Having a significant residential tree removal requirement and being a retired engineer, commercial pilot and independent IT consultant, I had to be absolutely convinced that the selected company could successfully and safely accomplish the task. I did extensive research and contacted eight different tree services for proposals / estimates. There were three trees in the 75' to 100'+ and three in the 50' to 75'+ brackets, all locations involving residential structures and / or power lines and on both sides of a residential street. Based on these considerations and the plans offered, I selected Richmond Tree Experts and the results were even better than expected. One additional aspect of the project was working with one Richmond crew on the removal of two of the smaller trees without crane assistance and with an entirely different Richmond crew on the removal of the remaining four trees with crane assistance. Both crews did exceptional work in protecting sensitive landscape features and concrete driveways, while emphasizing safety and professionalism throughout the three day project. Richmond Tree Experts was selected by our HOA Board from a group of four companies to remove 20+ trees from an area surrounding the pool of our subdivision. Their rep, Scott, was very professional and focused on the task we presented - removing several very large trees that shaded the pool duirng summer days and an additional 15 - 18 medium trees. Their team arrived on time, brought all of their own company equipment (crane, trucks, etc.), and worked in an extremely organized order to remove the trees, stack the cut timber, and haul it off. This is important in lots of ways. We discovered that some companies rent or borrow equipment which increases the price to the customer. Richmond has all of their own - trucks, crane, etc. Most importantly the crane operator gets to know the tree climbers and how they maneuver...having a stable consistent team using familiar equipment reduces the chances for mistakes or accidents and speeds up the process. Their crew cleaned up all the brush and foliage, and returned the area to us better than we gave it to them. A couple of weeks ago, in the middle of the night (2AM), we had a huge oak tree fall, crossing over a major street in our neighborhood. Richmond Tree Experts was contacted by the City of Sandy Springs to remove the tree from the road. We, in turn, were responsible for removal of the remaining part of the tree and stump left in our yard. Scott and his team were exceptional. By 4Am, they were working, in the pouring rain, to remove the tree from the road and were even able to help us GREATLY by removing both the tree and stump from our yard (enabling us to get a quick repair to our fence). Their work was very professional, efficient and thorough. I have a yard with quite a few trees, and some big ones, at that. Richmond Tree has done work for us several times over the last few years and we've always felt they were very capable, very efficient and super careful. This past week they came through for us when one of our largest pines cracked at its base (we didn't realize it was hollow) and was threatening our garage. Within an hour, they had their crane at our house and the tree was down by the afternoon. The crane driver gets extra points for the VERY tight squeeze he managed to navigate. This is the most professional, efficient tree removal service EVER! Their cost was competitive with two other services and they had very courteous and helpful staff. We had 9 large and one extra large trees removed, several precariously close to our home which we thought would prove difficult to remove. Richmond brought in a crane and made short work of the removals and never jeopardizing our home. We were particularly surprised and delighted that they haul away all the branches instead of using a chipper which is I'm sure appreciated by our neighbors. A tree had fallen a day after a storm went through the area. It was precariously hanging above 2 water/sewage mains and cutting it without breaking the pipes seemed extremely difficult. Called several tree companies to give us an estimate for trimming and removing several trees. Richmond Tree was the only one who showed up when they said they would. The salesman was very polite and took time explaining to me exactly how they would go about removing and trimming the trees. They showed up a couple days later as promised and did an excellent job and cleaned up nicely like they were never here. This company is the rock star of tree removal services! They were incredibly professional, quick, cleaned up EVERYTHING! Other companies said they would have to take down my power and cable lines. Plus the other comapnies said their cranes would crack my driveway. This is a fantastic crew. They are incredible to watch. The crane operator and climber work together like 2 dancers, removing limb after limb until the entire tree is diced up in the street.
