I've shopped here for years since I was a teen but won't be returning. I recently bought a silver chain as a birthday gift for someone. While paying for the chain I was told that I can return the chain for any reason within 7 days if I had the receipt. The chain I bought ended up being too short so I called the next day to not only see about returning the chain, but to also see if they can order one for me in a longer size. The girl who answered the phone began telling me that I can't return the chain and when I explained I was told I had seven days to return it she would cut me off and tell me that's wrong. She also completely ignored me when I asked about ordering a longer chain and stopped listening to anything I had to say only repeating that I can't return anything. Because of this I'm not buying from this place anymore and I'd advise everyone to be careful when it comes to their return policy because apparently it varies depending on who you're talking to. We stopped by to have the battery on a watch changed and they were so efficient and quick that we didn't even walk around the whole store before the watch was ready. And the price?! It was less than $7 Although almost everything is locked up, there's a lot of staff and they're all helpful. They have a lot of jewelry and the prices were very reasonable. Went to silver depot to buy some silver ball studs. Approximately 5people working right at the door. Not one said hello. I asked about the studs and one lady just told me to look in the cabinet. No help at all. I asked a gentleman where are the ball studs he showed me and cashed me out. As I was leaving another lady was walking in. All I hear is welcome...so strange I walked in on silence and she walked in being greeted. I will not spend another one of my hard earned dollars in this store. Keep away! I went in to have a watch battery installed. The girl at the front counter could not close the watch after installing. She went to back room where they put it in a press. Still would not close. Went back 2-days later and asked for manager, who was not present on initial visit. I explained what had happened and without checking with any other employee, told me that they were not responsible because that is how I brought the watch in. Totally not true. I subsequently took watch to a repair facility and after trying everything they could think of, I was told that Silver Depot had completely bent the case beyond repair. I patronized this store Jan 28th for earrings ONLY for hubby and I. Moving forward I asked the only African American male who assisted me in the store as well as checked me out if I would be able to EXCHANGE the earrings for hubby if he didn't like them for any reason. He stated, "yes, as long as they're in their original packaging and you have a receipt w/in 7 days." After coming back 4 days later with my hubby to exchange them I was told by the store manager that I couldn't exchange them. I simply explained to her what the male clerk told me and she said she couldn't exchange them and that it was against their policy. She also stated that she needed to talk to the male clerk and get back to me. Thursday, Feb 2 she called me back telling me that clerk stated that body jewelry was none returnable and other items were exchangeable. As I tried to explain to the manager that the statement the clerk told her didn't make sense nor did it apply to my case. She simply told me I must have misunderstood what I was told. Lol I find it strange that a place of business would side with their employee vs a customer. Implying it was me who misunderstood accusing a customer. I purchased ONLY earrings (body jewelry) so if I asked at checkout, "can I exchange these if my husband doesn't like them" the short answer would of been a SIMPLE no!!! It's clear and obvious that this business doesn't appreciate nor value its customers. Please proceed with caution . I will NEVER shop here again!!! I am so crushed. I have been purchasing items and spent a lot of money with them. I sell silver. Well I happened to grab a magnet and put it over my jewelry and damn what a rip off. The magnet picked up on the clasp but not the chain. I'm so embarrassed as I sold this product to people! I'm filing a complaint with better business bureau as well as doing everything possible to get my money back. I have a reputation for guaranteed items to my clients and this is what I provided them with? This crap. I could have bought from Wish or eBay for cheaper if I'd known this. The new management of this place is awesome. As a 21 year old fashion major I always have trouble finding nice jewelry and usually have to take the risk of buying online. This was the first jewelry store that I have been to where I actually felt like I was getting the service and advise I needed like in other clothing stores like All saints and Gucci. I have been going to this place for over 15 years. I would get body jewelry and earrings. However, over the years the quality has changed. The pieces are cheaply made and break overtime thus is why there are so many no returns/exchange signs. The owner acts like she never wants to hire anybody so she constantly running around the store trying to help 15 people at one time and when you ask her why she doesn't hire help she gets offended. read more

Just stopped in for a watch battery. I recently moved to this area from Florida where I was used to paying $10-13 for watch batteries. I was happy to find that they only charge $3 and it was changed for me in minutes. They also have really good prices on jewelry. I bought a pair of SS studs for pretty cheap. This place gets 10 negative stars! We have came here for years! We felt comfortable with this company UNTIL ONE PURCHASE MADE IT THE WORST. We bought a thick chain. 168 grams of "SILVER" that we purchased for $367... We bought this chain 6 months ago... And then recently we started discovering a rash on the side of the neck and we wondered "It couldn't be the chain!!! It's real silver!" I thought it was another chain that i was wearing as well! So I stopped wearing that chain... and just wore the thick "real silver" chain... and the rash got worse! So i started examining this chain... and upon examination the silver was chipping away from the chain AND the color is like a dark gray metallic color! And also I investigated on how to check if silver was real, they say one way you can check is through magnets, so i used a NEODYMIUM magnet and it stuck right to the CHAIN!!!! And I went a step further and tried to "PAWN" the chain! and they went STRAIGHT FOR THEIR MAGNET and stuck it to the CHAIN AND SAID... they couldn't give me ANYTHING!!! It's not real silver!!! So I took it a STEP FURTHER! I took my magnet to THEIR shop and tried it on all their "real silver" chains... and they ALL STUCK but a couple chains!!! I spoke to JEFF in a respectful manner, even dealt with him for an hour and a half AND I respectfully pulled him away from his customers so they wouldn't have to hear the conversation, just out OF RESPECT. I did not raise my voice, I did not curse, but showed him how the magnets were sticking to the chains, I showed him the rash that was on my neck! (by the way, within 3 days of not wearing the chain the rash started going away and it was not itching anymore! though i have black scars to this day...) I showed him the silver chipping away and he played like he didn't see the chipping but told me that it was a coating that is put over it to keep the shine, He tried buffing it down, and when he brung the chain back it was two different tones on the chain, and much darker than before! One color showed that it looked almost silver, and another color showed that it looked stainless steel. I also rubbed the chain in my hand and it started chipping and I showed him that. I even had proof of the video when I went to the Pawn shop where the worker told me it was fake and the worker even said I shouldn't have paid no more than $150-$200 for 168 grams of silver. Not only that I bought other pieces of "silver", 2 sets of Earrings, a bracelet and come to find out that was FAKE AS WELL! While I was waiting for him to attend to me Another customer came in there and I overheard her asking why her silver was changing colors, and she even said out of her own words, "I hope its real silver." The last thing he told me was that he would have my chain tested to see if it's legit, So he said he would give me a call, It's been about 2-2 1/2weeks now and NO PHONE CALL... After all the years I've been going to them i would think I would get BETTER service than that!!! And lastly the OWNER IS RUDE! SHE'S A THIEF AND DISRESPECTFUL! SHE TOLD ME SHE'S BEEN WORKING THERE FOR 16 YEARS! So that means for 16 years she's been ripping hard-working people off!!!...While she sits in there making easy money off of FAKE MERCHANDISE! These people need to be stopped and someone needs to do something about this immediately... And don't get me wrong, they do sell silver-plated jewelry but i HAVE FOOTAGE OF HER SAYING THAT MY CHAIN IS REAL SILVER!!!... And the chains that she said were real are FAKE because Jeff let me put magnets against those same chains! and upon contact, immediately they began to stick!!! And He still brushed it off!!! As if he didn't see what just proved Me RIGHT! And I also told him You've been working here a long time, enough for you to know that real silver does not stick to MAGNET! Neither, does real silver CHIP! neither, Does real silver brake you out! AND neither, does real silver change to a dark grey metallic color!!! I EVEN TOLD HIM "IF THIS IS REAL SILVER THAT YOU ARE GIVING ME, TAKE THE BRACELET, THE TWO SETS OF EARRINGS, AND THE CHAIN AND JUST GIVE ME MY 168 GRAMS OF REAL SILVER," I EVEN TOLD HIM I WAS WILLING TO TAKE A LOSS... AND AT THE END OF THE DAY I WAS BAMBOOZLED OVER $430 OF HARD EARNED MONEY! I came here a few days ago to get a new nose piercing. My old one was going to have to be ripped out of my nose so before I did that I wanted to buy a new replacement one. When I came in I explained to one of the workers (or owners) names Jenny what was going to happen & she helped me cut it out instead of having to rip it out. Been here several times usually the gentleman helps me and no issues with their products. Of course because the prices are so cheap I assume nothing is real. The girl that helped us today with earrings and a tongue ring was very helpful, very nice. HOWEVER the older woman at the register today was already helping someone else and decided to multitask which means she tells me my price no eye contact, takes my card no eye contact I could have been anybody using my card since she never looked at me and handed me my receipt said "thank you" but does it really count when you've been helping someone else the entire time?? I have been coming here for years. As a guy with his lip pierced (snake bites) and his ears plugged 5"8 this place is like heaven. I would always loose my lip ring balls and always come back here to buy them, and at such a great price. I was by here the other day and a freakin CAR DROVE THROUGH the glass window into the shop!!! Some guy hit drive instead of reverse... that's beside the point; the selection is great from plugs to lip rings and beyond. The Asian lady that works there is super sweet to me and has gotten me in and out with what I need.
