Very helpful and extremely nice. They treat people right and aren't condescending or rude like some places. I went to look for a firearm to purchase and even though they couldn't find what I was looking for they pointed me in the right direction and were professional I'm doing so. read more

.BEWARE: I made the mistake bringing a valuable CD Box Set to them and they switched it out with used CD's and it was missing a lot. It was unopened and I had it over 30 years. They are scanlous thieves. read more

This was my first experience at a pawn Shop. The service was slow. They need a bench to wait on like in a barbershop. My tools were not worth as much as I thought they were. read more

Not worth the trip. Firearms dept. Is a joke. Poor customer service & they're outrageous wanting a $100 restock fee to take a firearm from hold back to the showcase. And after a background hold for 30 days without any negative reports they want you to do another 10 day background check and pay for it. I went to Turner's & had it in hand 10 days later as usual. Was told it was probably an error on Rick's end not inputting firearm information correctly. Never again ! read more

I've purchased several guns here. Frank is the man. Very knowledgeable and down to earth. Solid guys here.

The folks at the firearm counter are great. Super professional, know all the CA gun laws, and help you get the most bang for your buck. If you are in the market for a rifle, pistol, or shotgun, I highly suggest you give them a try before overpaying some place else. read more

Cool staff and I was able to get my firearm safety course done here pretty quickly. Lower score bc they say "Diamond Exchange" on side of building, I came in with four (4) 1.00ct GIA certified 2 clear 2 pink diamonds, and a few smaller natural pink argyle diamonds, also GIA certified, so 7 stones total, each stone easily worth over 1k apiece on the lower end, closer to 2k+ retail for each individual, and they offered me $100 for all 7 diamonds!! Clearly don't know jack about diamonds. That or they rip people off insanely. Either way, I refuse to give a store with such poor ethics any of my hard earned $$$. I suggest absolutely no body spend any $ here, other than getting your firearm exam. read more

I've never pawned anything before but the firearms side of the business is top notch, very knowledgeable and courteous and helpful whether you're a beginner or an expert. I have used them several times for online purchase transfers also and so the best experience in the valley read more

I love all the staff at this fine business, I have been coming here for over 15 years and I absolutely love the jewelry department they have beautiful things that I have purchased over the years and even had special rings as well as bracelets made with meaning behind them. They also do good repairs on any jewelry you need fixed and they have someone onsite that does it within a few days. read more

In my experience with this shop, I pawned a diamond ring and as I paid to retrieve my ring I noticed a missing diamond. Thank goodness for the details on my pawn slip. It clearly said no missing diamonds. Also, the ring's diamond clasps were opened. I'm going to agree with other's reviews about this Pawn Shop will steal from us customers. I've had them to sell off my items saying they mailed me warning, Not! On this occasion these were very sentimental pieces that were Ripped Off from me. A 18" gold herringbone with the matching bracelet. The other was my 22k charm bracelet. Are they selling ppl's items over Craigslist? SMH Lastly, as I'm attempting to pick up my 18k gold earrings I was told they were sold. Like wtf, I was in awe, I went to the jewelry counter and what did I find, SMMFH, my pear shaped 18k gold earrings. I was applauded but, the silver hair lady made a deal with me to purchase them back. Over the years I've purchased many items Bose stereo, ps4, countless jewelry purchased. But, guess what Rick's Pawn Shop. I'm done doing business with you. You don't even make proper jewelry repairs. I'm done! Please beware of these shadow characters and find another place to do business. read more

If you're in the market to purchase a new firearm I highly recommend Rick's Pawn Shop. Their staff is incredible and friendly, even during the changes through Covid. The wait times were a bit longer due to the situation, but every time I called for an update they were always keeping well informed during the process. I'll be going back again! read more

I came here after getting a massage, just moved into the area and decided to see what gun store options are available. The guy that was handling the covid line was really cool and down to earth. He even informed me what little ammo they had left in stock and little firearms they had left. I still decided to go in and take a look, yep. Didnt have much left. So, out of luck. Will be back in better times after all of the panic buying to see what they truly are like. read more

Came to this location three times with cash in hand to purchase a firearm and service was below mediocre each time. They do have a handful of firearms to choose from, however the ones behind the counter seem as if you are bothering them. If you come to Ricks, definitely anticipate waiting about 10-15 minutes before you are acknowledged. Went over to the Raspy Rabbit where my wife and I both purchased firearms with much better service. read more

Went in there to buy my first AR15 (custom order), and between Jake & Paulie, it was a very fun and entertaining time. These guys are very patient, personable, and knowledgeable, and will take the time to explain any questions you might have. Paulie and I hit it off immediately, and started exchanging life stories and jokes within 5 minutes; that's how chill these guys are. Highly recommended, fair prices, and great service! Will be my exclusive local shop. Thank you guys, and I'll be doing more business with you all in the near future!! read more

Keep in mind They are also a factory new gun dealer. Frank and the folks in the gun department are absolutely awesome! They are very professional, knowledgeable, helpful, honest and keep a well stocked selection. If it's not in stock they will order what you need. I normally travel down below to a unnamed chain shop for all my guns and ammo needs. Not any longer!! Ricks AV Pawn prices are even better than that chain store. I wasn't aware Ricks was a new factory gun dealer until I heard it from a friend. Do yourself a favor and visit the their gun department before you go anywhere else for guns and ammo. Also do your friends, family and neighbors a solid by passing the word. Thanks Ricks AV Pawn, see you again very soon! read more

I have been a customer, purchases mainly, for ten years. I have sold a few pieces of gold, but today, I sold a 10k gold bracelet and only received $10.00 a gram, so people, be sure weigh your gold and check around as most buyers, if upfront, will tell you what they pay for a gram. When I challenged, I was told, "oh we only go by pennyweight", and since I have been a longtime customer you would think instead of being somewhat rude, it would have been explained, but that should not make a difference, when the math comes out. I have sold 10k gold before, to others, and never paid so low. And, I purchased it from them many years before. I will no longer be a customer. read more

I was referred to Rick's Pawn Shop to take my HSC test and process my DROS for a handgun I purchased and these guys where very cool and explained things very well.. I was impressed how attentive and genuine these guys were.. I drove from Van Nuys to Lancaster and would do it again, I have a very unfriendly gun shop near me and Id rather give my business to people who actually appreciate it.. Paulie thank you and the rest of the staff.. I'll be stopping by for my next gun purchase Sal read more

I'm sure most of the employees are pleasant to work with, but my experience with Chris was far from standard customer service. I had bought a PS3 from Chris a few days back, and when I returned it I told him the port to the controller was messed up and that "sometimes" the games get stuck in the loader. After he plugged in the system he came back and told me the controller was indeed messed up but that the loader is fine. Well I've been in customer service for 8 years and his response was telling me I was a liar. Chris, there are some honest people in the world. Chris then said he could exchange the controller or if I had my card could give me the refund. Might I mention his demeanor was like as if he didn't even want to help me. No smile, no emotion in his voice and when he asked for my ID slammed it on the counter. Sorry Ricks pawn shop but you just lost a customer to gamestop. And while I may spend more money, I'll get better customer care. read more

Pleasure working with these guys to purchase a firearm. They are professional and funny which is always a good mix. I personally dealt with Paulie, Antonio, and Davy. Each of them has a great attitude and don't make you feel rushed with your purchase. You can tell that these guys care about their customers at the end of the day. Their firearms and ammo are priced correctly as well. I will be back to do business with them again. read more

I wanted to compliment the staff at Rick's, especially Antonio. I went in to take my firearm safety test and possibly buy a handgun. Antonio spent a lot of time with me and answered all my questions as well as help me choose a handgun based on what was right for me. No pressure, no making me feel like a dummy because of my inexperience. I really appreciated his service. I will definitely be back! read more

Just bought an Arsenal AK47 at this place. The people are very helpful and friendly. If you want something they don't have, they will find it and order it for you as long as it's California legal. So I had been shopping around for quite a while looking to purchase a Glock 19 and every place was either out of stock or way over priced. I even left the A.V. and went to Ontario/Rancho Cucamonga to Bass PrO Shop and still couldn't find the firearm or price I was looking for. I remembered when I was a young kid my Dad used to take me to Ricks Pawn Shop so I shot over there to check things out. Keep in mind I had already been to the Vault and the GunShop as well where both places I was treated like I was an uneducated idiot and the Employees knew more than I knew no matter what and I knew nothing and that any/every question I asked was a bad/stupid one. I didnt feel comfortable spending over $500 somewhere that I didn't feel welcome. So long story short, I call Ricks and already over the phone they were professional and informative. I decided to go in and I had the pleasure of talking to and being taught a lot by Antonio. He was very knowledgeable and kept up with every question and curiosity striken comments I had while at the same time still seeming interested in me as a customer. I will continue to make my firearm purchases through Antonio and Ricks Pawn Shop and make sure all of my friends and family do the same! Funny to think after 25 years my Dads choice to take me there still stood strong in my head! Thanks again Antonio and Ricks!!! read more

Very good to deal with regarding guns and ammo. Very customer-orientated and pro-active. If they don't have what you want, they usually can get it for you and at a fair price. They also handle private party and out-of-state transfers, once again at a fair price. read more

This place is a RIPOFF!! Everyone that works here is very friendly and extremely nice but I take out a 25.00 loan on my tablet and when I went to pick it up they charged me 25.00 plus the 10.00 fee and claimed its California state law. I didn't even have the loan for 3 days. They pretty much pentalize you for short term loans. I would choose another own shop that doesn't do that over this one. read more
