    65. Vegetables Kee Mao Drunken Noodle
    Daniel T.

TLDR: standard Thai food - one of the few in the area Ordered the drunken noodles without mushrooms at a mild level of spice. The dish came piping hot in a generous portion, and had a good balance between noodles and vegetables / protein. Every ingredient was well seasoned but slightly oily though that's to be expected in a stir fried dish. Overall the dish was pretty good but nothing too special. I would order it again. About the restaurant: the place is nicely decorated. I went on a Saturday around standard lunch time, but the place was relatively empty, which was surprising for the level of food. A great spot if you enjoy a quiet meal

Ricky's Thai has great prices for tasty, large portions. Nice ambiance and accommodating, polite service. The starter salad was free and was a little pile of iceberg lettuce with peanut sauce. It's pretty skimpy but it's free so can't really complain, and the peanut sauce is some of the best I've ever had. I shared the pad thai with my sister. I've tried a lot of pad thai and this one is pretty solid, tasting fresh with good flavor and not oily/soggy like some restaurants serve it. I'm removing a star because there was a $3 charge for an extra plate for the pad thai-- the food wasn't split up or anything, it just came as usual on one plate but there was an extra charge to share it? I would understand if they divided up the portion with additional toppings, but they basically just charged us to use an extra plate which I think is pretty lame and cash grabby.

Quick quaint place to stop by for some Thai food in Skillman. We stopped in on a Friday night and were promptly seated without a reservation. I had the chicken pad thai which was average. I thought it could have used a bit more sauce/flavor and the 3 star spicy was not spicy. My friend had the Thai Basil noodles and thought it was just ok as well.

Ricky's does it right! His Skillman, NJ, Thai restaurant is the second of two kitchens in his growing stable of excellent Southeast Asian houses. It is a beautiful dining room with hushed dark wood tones, Buddhas looking serenely down from the walls and box framed lighting hanging from the high ceiling. White linen and heavy silverplate flatware on the tables finishes the impression that something special can happen here. I was there for lunch on Saturday afternoon, but was advised upon arrival that the lunch menu was not being offered on weekends anymore. Too bad, but not a cause for major disappointment. Just adjust my ordering to keep the overall bill where I wanted it to be. I have been on a spicy noodle rage lately, and the Pad Kee Mao was calling my name. Skipped the soup and appetizer I would have requested otherwise, and simply added Jasmine Tea as an accompaniment. Spice level: a midrange 3 was good enough for me this day. My plate arrived a few minutes after on a white square ceramic. It looked fantastic, with shiny broad noodles, thin sliced chicken, a handful of medium shrimp, plenty of green pepper, diaphenous sweet onion and fresh mushroom. The hot chili paste was visible throughout, and soon proved to be all the heat required. It was delicious, with nicely chewy pasta and plenty of texture and zest from the peppers, chicken and shrimp with the shrooms absorbing the sauce. The capsesin quotient was on target. This dish was certainly in the running for best of breed among the dozen or so Drunken Noodle candidates sampled in the last several months. Lucky for me there is another Ricky's Thai nearby in Hillsborough that deserves a stop on the hot & spicy broad noodle tour.

New to Princeton & this is one of the best Thai food places I've been to. You get a good amount of food for the price and everything was so delicious. I would highly recommend coming here!

This leveled up my expectations on scallion pancakes omg they were so thin and crispy delicious!!! Definitely great service Im guessing it's the owner she had your order ready to go I work in pompton plains so I'll order right before I leave work and by the time I get to Parsippany the order is ready! I definitely want to go and dine in but I'm always in the Parsippany area after work But take out is a good enough for me. From just walking in the restaurant is so clean and organized. They have a video explaining the process of hand pulled noodles which is cool! I'm a nerd like that I love educational videos. Also you see where the chef is making everything too like a window to see when he makes the hand pulled noodles. Definitely recommend this place ! Ample parking and very easy to get too. If you want a nice comforting bowl of soup with hand pulled fresh noodles this is your place!!! Enjoy!!!! Note I put 2 pictures of my 1st order with them Stir fried noodles and braised beef hand pulled noodles soup yummy

My food was waiting for me, which I was happy about. I ordered scallion pancakes as an appetizer and sauteed noodles with chicken and vegetables as my entree. The food tasted great; however, for takeout packaging, my sauce for the pancakes was not secure, so it spilled in my bag. Other than that, the noodles tasted really good (just needed a sprinkle of salt/soy sauce), and I enjoyed my meal. I will order from there again.

The delicate…read morewontons were packed with flavorful filling and coated in a rich, aromatic chili oil that delivered the perfect balance of heat, spice, and savory depth. The sauce had just enough numbing warmth without overpowering the dish, and every bite was incredibly satisfying. The texture combination of silky wrappers and bold sauce made it an unforgettable starter. Beyond the appetizer, the restaurant offered a warm atmosphere and attentive service that made the dining experience even better. The presentation was thoughtful, portions were generous, and the flavors tasted authentic and carefully prepared. If you enjoy dishes with a little spice and a lot of flavor, the wontons in chili oil are absolutely worth ordering. I would definitely come back just for them.

The standout for me was the Jiang Bei Hot Sauce Live Whole Fish, which was packed with flavor and absolutely worth ordering. You can split this dish amongst a whole family since the portions are huge! The General Tso's Chicken is always a classic, and I love the tender chicken drenched in tangy sauce. This is where things got a little tricky. We had a reservation but ended up waiting about 40 minutes past our reservation time to actually be seated. On a busy weekend, I understand restaurants can get slammed, but waiting 40 minutes after having a reservation is frustrating. It seems like their weekend reservation situation can get a little chaotic, so just be prepared to practice your patience. Once we were seated, the staff was fine and the service was efficient. Overall, I'll return for the food or get takeout but just be prepared to wait a bit.

Guess what she took the leftover Pad Thai home , Yes! ^_^ I also suggested 2 appetizers, Tofu Satay and House Special Puffs. They Loved both. Tofu satay has great flavor and texture (crispy fried giant tofu + crunchy crushed peanuts + bean sprouts). Puff pastry has crabmeat inside and is served with a lobster curry We also got Penang curry with squid, the squid was tender and delicious. Loved the new try, Pad Preaw Wan chicken. It's sautéed with pineapples, mushrooms, napa...all the goodies in sweat and sour sauce! I will order this for my husband next time; he'd love it! They have 2 dining areas, the front is usually for bigger parties and the back is cozy and warm, smart design. Their service is always friendly and attentive even when they're busy. Love them!
