. I get the whole chicken dinner for 2 ppl and it feeds us for dinner, each of our lunches the next day, and often dinner again. I usually get extra sides of rice and beans, just to stretch the leftovers even longer. The best part is I get all that for $31. I imagine it would satisfy a family of 4.

Just made my first and last visit to Rico Pollo. The good. Clean and sparkling during the opening hours. Shredded chicken was tasty. Lots of spices. The Average. Counter staff was somewhat distant. The ugly. "No flautas today." They are the cheapest item on the menu at $3 and you don't have any? Microwaved nachos with cheese wiz. Best of all, they do the microwaving right in front of you at the counter. Expensive. Nachos de Pollo + drink was $9. I can eat a Chipotle for that and get better food. (A 1/2 chicken is $14. Mama Sanninos gives you a 1/2 chicken AND a side of spaghetti for less.) Temperature was freezing in the second (north side) dining area. No Wi-Fi. Very low-end paper napkins.

Tasty and quick, nothing too fancy or exceptional about this place but a great option for some quick wings.

Definitely tasty food. I'd like to see more menu options, like a chicken bowl, guacamole, etc.

This is the perfect family meal. They have been around for as long as I can remember and the chicken is phenomenal.

Delicious! I got the 1/4 chicken dark meat and it was excellent. The sides and tortillas were also very good. I highly recommend it!

Amazing Chicken. We love this place. Nicer than the other locations in town. I bring my family and get a ton of food for a reasonable price.

Ordered wings for the Superbowl, they were burnt . Very disappointed. Seems like since the manager left the food has went down hill.

Looking at taco places, I went with something close by to our location and found this hidden gem. Nestled away on a small street corner of Clay Street and 32nd Ave. parking can be scarce, but I'm sure with the right time and a little bit of walking you will find and manage your way here. Outside the restaurant, they have a small seating area which now is winter too cold to enjoy, but I'm sure in the spring and summer and fall time is super enjoyable. The inside, though a little bit tiny and no cozier than going to your mom's house and expecting a family Filled living room/Kitchen. We went down and greeted by three smiling faces. We already looked at the photos online and knew we want tacos so opted with the chicken tacos and Carne Asada taco plates. The tacos place option came with 5 tacos with up to 2 choices of meats the ratio would be 2:3 .. freshly mashed guacamole made in front of you or freshly sliced avocado.. In the pictures I listed you will find each chicken and Carne Asada options. Both slow pictures missing two tacos because we devoured them as soon as we got into the truck. Their street tacos are heavenly! Chicken option was all chicken breast super juicy grilled to perfection five tacos on a plate another two tacos missing because my husband and I devoured it. This plate came we asked it with the guacamole option instead of fresh avocado. The carne asada was just FULL of flavor and the fresh avocado slices with green tomatillo salsa SLAPPED.. the tortillas are super soft and tears from how fresh the flour tortillas were!! Definitely a place to sit and eat there to enjoy the hot food. I'm originally from SoCal and a heavily populated Latinos with amazing tacos and food.. Taqueria La Familia passed the bar high!! We can't wait to come back and try other options and will update pictures and review then!

I had the cadillac margarita and my SO had the paloma, both were very tasty. You could tell the marg was made with fresh ingredients and not just a bottled mixer. 5 stars for drinks! As for food, you are greeted with the standard basket of chips and salsa, which were excellent. The salsa was full of flavor with just right amount of heat. We finished it off in no time and our server graciously brought out another basket. For entrees, we decided to split an order of the quesobirria tacos and an order of the enchiladas suisas. Both dishes were excellent, but the quesobirria was phenomenal! I would absolutely get an order of these for myself next time. The enchiladas were also really good and were smothered in a delicious verde sauce and stuffed with carnitas, which apparently are the house specialty. Overall, we really enjoyed our visit and will definitely be coming back! I for one am so stoked to have an authentic Mexican restaurant in the area and can't wait to explore more of the menu!

If I had someone to be my designated driver I would have had the 2 for 1 margaritas which is a Monday special. The restaurant interior was bright and funky! There are tables and booths available. Both our drinks and food were served in a timely manner. I ordered the Horchata and it was delicious! I ordered the chicken fajitas for lunch and the portion was huge! I was definitely able to take some home. The food tasted so fresh. In addition to the 2 for margaritas on Monday, I am so impressed by the number of daily specials this restaurant has. Other specials include $3 taco Tuesdays, 2 for 1 Mezcalitos on Wednesdays and 2 for 1 cocktails on Thursdays for the ladies. There is also a Happy Hour which includes discount margaritas and $3 tacos. There is plenty of free parking.

I was in Longmont for the home and garden show and I was hungry so this was my opportunity to give Rosa's Cantina a try. They were very busy but I was greeted and seated promptly. The place is nice and they have a lot of seating and a patio but too cold that day for outdoor dining. I ordered the Burrito Tijuana which looked to be a good choice based on the menu description. The burrito was very good with a generous portion of steak. The chili smothering the buritto was flavorful but not very spicy. I wish they provided a little more pico salsa on the side, there was probably a teaspoon of pico. I enjoyed the buritto, it was sizeable, flavorful but not spicy enough for my taste buds. The server was good, she was attentive and pleasant. The place was clean, prices were reasonable, service was good as well as the food. Would I go back ? I might go back if the planets align but I wouldn't make a special trip. My only real letdowns were the shortage of pico and they don't offer free chips and salsa. I've come to expect and appreciate Mexican restaurants who still offer free chips and salsa.

As we were looking at the menu, I didn't notice any GF indicators by any of the menu items, nor did the menu itself mention gluten free items. I was hoping our friends would be able to enjoy a decent selection of their delicious food that I had come to love. What a surprise - we learned that EVERYTHING on the menu is gluten free. Are you kidding me? Even the churros? Yes, even the churros. Chips and salsa? No problem. Our friends were so surprised and so very impressed. We ordered the pork shank (scrumptious), chicken enchiladas with jalapeño cream sauce (yes, please) and roasted chicken (tender and well seasoned). And yes, we shared an order of churros. Kiddos in a candy store - that's the vibe our table had. Friends literally impressed with every bite and with zero worries about having limited options. I love that Teocalli Cocina is 100% gluten-free. Thank you! That said, they really do need to offer some vegan options. A mushroom taco, cauliflower taco, or something with grilled veggies and beans would be tasty. It can be done, other places do it! (Note: many gluten free people are dairy free too.) My husband ordered the cheese enchiladas, but was given chicken instead, and we were disappointed to learn that the rice and pinto beans contain meat. This is unnecessary. I do hope they incorporate more vegetarian and vegan options into the menu in the future.
