The owner was very friendly and professional. I went here with a gold chain to sell and he broke down his pricing and how gold prices can mildy fluctuate over time. I told him I was going to some other pawn shops in the area just for a second opinion and he said he would match offers from competitors. The 2 other pawn shops I went to gave lower offers than he did so I came back, he even threw in some bonus cash for me coming back to him. Wonderful! This very nice man is the opposite of what you would think of Pawn shop owners from watching certain TV shows. Extremely fair and honest. I had 49 Silver Morgan and Peace dollars and about 27 Kennedy 1964 Silver half dollars, and a few other coins. I researched all of my coins beforehand and the price of silver, so I sort of knew how much they were all worth at list price. Of course he has to make a living, so you're not getting list price, but I was afraid he would offer 50% or less on their value. However, he offered me a much higher percentage on their list value, much higher than I thought. I ended up leaving with quite a bit more money than I thought I would. He is also very meticulous in his calculations and when he writes everything down, if you know how much things are worth, you can see he is very fair and accurate. I've been to several jewelry establishments in the AV, and have been disappointed. At Pawn Big, every item of jewelry I've seen, has been high end quality. The prices and repair cost are the most reasonable, I found in the AV. Victor is professional, kind and friendly. His goal is to make his costumers happy. The establishment is clean and safe. There is a full time security guard present. Only one person is allowed inside at a time, so you get undivided attention. I went into this place to sell some jewelry because I hear their ads on local AV radio stations all the time, that they guarantee they will pay the highest for your gold and jewelry. The gentleman behind the counter was incredibly arrogant and unfriendly (to be honest I had a much better conversation with the security woman outside). While I was attempting to ask him questions he continually answered the phone and laughed while he spoke on the phone. I had a feeling he was trying to low ball me on the value of my jewelry and decided to take my business elsewhere. I decided to try the European jewelry place inside of the AV mall and low and behold, they gave me $50.00 more for my jewelry. Moral of the story, had the guy at the first place not been so rude and arrogant I probably would have taken what he offered me. read more
