Now that they have started fixed price lunches (three courses for £25) we thought we would give it a go. We had very little expectation of an outpost of the ever-expanding Padstein empire, with the great man hardly ever there. And located in the heartland of footballers and their WAGs, nothing bodes well. But...it was great. The food was excellent, the views over Poole harbour lovely (we were blessed with a window seat), and the service friendly if a bit haphazard. We started with black risotto with cuttlefish, which was exceptional, with a sweetness to the sauce and firm fresh cubes of cuttlefish. Main was a recipe from Stein's recent excursion to Shanghai, red braised pork belly. Then to finish Chocolate pavé with salted caramel ice cream, which was on another plane from the usual restaurant chocolate dessert.
