I had a catalytic inverter that had been removed by a previous owner and Rick's automotive helped me replace the cat and when they called they told me it was unsecured I. The back as well... they welded everything up and secured the muffler with new hangers for a completely reasonable price. I recommend this place to anyone. I had spent 3 hours trying to get my car fixed and driving to different places to get estimates. I was feeling pretty sad about it. One of the mechanics recommended that I go to Rick's Muffler. I spoke with a mechanic there, and he said he knew what the problem was just from the sound of me pulling up. Whereas the last mechanic quoted me a fix for $560, the mechanic at Rick's said the problem wasn't as serious as I thought and that the fix would only be $95. He also did it in 20 minutes. From simple repairs to complete custom-fabricated systems, Rick has the patience and expertise to deliver top-notch work. Everyone at this shop is amazing. We have been going there for several years now and have always been very happy with the service. The mechanics will take the time to show and explain what is wrong with your car and what needs to be done. When our daughter started driving in high school and had problems with her car she was able to have it towed to Rick's and they took care of her, explained what was wrong, gave her an itemized list of what needed to be done, with prices and listed by priority. She was then able to make an informed decision. (Obviously we helped her, we just wanted to give her the experience). The only negative that I can think of is that they don't do transmission work...I might need some transmission work done. read more

I have had Rick's do several different things for me over the last 5 years or so. Whether it was bending a piece of tubing for use in a Turbo system or actually replacing rusted exhaust components, I have been met with an extraordinary level of professionalism. They also always have the best prices. When I get my car back I'm always impressed with the quality of work -- their welds are excellent. All that would get them 4 stars. The 5th and most difficult star is earned by their willingness to talk. If I have a question, they don't mind answering it over the phone if possible. They are also very willing to meet your needs. I needed a repair done and they gave me a quote. They knew I wanted the least expensive fix possible. AFTER THEY GOT THE CAR ON THE LIFT, THEY CALLED ME BACK AND TOLD ME THERE WAS. SECTION THAT DIDNT NEED TO BE REPLACED. by not replacing that section, they saved me a big chunk of change with no bad effects on the vehicle. They have earned a lifetime customer. read more

My muffler fell off completely, taking a piece of the pipe with it. I came to Rick's to get a new one. I have been welding for some time myself, and asked if I could watch them do their work. The gentleman made custom piping and welded the muffler on exceptionally well. He even welded a broken piece along the pipe, and tightened the nuts holding the pipes on as well!! My car has never been so peacefully quiet. All this for a price much cheaper than buying the pipe from a dealership or any other muffler shop that I know of. Fabulous business. read more

I have a 2006 Ford Mustang GT that I BABY! It's got performance, suspension and other mods and I try to only have the BEST people work on it. I had Taysom Tire and Muffler put some glass paks on, and imagine my total frustration when they NARROWED the exhaust to fit. UGH! I took it to Rick's to have an x-pipe and Flowmaster package installed. These guys were the BOMB! In and out fast, great price, great service, great products; I won't go anywhere else for my exhaust needs. Stay away from Taysom! read more

I have never felt so comfortable at an auto repair shop, and I have been to several over the years. I was told by a technician at a tire shop (where I bought tires) that I needed a ball joint replacement and that it would cost around $1,600. I was only there for a tire rotation...go figure. When I took my car to Rick's Muffler, I told them what the technician had told me and was pleasantly surprised when I was told that I just needed a front-end alignment. Sad thing is Rick's Muffler doesn't even do alignments. I was hoping they would because I wanted to give them my business. With that said, if I ever have issues with any of my vehicles, I'll definitely be taking them to Rick's Muffler. read more

My car failed emissions at a different shop due to check engine. When the codes were read, it came back as 2 O2 sensors. I was recommended to Rick's Muffler. I called and ask for a price quote for 2 O2 sensors specific to my car, make, model, year and locations of the sensors. I was price quoted around $220. They said I needed to leave it there for a little while so it could cool down before they worked on it. I took it in and left it there. They had it for three hours and I never received notification of any missed calls from them, until hours later I received a voicemail. When they called back they had said they tried to call me and had misquoted me on labor because it was much harder to get to the parts than what they had originally quoted. I told them to go ahead as I needed my car fixed for a road trip and needed it to pass emissions; and they had already had it for three hours. When I got there to pick up my car I paid $350 something dollars on my credit card not being told anything about my car. When I went to wait for my keys to be returned another man came to me and stated that he changed the O2 sensors and every time he turned on the ignition after he cleared the code, the engine light came right back on, with the same code. He stated that there must be something faulty between the wires and the O2 sensor, & I'd have to pay more money for a Diagnostics which would be hard because the labor to get into this part was difficult and they'd have to get right back in there to the part they just replaced. I feel like they took advantage of me being a female and not knowing much about cars- I paid them to get a problem fixed and it's still not fixed and I now I'm out $350. They told my husband that or was my fault for not requesting a diagnostic. I'd like to know how they know their part was not faulty to begin with?! Horrible service! DO NOT TAKE YOUR CAR HERE. You will get screwed. read more

Very courteous and helpful. I went in thinking my muffler was busted, they informed me that a pipe connecting to it was actually the problem. They came and told me the options/prices to fix it and let me choose/approve of what they did. Two different people came and offered me cold water bottles. I have found that they always look for the real solution to the problem, even if that means less money for them. This includes doing free diagnostics. If I could take my car to Rick's Muffle for ANY car problem I have, I totally would. Rick is the most honest auto worker I have ever worked with. I went to him a few times this past week while in Utah - originally went to him for muffler issues - and he later looked at my car and told me what was wrong with it (two hours of work that he didn't charge me for) even though his specialty is mufflers, not the AC fan that was having problems. I asked to pay him for his time and he refused. He was incredibly kind and supportive, letting me know to come back if I needed more help. I would recommend his shop to anyone looking for an honest, hard-working gentleman. His work is complete and he genuinely cares. read more
