I am always surprised by the amount of costumers that the Clipper attracts I have never seen it half full let alone empty. I believe this to be mainly down to the quality of the food and drinks served. For around five pounds you can get a toasted cheese and ham sandwich and a hot chocolate both of which are some of the best I have tasted. The service is professional and fast and there is a wide selection of food on offer. It is a great place to meet up for coffee and have a chat over a lovely meal or snack.

It's modern clean and has quite good craft ale . They are naming their beers quite patriotically obviously to reflect south coasts connections with the Second World War . What used to be known as the Fleetsbridge hotel now holds its own as one of the best places in the area for a cavery dinner. The prices are reasonable and booking in advance is normally only at busy periods such as Christmas etc. probably best to cal if you have doubts. The tables have plenty of room so less on the knocking elbows and the staff are very polite and helpful. The food speaks for itself and with the choice of the carvery or set meals from the menu there is guarantied to be something for everyone. The restaurant and bar has its own off road parking and beer garden so great for the summer as well and worth a look.
