Lamp Arts - Lamp Arts, Atlanta

Lamp Arts

Westside / Home Park

We had an antique bronze lamp that had been knocked over by our cat. As a result the stem of the…read morelamp was crooked, and the marble and gilded metal base rocked. We took the lamp to another repair shop who could not fix it and then also to a metal repair shop. That shop refused to attempt a repair. Needless to say the lamp was packed away and no longer used. Recently we unpacked it, and I took it to Lamp Arts. I did not have high expectations for a successful repair based on my other experiences. About a week after I dropped it off, I received a call that my lamp was ready. The lamp had been rewired and a new socket installed. Our original base was reattached and no longer rocked. The lamp had been completely straightened. The cost was $45 which seemed a bargain for the work performed. We couldn't be more pleased with the end result. We will definitely be going back for other repairs or lamp shades we may need.

On the way to somewhere else when we spotted Lamp Arts and my friend said, "I love lamps." Bases, lampshades, chandeliers and other décor items. So many design and style options! One thing I noticed is that this sure isn't the Walmart or IKEA lamp aisle. These are conversation pieces and they're definitely not inexpensive. There is high quality for sure. [Review 20048 overall - 647 in Georgia - 1023 of 2023.]

Lightning Bug Electric

Lightning Bug Electric

Outstanding Electric Company!…read more I had an extremely challenging situation with a master bathroom project after the previous contractor abandoned the job. The walls had already been tiled, and the electrical work for the fixtures had been done very poorly. Several electricians and contractors came out to look at the project, but most declined to take it on because the situation was such a mess. Then I called Lightning Bug Electric, and they were absolutely fantastic from the very beginning. They immediately arranged for Cody to come out for a site visit. He took the time to really understand the situation, carefully thought through each challenge, developed a plan, and provided me with a quote on the spot. I was incredibly impressed with his knowledge, professionalism, and willingness to take on a difficult project that others had walked away from. The very next morning at 9:00 a.m., two technicians arrived and got to work. Marcus and Anthony were brilliant, respectful, hardworking, and incredibly skilled. They navigated an extremely complicated situation with expertise and a great attitude. Not only did they never seem frustrated by the challenges they encountered, they were so kind and courteous. They took the time to do the job correctly rather than taking shortcuts. What impressed me most was that all three--Cody and the two technicians--mentioned how much pride they take in their work. And it absolutely showed. The quality of the work was outstanding. They were professional from start to finish, communicated well, showed up when they said they would, and left me feeling confident that the electrical work was finally done properly. Lightning Bug Electrical exceeded my expectations in every way. I would highly recommend them to anyone looking for knowledgeable, professional electricians who genuinely care about the quality of their work. Five stars without hesitation!

Crew of five arrived on time, explained the process and worked throughout the 11 hour stint like a perfectly choreographed crew. No lunch or bathroom breaks with their laser focus on customer satisfaction. Even a few challenges replacing a near 50 year old breaker board handled with a team approach. Explaining every detail and process and leaving every area they touched cleaner than when they got here. Thank you Taylor, Leo, Matt, Kaden, jasmine and Heather. Feeling just a tad guilty about our power going out at some point. Will use them again for less dramatic work we need. Allowed credit card payment without penalty with a competitive price.

Abulous Landscape Lighting - Design and installation by Abulous Lighting

Abulous Landscape Lighting

I have interviewed several outdoor lighting companies, owner Frank of 'Abulous Lighting' was not…read moreonly knowledgeable but easy to discuss options with. He is a straight shooter and carefully listens. Frank and his team are, professional, trustworthy and kind! I love the end result; my house looks great; 'Abulous' prices are very fair!

Frank came to our house and gave us a quote for Outdoor lights.  We approved and asked him to…read moreproceed with the installation and that is when I realized I was given FALSE information.  The big selling point was - Frank said that he uses LED lights manufactured by AMP (sister company of Volt) which are rated for 10 years (40,000 hours).  However, Frank warrants the lights ONLY for 1 year.  That was a red flag in my mind, but I did not connect the dots at that time.    On the day of installation, the installer Zach showed me the fixtures (see pics attached).  The fixtures with the lights (bullet UL-101 lights and UL-102 lights) were not in a box.  I asked the installer why they were not in a box (are these pre-owned fixtures?).  Zach said they do not get it from their supplier in a box.   Further, the fixtures did not have ANY identification - no manufacturer name, no SKU number... NOTHING.  Only the Chinese knockoff fixtures have NO identification.  Do these fixtures have AMP lights?  The answer is a big NO.   I canceled the installation and gave Frank multiple opportunities to clarify and he continues to be EVASIVE.  Note:  Very cleverly, Frank does not include manufacturer's names on his website....if you think for a minute you would know why....however, we are so busy with our daily activities that we really trust contractors and do not get into these details.       Also, watch out for the reviews for Abulous (many look Fake and Paid for).  If a reviewer has only 1 or 2 reviews and has glowing things to say about your service - it is MOST likely a Fake account!! I see several such reviews for Abulous.   Before you waste your like (like what I did), ask that you want to look at sample fixtures.  Do your due diligence!!
