My friends and I went to see the Spin Doctors for the first week of the Arts Festival. The stage and grass area is very nice. They even have wooden and iron benches in the back that you can sit on and still see. People also brought blankets and chairs to the concert. There are a few play areas for kids that are very nice. There were a bunch of kids playing there and they looked very happy. You get some great city and Northside views from there too. It was right in the heart of the Arts Fest on the bridge which was nice.

The guest rooms were very clean beautifully appointed with period furniture and a super comfy bed. Breakfast was a multicourse daily feast prepared by Dennis (best eggs!) and Rosemary from locally sourced foods and fresh from the oven muffins baked daily by Rosemary. Dennis and Rosemary join us daily for breakfast where we had lively conversation on an arrange of topics, best being Dennis's extensive knowledge of historic Ambridge and the Harmony Society. The best part of our stay was meeting Dennis and Rosemary. They have created an environment that made us feel as if we were staying with family. A large comfy bed, flat screen HDTV with Premium sports and movie channels, a kitchen with all the amenities from Oven to Spatula, a full bathroom, and a small dining /work table. The suites are housed in a turn of the century victorian house converted into apartments and conveniently located off bus lines to Downtown. The best thing is supermarkets and bars are nearby, all which Robert gives you maps and descriptions of. Got Laundry? no problem, the suites have their own laundry room and each room has an ironing board, laundry basket, and iron. It's home away from home.

I got to the hotel around 10AM to check in and the room wasn't ready, which wasn't a problem. I…read morejust worked from the lobby for a couple of hours and then asked if the room was ready, which is was. The lady checking me in was friendly, but didn't seem to care about status as she made no mention of it, which isn't a problem, but she also told me it would cost $50 to check in early. I let her know I was Titanium and she said it didn't matter, they charge this no matter status. I've heard that there was a charge for early check in at other Marriott locations, but not if you're Platinum or higher. Anyway, they upgraded me using suite night rewards, which it's rare for me to be able to actually get, so this was nice to have. The corner king suite I got was really nice looking with beautiful views of the stadium and river. The bathroom is huge too, plenty of room throughout the entire room to spread out! The only issues with the room were they give those small, half size bottles of water in the room and there wasn't too many USB/AC outlets within the room; in fact, the desk area only had a single wall outlet available and nothing else - not very tech-friendly room. The bathroom I had offered a separate shower which was huge, a water closet, and a large soaker tub. Shower worked great and they offered nicely scented hand soap, gel, and shampoo. An issue I experienced in the bathroom was being in the water closet too long and the lights shutting off... in my situation, since I was alone, I never closed the door when in their, but if I was with someone else, the room light sensor is in the main bathroom, near the entry to the bathroom with no switches at all in the water closet. So if the door was closed, you'd be in a dark room in a few minutes when the light decide to shut off - this is a crazy thing for them to overlook when designing the room! On the 14th floor they have their concierge level with lounge. The lounge was only open in the mornings, I think from 6:30AM to around 10AM and they only do breakfast service, but it is a full breakfast with decent looking scrambled eggs, bacon, sausage, scones/muffins, breads, juices, fruits, and coffee. I went each morning and got coffee and yogurt. The attendant was friendly. A few times each evening they do some really silly, odd, and annoyingly loud music and light show in the lobby area. They do a light show and crank up the music and it's all choregraphed. The quality of the audio system is terrible, so this light show sounds like it's coming from a 1980's boombox - silly. It was annoying to our group each time and from looking around at others who were also there for business, they weren't impressed either. The common areas of the hotel are grand and gorgeous! The white marble everywhere is stunning too. Definitely a beautiful and historic property! Valet was very friendly, all of them were! They greeted us each time we came through, as well as opened the door to the hotel. The staff was very friendly, the place is beautiful. I'd definitely return here... Nice place to stay!

we recently stayed at the Atterbury for a wedding. we were 2 couples in a double queen room with a…read morefantastic view of the bridge! at first glance, the hotel is stunning, and the room was spacious! however, we very quickly discovered it's gaping flaws at $400/night. our bathroom door was a pocket door and it did. not. close. I repeat, we were 2 couples sharing a room, and there was no surety of privacy in the bathroom. our front door... neither closed, nor opened. hotel doors usually close completely on their own. not this one! you had to force it shut every time, and then... sometimes it wouldn't open from the outside. 2 of us (ladies) had to ask a male stranger staying across from us to help force our door open; the other 2 (men) were fortunate to only struggle when someone was on the inside and able to open it from the inside. there was a hole in the wall where the fire sprinkler was. and the wedding food was easily the worst we've ever had - dry as sand, not a pinch of seasoning (not even salt). hilariously bad. $400 (or so) per night?! laughable.
