Even though it was a holiday weekend, he replied right away and arranged to stop by and take a look. He could not have been friendlier or more professional. Was referred over to them by a friend and I'm glad we went with them. Quick/easy to get the first appointment in. It went so fast, going around measuring the windows and we got the estimate on the spot. Pricing by far was the best compared to what we were expecting so we didn't even continue shopping around with others that couldn't even squeeze us in for an appointment for another couple of weeks. They didn't bother emailing the estimate to us either, just gave me the printout estimate on the spot and left samples for us to leaf through. Had some questions about the samples and instead of just answering the questions, he stopped by again to drop off the another set of samples so I could see for myself. We delayed him coming in since we wanted to get the actual windows fixed first (glass, not treatments) and once we got the other appointment set, called him back and it was super easy to get the appointment time set for install. Came in on time and was in out and out in under an hour installing everything. Masks on, super professional, efficient & easy to work with. They realized they brought one of the wrong sizes, but installed it for us anyway so the window is at least covered & they were calling on the spot for the replacement. They'll be back to do a quick pop out / reinstall and even offered for us to keep the old size in case we wanted it on a different window we didn't originally need covered. I can't recommend them enough. Family business, professional, adhering to safety concerns, took off their shoes in our house too to not track anything in. No mess, no fuss. We used Rick to install shutters in our home office. He was one of a few contractors that we contacted for a bid and he immediately impressed me. He came with his assistant Parker and they were very nice and informative. Most importantly, Rick noticed something no other contractor had noticed - the window on the right is so close to the corner of the wall that we would need a small frame. The other contractors did not notice this and were suggesting larger frames that wouldn't have worked and they probably wouldn't have realized it till they tried to install it! Rick also had the best bid in terms of price. Rick promised that the shutters would arrive within 6-7 weeks and they did. He and Parker came to install them and did it in less than 30 minutes! So impressed. The only downside was that they came 45 minutes late but it didn't really pose an inconvenience to me so I didn't mind. He accepts cash, check, or Paypal. Shutters are made by Sunland and have a 25 year warranty on everything including the paint. His pricing is very fair and worked right into our budget. The shutters are very good quality and Rick's very knowledgeable/handy. Ok guys, I swear I lucked out finding Rick on yelp. Given he doesn't promote his business any other way, except word of mouth. I saw his perfect review score and figured I'd call him for an installation of plantain shutters quote. He was the only one I called for a quote because after I met with him the first consolation visit, I knew his business was legit and he was the guy to hire for the job. His communication was easy , to the point and execution was times exactly how he promised. I half down at time of 1st visit and the other half on day of installation. Total turnaround time including installation was about 7 weeks. Would have been 6 but I had to push out the date a week. They turned out fantastic!! I'm so happy with them.
