FUN! Sold here recently on a Saturday. Gates open at 6, was there by 6:40, found my spot, used the…read morerestroom, came back to my car and started dragging stuff out. Had buyers immediately. My goal was to get rid of clothes, household stuff. 90% of my stuff I sold for $1...people got some sweet deals for sure! If you sell, be prepared for customers to haggle...it's a swap meet! Definitely an early bird market on Saturdays I did most of my business between 7-10:30AM (made only $10 after 10:30). I decided not to stick around and packed it up at 11:15 and bounced. I came with 15 boxes, a large wine rack, an end table, and a beach chair, and came back with 4 small boxes and $170. Place was clean, restrooms clean, staff was nice. Bring your sunscreen or an umbrella and water. I found the buyers nice and friendly. Taking off one star because (1) they do not enforce the no pets/dogs policy (felt more sorry for the dogs out on hot concrete. I would also be concerned if they were refused entry with their dog the dumb owners would leave them in their car), and (2) they could use more trash cans and directions/exit signs.

There are lots of bathrooms. There is food. There is a parking lot. I can tell you that later in the day it's going to be hard to get parking. There will be a super long line to get in there. So we don't go very often but it's fine. You could spend like three or four hours walking through the whole place. The vendors are super friendly. With hundreds of birth comes tons of selection and the value is pretty good. You can get good deals.

Even knowing this it felt like I should have worn a thicker jacket. The kids and wife were freezing and we had to get them used sweaters and a blanket from vendors on site. It's a curated selection of antiques, vintage good, and clothes so it will be more expensive than traditional flea markets. They have foods on site on the right side with normal items like coffee and breakfast burritos all the way to ube waffles and fried chicken. There are some treasures here if you are willing to go digging: -Near the front was a lady that had preserved bugs that were mounted in nice displays or frozen forever in blocks of acrylic. These are locally made and some of the species I haven't seen before preserved and available for purchase. -Seaglass and antique glass merchants. Saw two of these guys and liked the odd rainbow patina for glass that has spent decades in ocean water. -Japanese wood medicine boxes, these were decorated with old stickers and looked so good for storing items. They were 40-70 each and were priced well below market value.

There are also specialty vendors like artisan goods, and food. I always find really good records from Glenn, and beautiful Nepalese clothes from other sellers. Hunting through tables overflowing with vintage finds, textiles, pottery, jewelry, and home goods, plus the sport of bargaining with vendors. The French Market Marin takes place on the second Sunday of each month at the Civic Center in San Rafael. Some prices felt too high, but it's free to attend, worth a visit and there were still finds. Parking is also free and plentiful. I found unique vintage silver jewelry at fair prices, and several sellers had priced to sell, or were willing to negotiate. We skipped food stalls, but overall this is a fun outdoor Sunday outing, with shopping, food and even musicians, reminiscent of French vintage outdoor markets, with layers of items set out on tables & sometimes too high prices.

What a cool market!…read more I stopped by Oakland Vintage Market last month to check out Pour Up Coffee's pop up. And y'all, I came for the coffee and stayed for all the gems! (The coffee was really good though, don't miss out on them either). The Market is located near Jack London Square, behind the building that houses Narrative Home Goods. There's plenty of parking around, you may just have to walk a block or so. It's also dog friendly event so feel free to bring your friendly dogs with you! The Market is outdoors with lots of vendors selling everything from clothes to books to kitchen items, etc. If you like finding unique, vintage items that you won't find anywhere else, this is the place for you! Come with something in mind that you're searching for or let the market tell you what you need. And plan to spend some time here! If you really wanted to, you could spend a couple of hours just exploring and enjoying checking out all the different items the vendors have on sale. We walked away with some coffee table books that used to belong to the Chabot College library. All the vendors were super nice and welcoming. Great energy and great vibes all around.

I grew up coming here with my parents and siblings and I remember how busy and full of life it use to be. So I wanted to have one last run here. This time I came with my own family, hubby, kids and had some of the food I had enjoyed in the past. Some of old stands are gone but they do still have a good amount of food options. Food review wise see below... Bbq ribs plate 8/10 Bbq chicken plate 7/10 Cheeseburger 6/10 (had some hard chewy pieces) Corndog 5/10 Fries 8/10 Agua frescas 9/10 but pricey at $9 each when you get 5x of them LOL. Took one pic of the cheeseburger but everyone else dug into their plates before I could take more food pics. Anyways we enjoyed it, had some decent eats and played at the arcade for a bit. Sad to see an old tradition die :(

When we asked workers can they direct us to like 2nd hand items, rummage or garage sale stuff, they couldn't direct us to resaleable items either. It makes you wonder how much are they charging their vendors. We are looking for second hand items, antiques and vintage clothing at low bargain prices. DON'T SPEND YOUR MONEY!!! It's not a place were merchants can sell second hand items. Go to Capital Flea Market Saturday and Sunday instead, parking is free, and $2.50 a person.

Excellent Service from Dan!…read more I had a wonderful experience at The Galt Flea Market today. After buying some sweet potatoes, I completely forgot where I had parked my car. I walked around several times trying to find it, and it was especially difficult because it was around noon and very hot outside. Then Dan, one of the market staff members, drove by in a golf cart and kindly asked if I needed help. He invited me to get in and spent the time driving around with me to help locate my car. Thanks to his patience and kindness, we finally found it! I offered him a tip to show my appreciation, but he politely refused. That really touched me. Thank you so much, Dan, for your kindness, patience, and dedication to your job. You went above and beyond to help a customer, even in the heat, and I truly appreciate it. Came here with my friend for some party supplies and it did not disappoint. I was able to find the…read morecontainers I needed for my son's party coming up, and for a great price too! This place is about 2 miles long if you walk every isle! A good place to put in some steps! We walked about 3 rows before we decided to have lunch. We got a plate from Lee's Chinese food and omg yum! I love the chowmein noodles and the bbq red chicken on a stick! So flavorful! I also got a cup of orange aqua Fresca.. sorry forgot name of business but everyone that knows galt flea market knows what I'm talking about. Great value! The Chinese food plate was $10 and the orange aqua Fresca was $7 for a medium cup. Everything was great and I found what I needed. Only thing was today was super hot! Definitely lost some pounds from the heat LOL
