I know for lunch you don't want long wait times. Our server was so great. She was very nice, attentive and friendly. Been here and the Lewiston location and always had good food. Still the same. Our food was delicious. Very nice portion sizes as well. We started off with the burnt ends.. YUM. The smoke flavor definitely came through and it came with some pickleld veggies and cucumbers, it was fresh and tasty. I went with the crab and corn chowder with the bourbon jam burger and fries. Also at the table was a basket of fried shrimp, and the chicken waffles. First let me say their seasoned fries are absolutely amazing. Fried perfect and when they call them seasoned, that they are in a great way! My crab and corn chowder was tasty. I could used bit more crab but that didn't take away from it tasting good. My burger was cooked as I liked. I wish the bacon jam to blue cheese ratio were a bit better. I had way more blue cheese than bacon jam so it was a bit over powering to where I couldn't even taste the bacon jam..but again the flavor and cook was great. I didn't taste the other food items but they looked great and who did eat them said they were good

This is such a great experience for students at the culinary school, I love that they have this ability to work here. The hostess, servers, and food is all PHENOMENAL. I do believe the menu changes seasonally/semesterly, so I will have to come back to try a new menu! You pay a flat fee of $40 for bread that is baked at the schools bakery, an appetizer of your choosing, an entree of your choosing, and also a dessert. This time I had some sort of sausage ball for my app, steak frites which was a special for my entree, and the chocolate raspberry tart. I would get everything again. The server even asked if we were celebrating anything special, and we just said that I was back in town and they wrote Welcome Home on my dessert plate! Such a special touch that will stick with me.

Ordered a salad, roasted chicken and the pana cotta for dessert. We left still hungry. All the portions were extremely small. They also did not ask about allergies, which I thought was SO important especially since they are a school. The salad was good, but about the size of a fist. The chicken was really tender and moist, plated well, but only a small thigh/wing with a few cubed cucumbers and tomatoes under. The pana cotta was 2-3 bites, was served on a cookie the size of an Oreo cookie. For $40 per person, it is overpriced and not worth it.

What I don't like are the floors. They're slippery, like a layer of humidity or oil slick on them and you really should be very careful walking around the restaurant. I don't know if that was a "summer" thing or not but I almost fell and so did my friend. I ordered a NY strip steak, medium well with sweet potato and broccoli, passing on the salad. All of it was tasty, if my steak wasn't a little too well, it would have been perfect. We had the spinach artichoke dip and it was so good, I wish I had some right now as I write this three days later. It comes with soft pita chips, perfection. We also tried the shrimp appetizer, so good! My friends enjoyed the Parmesan crusted steak, everything was really good. Our waitress was nice, no complaints there but I will complain about the women's restroom. Not sure what was happening there but it looked like someone ripped off the plastic to get to the covered toilet tissue and the wallpaper in the stall I enter was a shambles and ripped. The lock on my stall was also loose, almost coming off. They need to tend to this, the restrooms say a lot about the establishment so I hope they take care of this soon. Nice place for family or a date.

Firework displays, worth the extra cost for a table by the window. Fixed menu choices, lobster bisque soup was very good. Pork belly was excellent Mushrooms on toast was also good. Roasted lamb rack cooked to perfection and was excellent. Surf and turf , large lobster tail with braised short rib was very good. 16 Oz Rib Eye was tender and excellent, worth the upgrade along with the 12 Oz Wagyu kobe tenderloin. Their meat is worth making the trip to the restaurant. Desserts of chocolate tarts and chocolate cake were also amazing. Highly recommended on top of The Brock.

My expectations were mild considering the location. We ordered: Duck wings Pork Belly Beet Salad Shared a 20oz dry-aged "prime" rib eye Lobster Tail Scallops Mashed potatoes Duck Wings - Decent crispness, under seasoned. The sauce was sweet: would have benefitted with more acidity and salt. Use salt. 3/5 Pork belly - Tough and overcooked by about a long weekend. Flavour ok. 2/5 Beet Salad - Best appetizer, but it's just beet salad. 4/5 Ribeye - over cooked. Does not taste dry-aged or like "prime" grade beef. I would consider this close to SCAM territory. 1/5 Lobster Tail - Rubbery, but well seasoned. Edible. 2.5/5 Scallops - 3 x Tiny abductor muscles that did not warrant the $22 price tag. Rubber. Not edible. The waiter would not admit it was cooked from frozen 0/5 Mashed Potato - great. 4/5 The service was attentive and friendly. 4/5 Restaurant looks simple, but has a great view. Smells like a hotel restaurant. The kitchen doesn't know how make the sub-par ingredients into food. This is not a good restaurant.

I've never had egg whites so wasn't use to the taste but with the protein and veggies went perfect. A simple breakfast that went a long way. I wish it had it had a bit more mushrooms and spinach as I devoured it right up but nonetheless such a healthy option. This breakfast came from the a la carte options. Next, on my last day there I ordered the Chilaquiles Scramble for breakfast. It is scrambled eggs with cotija cheese, chorizo, salsa verdi, pico di gallo, crema, avocado, flour tortilla chips. This was soo delish the combo of all of these ingredients felt like I was eating a meal straight from Mexico. The tortilla at the bottom was a bit watery probably because I took it to go but still so yummy! Before these menu items, I ate from the buffet for breakfast as it was included in our room rate. I do prefer the a la carte menu over the buffet as I usually have only have a plate anyway and I think the menu items are just a bit more unique and specific options that the buffet might not carry. The buffet as your basic breakfast items and doesn't carry any veggies which was another reason why the a la carte menu is more my style. My kiddos had the French toast from the buffet and pancakes from the menu and they were satisfied with both. If you can, the free breakfast included in the room rate is such a must and the nice view they have overlooking the lake and rapids makes it highly worth it.

The bread that came with the meal was terrible - chewy + undercooked. Their "maple butter" tasted like a BBQ potato chip - nasty. Super expensive restaurant that didn't have the ambience to make up for its bad food.
