1 Star - Service, service, service…read more I placed an order for pizza (specifically asking for no fresh basil) and decided to sit inside while I waited. The person who took my order made the pizza, placed it in the warmer, and put the salad in the refrigerator--while I was still sitting there waiting. No one bothered to call my name or let me know my order was ready. Only when it was close to closing time did the staff finally ask, "Hey, what are you waiting for?" I told them I was waiting for my order, and they casually handed it over pizza that had been sitting in the warmer for 15+ minutes and a salad pulled from the crisper. When I finally got back to my hotel, I opened the box to find basil all over the pizza, even though I had specifically requested none. Their only solution was to remake it and wait another half an hour for it. No, I'm good. Completely unacceptable. Poor communication, inattentive service, and careless disregard for my order. I am irritated and disappointed.

Happened upon this restaurant after several failed attempts to eat in the area. One restaurant was…read moretoo hot. Another restaurant had a 45 minute to an hour wait, with no drinks. Therefore we left that establishment and ventured over to Harper Street. Easy seating at Bob's. Our drinks and water came to the table fast which was good because it was a very hot day. Every day they have slices from 11am to 4pm. This worked out great since our party could not decide on a pizza. I really wanted to try the Chicken Sausage pizza. For pizza I got the pepperoni slice and my friends got beer battered cheese curds and the fried pickles. Both appetizers were great. Really appreciated the thinly sliced pickles. The waitress was very nice and the Manger was too. Learned that the pizza dough is made with beer versus water. All in all a good experience. I would suggest eating here if in the area and I plan on checking out their other Chicago-land location.

We came here because, my husband enjoyed a meal here a few months ago. They do not accept…read morereservations and were able to seat us pretty quickly. Everyone was really nice. Sambal catfish with Cole slaw and cavitappi noodles in cheese sauce. The fish and cole slaw were very tasty. The noodles were okay. Koren Fried Chicken with pickles, corn bread, mash potatoes and gravy. The chicken was fried hard, it was a whole chicken but it was just okay in flavor. The pickle was a little weird. Mashed potatoes and gravy while I suspect they are powdered potatoes were decent on flavor. Pass on the corn bread. Lobster rangoon was pretty good. Honey Chipotle wings had a tasty sweet sauce. Fried green tomatoes was inedible, the green was too green leaving them hard, difficult to slice and bitter so we sent them back. Service was excellent, they took them away without a word and didn't charge us. Saigon noodles, best bite of the night! Tender beef, flavorful sauce, scallions and perfectly cooked noodles. Yum. Shrimp spring rolls. Just okay. Quesibirria eggrolls with tomato basil sauce, second best bite of the night. Tender meat, innovative sauce. Perfect eggroll shell. Grenada 9, spring fever, hibiscus margarita, all tasty! Lastly, there was a band. It was too loud (taking away from the dining experience especially with the acoustic feedback) and because my mother told me when you have nothing good to say, dont say anything, I'll stop there.

You can check out the photos... everything was really tasty and prepared perfectly. The crispy shrimp delivered on the crispness, the braised oxtail was tender and flavorful, the fried green tomatoes had a different breading than I was used to (not cornmeal) but it was a delightful difference. I always enjoy discovering new ways to prepare traditional foods. I didn't get to try the dessert but it looked and smelled good. It's a pound cake version vs angel cake. The Hyde Park area where Chant is located has a lot of restaurants nearby in case you want to taste hop or folks in a large group want to try different things.

Music is diverse and perfect level to chat but still vibe. This place does southern cuisine right. Portions size and pricing is perfect. Cocktails are really good and honestly charge more. Food: Herbed Shrimp & toast: 20/10 there's a hint of spice but loves just get it! Get it. It reminds me of the lobster served at Hampton Social with a kick. Smash burger & fries: There was an abundance of fries and I loved that. The burger was so good I didn't mind it was American cheese. The burger was amazing 20/10 Catfish is so amazing. Flaky and perfectly crispy. Not salty. Just perfect. Get it. Green beans: 20/10 turkey meat was top tier Mac n cheese: is not my favorite but the texture, cheese, and salty flavor was perfect. The dish is a bit sweet but customers love it so you may too. 8/10 Drinks: 20/10 The Park Bulldog, this feature a mini corona bottle and it's really good. I could finish bc I drove lmao. Blueberry Mojito I can say this was good, a bit heavy of the syrup, but outside of that I'd get it again. Overall had enough to take home the family and everyone smashed before I snack. I'm quite upset but it's fine. I will be back to get more soon! I heard brunch is fabulous so I'm coming in!
