My car broke down on the I5 yesterday and I was stuck in the center divide in triple digits heat…read more Initially I got into contact with a different roadside assistance company (not towing) who said they could come to the car to try and resolve the mechanical issue. That ended up being a bust and costing money and 5 hours of my time for nothing. Luckily I booked a tow truck through our cc benefits to save on the cost. The dispatcher confirmed that this company and provided an ETA of about 60-90mins. They did include a disclaimer that drivers are not obligated to allow passengers and it's at their discretion. This mattered to me since I was nearly 100 miles from home and had been stranded for hours in 106 degree weather. I then contacted the driver directly and he confirmed that I could join him in the truck and that he would be be there in one hour (this ETA was not unreasonable considering I was in the middle of no where). He even arrived a few minutes early than expected. After a very stressful day, the professional and friendly attitude of the driver felt like a saving grace. My car (and I) made it home safely and timely. I live in congested part of town but the driver was able to handle it with ease. He was even nice enough to help me push the car into a parking spot in my apartment building's garage. The costumer service is A+++ If ever find yourself in need of roadside assistance in Northern California area, I highly recommend this company.

Then after an hour on a 100 degree day, my insurance had still not found a tow truck to come bring my car to a tire shop. So I called some places and Bill answered my call. I was in a bad reception area so there was some confusion about where exactly I was, but he got to me as soon as he could. He had all the right tools to inflate my spare, remove the busted tire, put on the spare, and even directed us to several local places where we could get a new tire. Then when we hot to the tire shop, I realized Bill still had my wheel lock which was essential to getting the spare tire off. I called him up and he immediately apologized and said he would bring the wheel lock to the shop. It's truly amazing to find someone so genuinely transparent and communicative and who admitted to the mistake. Call them up if you need roadside help. Avila truly cares. Thank you Bill!

They still charged me a service fee, a towing fee, a LABOR fee, and a storage fee. (Over $1000) When I took my truck somewhere else they told me the transmission was missing parts. Erreca Rest Area late at night. We first called AAA, but the only option they could offer was to tow our car to a closed tire shop, where we would have to wait until morning to have the tire replaced. Here's something I especially want other stranded travelers to know: we almost didn't call Tires to You. While I was speaking with the AAA dispatcher, I was told that Tires to You showed as temporarily closed. My husband had already started calling them, and I actually told him to hang up because we thought they were closed. Thankfully, before he did, Guido answered the phone. And I am so glad he did. Guido told us that he tries to be that person who will answer the call, regardless of the hour. When you're stranded on the side of I-5 in the middle of the night, knowing there is someone you can actually call is an incredible relief. Guido came out to us and immediately gave us confidence that he knew how to work with Teslas. He knew to use the proper jack pucks when lifting our Model X so the vehicle and battery would not be damaged. When he determined that our tire could not be repaired, he didn't just tell us we would have to wait until morning. He went back to his shop, got a new tire for us, returned to the rest area, and installed it so we could safely continue our trip home. Throughout the entire ordeal, Guido was pleasant, professional, knowledgeable, and incredibly helpful. Before sending us on our way, he even took the extra time to check all four tires and make sure they had the proper tire pressure. After being stranded at a rest stop late at night, that kind of service meant more to us than I can say. Guido didn't simply replace our tire--he gave us peace of mind and got us safely back on the road. So if you find yourself stranded and see that Tires to You is "temporarily closed," call anyway. We almost didn't, and I am incredibly grateful that we did. Thank you, Guido, for answering the phone, coming to our rescue, taking such good care of our Tesla, and making sure we were safe before sending us on our way.
