Hey friends! A coworker and I shared this hotel as we were both in town working the NFL Draft. Cranberry is a suburb right outside of Pittsburgh. We had only about a 25 minute drive to the stadium which was perfect. Check-in/check-out: Check in and out was easy and seamless. Customer service was excellent. Both employees were very friendly. The room: Very spacious. TV is Huge! Beds were comfy. Bathroom was fully stocked with essentials. One downside is I feel there was not enough lighting, especially near the mirror. Amenities: A small pool and gym onsite. A bistro and Starbucks pop-up are onsite(they don't serve Matcha lol.) A very large lobby with computers, plenty cozy seating and large TVs. They also feature an outdoor patio area with a grill. This hotel is walking distance to a small shopping center with plenty food options, a coffee shop, a nail shop & more! There's also a Target, Marshall's and Dick's Sporting close by, probably easier driving. I would definitely re-book! I hope you enjoy! read more

Clean hotel, great staff service, decent bedding, dog friendly. We stayed here over thanksgiving break and we're here 4 days. We had our dogs with us so we didn't take the privacy sign off the door, we didn't want them to come and be afraid of the dogs. We had a hard time getting housekeeping and new towels one night we called and no one came. Only downfall of the place, the in house restaurant is not that great. Could use an overhaul for food quality. read more

Easily one of the cleanest and most comfortable stays I've had in a while. Whole lobby smells fresh... staff were friendly and smiling. Free parking. I stayed at this property in April 2030, and had a few issues, but thought I would give it another try. The General Manager's response to my prior review asked that I "offer us another chance to truly win you over." I did and unfortunately, it did not go well. The good. The hotel is in a great location, easily accessible from Interstate 79, and located next to plenty of restaurants and shopping areas. Mobile check-in was a breeze, the mobile key worked great, complimentary parking, and the member's lounge (and the gentleman responsible for its upkeep) were fantastic. The first thing I do when checking in is inspect the room for cleanliness. The last time I stayed here the metal strip located in the shower was filthy. Once again, I checked this same area and it was nastier than the last time I stayed. I wiped a small area and the washcloth ended up black. I am sorry but I do not want to stand in a shower with the filth of all the room occupants that came before me. I took the strip with me to the front desk when I went to ask for another room. I also asked to speak with the manager since this cleanliness issue appears to be a trend. While the AGM 'said' all the right things, his demeanor and body language clearly conveyed he did not care and had more pressing things to worry about. He did state that this situation was an anomaly. They offered me another room and asked that I wait while housekeeping went and gave it an extra cleaning. After 20 minutes I went to the new room and discovered the exact same problem, filthy grill plate, so much for this being an anomaly. I returned to the front desk and the staff member stated she had sent me to the wrong room and gave me the key to a third room. This room was spotless. I would like to commend the staff member working the front desk. Throughout the entire ordeal, she repeatedly expressed empathy, apologized for the situation, and showed genuine concern for resolving the situation. Her actions were what I would have expected from the AGM. Full disclosure, they both offered comps which I declined. What I wanted was to check in to a comfortable and clean room...not extra bonus points. Two stays and two bad experiences. I had business in the area and stayed here one night... This was a nice Marriott, probably one of the nicest I've stayed in over the many times I've visited this area of Pittsburgh and Allegheny County. Checking in was smooth. The room looked decent and felt nice and was clean too. The TV worked well. Shower was decent. The property is nicely maintained and the M Club (the concierge lounge) was the best I've experienced in many years with full meals for breakfast and dinner, as well as nice desserts! The staff were all dressed in business clothes, nothing casual and there was an abundance of staff. The gym was in great working order and very clean, so was the pool. Exterior was clean and beautiful with nice landscaping (even saw someone watering the flowers when I pulled up). Location is great, as it's right off of the highway and there are a lot of nice restaurants in the area, several restaurants are mid-to-high end. There's also a decent restaurant and bar on property called River City Grille. I'll definitely use this hotel as much as I can in the future... It's much better than the Marriott Pittsburgh Airport, but it's also about 25 mins north of that property. I'll be back! read more

Older Marriott (probably remodeled at least once) but comfortable stay. Located about 30 min north of Pittsburgh and one of the few decent hotels in the small city (town?) of Cranberry. However, hotel is very easy to get to from the interstate, and plenty of free parking (though the hotel can get pretty full). Humongous lobby and decent size lobby (with a bar that has been fairly busy on the weekdays). Check in was fairly quick and efficient, and very nice agents. Club lounge is on first floor, very well stocked, and a great breakfast. Highly recommended. Not a tall hotel so won't wait too long for elevators, rooms are modern enough, comfortable, and spacious. Plenty of room to sprawl, place luggage, watch TV, etc. Bathrooms are also decent size. Beds are typical Marriott comfy, no issues there. Not much of a view, but windows are decent size. Wi-fi worked well, Gym is a good size with well functioning equipment. Pool is huge, though never used. Recommended stay! read more

Everything you'd expect from a suburban Marriott. Great Marriott service, but with lots of parking and close to a multitude of dining and entertainment options. In the winter you might want to call ahead to avoid the youth hockey tournaments at the arena across the highway. The level of noise and activity didn't bother my wife and I, but might be annoying to some people. read more

Hotel is a typical Marriott (good thing)... However, it's LOUD!!! Room above me was dropping things on floor and I was amazed how loud it was in my room. Seems to have "thin walls" you would find in cheaper hotels. Just a glass sliding door for bathroom also so going to bathroom at night wakes up anyone still in bed. I'm a regular visitor due to work. This is a clean hotel with incredibly comfortable beds and pillows. I have two minor complaints. The rooms don't have microwaves and the mobile keys are inconsistent (especially with the exterior side doors). Stay away from this hotel! Had a reservation for weeks and checked in on the app. Check in in was confirmed and mobile key provided. Arrived at the hotel and was told they cancelled my reservation. (Apparently this has happened on more than one occasion that they overbooked). Front Desk manager just said it wasn't her fault and that even though I checked in; that didn't mean I had a room. I've been traveling for years and every time I've checked in, I had a room. She then proceeded to check in two people after me. I have been a loyal Marriott supporter for years. Marriott loyalty clearly means nothing and conveniently the general manager, Gary Gray was no longer there for the day. Awful customer service! I will now be a loyal Hilton customer! read more

Was here for a work conference and had a great 2 night stay here. There is a bar/restaurant on site that is pretty good. Down fall is that it doesn't open until 5pm. The staff was friendly and they have the fastest elevators I've ever seen. read more

We were moving to the area from California and stayed in 2 of their rooms for 3 days at $150 a night. Super clean and super friendly staff with breakfast from 6:00 to 9:00. Plenty of restaurants and shopping within a mile with easy access to highways. Directly across from the Penguins training facilities. Our rooms were the mini suites each had 2 queen size beds and the pool is heated. I highly recommend staying here and will be back. read more

They didn't even have a bandaid - what front desk doesn't have a band aid ? Strange place all around. This hotel has a lot of promise, but the false ads with these major hotel chains are getting old. I booked a room and paid extra for the club access which is supposed to include food. I show up and they say it's closed for COVID. This is where I draw the line on these COVID excuses which in reality is just Marriott cheating it's customers. Why would you allow someone to pay extra for club access when you know you can't give it to them because of "covid"? Just take the option off the website. And of course no refund. How ridiculous. Second, since you didn't offer food so I asked if you had pantry services, also a no because of... you guessed it, "covid" again. What a joke. I then decided well maybe they have vending machines. The only ones they have are located on level 1. The one that works only takes cash and sometimes doesn't give you what you pressed in. The second one takes credit cards but was out of order. I'm not sure I'll ever look at Marriott the same again. I'm actually thinking of just filing a lawsuit against them for false advertising. Don't advertise a service you know you can't or don't want to offer because of "covid". And be real, the only reason you don't offer it is because you're cheating your customers out of money and not providing a service, it has nothing to do with COVID. Many restaurants are open in PA. This is no longer and should never have been used as an excuse to screw customers. read more

This hotel is in desperate need of an update, which is in the process. The rooms are old and stale, and the beds hurt my back something fierce! Sadly, to add to the rough experience, the day we arrived the entire 2nd floor smelled of cigarette smoke. I also wish hotels would train their staff that single women travelers should NOT be put at the end of a hall next to the exit stairs, and should be discreet while checking in a single traveler, not announcing names loudly or the room #. All of that said, the amenities at the hotel are superb, as you would expect from a full service Marriot. read more

The location is central and the hotel itself it's nice but it is not a full service hotel. A full service hotel has room service and at least a decent bar. Do not stay here if you are looking for the amenities of a nice hotel. This is a step below. I would prefer a residence inn to this location any day as the amenities that are supposed to come with a "hotel" are lacking. read more

On June 10, 2021 My wife and I checked in to Pittsburgh Marriott North in Cranberry, Twp. PA. Our experience during our stay was abysmal. The PA governor had already declared that all hotel services could be resumed in PA following the pandemic. Before flying to Pittsburgh I called the hotel to make sure that the dining room was open and offered a full breakfast. I was assured that it was. When we went down for breakfast we were greeted with a sign that said that on Saturdays and Sundays their only offering was a "buffet breakfast". We were seated and directed to a buffet which featured cold scrambled eggs, hard and overly done sausages, a pile of bacon which raised up  in one piece when a single slice was picked up. There were also potatoes and oatmeal.  When we sat down we confirmed that all of the "hot" foods were little more than room temperature. The meal was essentially not edible. Now there are many mid-ranged hotels and motels and even some two star places that offer a buffet breakfast (in their lobby) that are far better than what we were served at the Marriott. Other hotel amenities were lacking as well. When I called the front desk and requested fresh towels  I was told that they would be "right up". Three hours later there were no towels (5:00 PM).  It turned out that the hotel was not offering room cleaning or even bed making services. There was no mention of these lack of services when we booked (thru Marriott) nor when we checked in. We did not complain until checking out when we were asked how our 'stay' was. I told the young woman at the front desk everything I mentioned above. NOTE TO MARRIOTT: It is far better to not open at all than to open in such a third-rate way. Now when I think of Marriott or their dining room this experience is burned in my brain. We have shared our experience with others. I'll not forget my image of Marriott Hotels. read more

We stayed the night at this property the day after Christmas and were very pleased with the service. Alan checked us in at the front desk close to 10pm and was working again the following morning when we checked out. He was just as friendly/helpful in the morning as the night before - even after coming back to work less than 12 hours later. As a former Marriott employee and the first employee of the month at my old resort property, I can tell you that he absolutely represents Marriott well and made our experience at this property enjoyable. The rest of the staff was friendly as well. The young guy at the hotel Starbucks was funny and the server/host at the restaurant was great too! He hooked us up with an extra to-go box for the breakfast buffet, so we only had to pay for 1 breakfast! Oh, and the strawberries were really fresh! Eggs kind of sucked though, but most breakfast buffet eggs suck anyway. The room was very clean, the beds were comfortable, and the room service was fast too. I'm not a fan of the room rates (at any hotel/motel) in the Cranberry area. Just like in the D.C. area, they go up way too much during the work week rather than on the weekends like resort properties. The prices at this property and many others in the area can be too high during the week. There is virtually no business travel around the holidays, so we only had to pay $109 for the night though! 5 star rating from me thanks to the great attitudes and service!! read more

This is a very nice Marriott. It has the traditional Marriott feel in design and layout. However, the bathroom in my room was recently updated and was beautiful, bright, and tons of countertop space. No Bravo on the TV. Hence, the 4 stars. Concierge lounge is very nice, but a little small considering the size of the hotel. Gym is also decent, with several pieces of cardio equipment, free weights, and a cable machine. Bar is pretty nice. I ate here for lunch and also held a morning meeting here. Great service and quiet. Front desk staff was very friendly. The location was great; near the Cranberry mall and lots of shopping and businesses near by. read more

Excellent hotel; terrible value. I stayed at the Marriott in Cranberry Woods for my wedding night, and enjoyed the stay very much. I booked online for the best available room (you cannot book a suite online), but only after noting that the Jacuzzi suites were all unreserved. As I hoped, I was able to get a suite for the wedding night. Because I had booked online, I ended up paying around $200 for the night. However, if I would've booked for another night, I would've payed $450, for which I could go on Groupon and buy a whole vacation. It is for this reason that I only give the place four stars. It was clean, comfortable, and felt very modern and maintained. The complementary breakfast was excellent, and both me and my new wife enjoyed it immensely. If you are going to stay here, book online; rooms are overpriced. read more

We stayed on a recent Friday night. The front desk as kind enough to grant our request for a quiet room. We got a corner room at the very end of the hallway. Our king room was very large and very clean. We immediately opened the curtains, so we could enjoy a view of the evening skyline. We enjoyed some drinks at the hotel bar. And we pre-ordered room service breakfast for the following morning. Delivery was right on time at the 7 am, as requested. We were surprised by the quality and temperature of our meals. Our hash browns were perfectly browned and delicious. BJ loved his grilled ham slice and my bacon was very good. And our eggs was perfect. BJ's over easy and mine over well good. It was fun eating breakfast in bed. We have a great experience here. read more

We stay at Marriotts all over the country for leisure and work (titanium member). We were extremely disappointed with our group stay. The staff at the front desk were very rude to multiple individuals within our party over our two day stay. Multiple communication issues from staff. The bartender was very unpleasant both nights were at the bar area. After a wedding, we brought a large crowd (15-20 people) to the bar and it was clear he was extremely annoyed (It was a Saturday night at 1045pm). We were shocked on the poor behavior. A another note, the house keepers and servers at breakfast were wonderful and very friendly. The hotel is spotless also! read more

Pittsburgh Marriott North has clean updated rooms and across the street is everything you would need. Restaurant is good but try the grill across the street in the strip mall. This place has been my home away from home for the last 5 months and will be for another 5 months. And I have no thoughts of switching for the duration of my stay in North Pittsburgh. What can you expect if you stay here? An entirely smoke free building; spacious, clean rooms; very well trained and very attentive staff; plentiful, free parking; a large well-appointed fitness center with a pool; an in-house full service restaurant; and close proximity to other restaurants and many well-known large businesses. What I like best about this Marriott is the staff and the high level of customer service. As many times as I have stayed here, surely, somebody must have been having a bad day. But I never knew about it. And that's exactly the way it should be. Unfortunately, most businesses don't care enough to instill that kind of ethic into their culture. Marriott--the corporation--does an excellent job at this. On occasion, I've had an issue or two to deal with (hey, these things happen). The staffs always take care of it with the quickness, and with a smile. You are never made to feel as if you're a bother for expecting what you pay for. And in addition to them being problem solvers and solution providers, they always go the extra mile and send me of some sort of comp; like a free drink or extra points, just to ensure the relationship is still intact. How nice is that? To be frank, you can expect this at most Marriots, irrespective of the specific brand or city. This is because Marriott is a well-run company. Now if I can just get them to train ever other service company out there! If you happen to be in North Pittsburgh for business or pleasure, Marriott is your only option. read more

We stayed here last weekend for a wedding. The location was convenient (to restaurants, movie theatre, gas stations, highway) and easy to find. The service was great- everyone was friendly and very helpful. Our room was ready when we arrived, and while it wasn't new and fancy, it was clean and had a nice flat screen TV. The beds were okay, but they could probably use new mattresses. The room rate was reasonable. Our room was next to the elevators, so be sure to request something away from the elevators. With two weddings going on, it got loud at times. Overall, I think that this is a solid option if you're looking for a hotel in this area. read more

I stayed here last weekend for a wedding and must say I was impressed. I am a fan of all Marriott properties, but enjoy staying at the Marriott the most. This property has been very clean both times I stayed here. The lobby is open, modern and comfortable with an abundance of seating situated around a water fountain. There is also a restaurant and full bar. The staff is friendly and accommodating. There were several groups staying at the hotel. They were yelling and slamming doors. When I called the front desk to complain, security immediately went down to the room and took care of the problem. The beds are comfortable and so is the room design. There is a pool and small workout room. There is also a conference room that has been used as a wedding reception hall both times I was there. The hotel is located near many chain restaurants (ugh) and big box retailers. It's very convenient and only 30 minutes from the airport. Will go back when I am in the area. read more

I am so disappointed in this location. We always choose Marriott because of the cleanliness and their service. When we first arrived, our room was disgusting. Hair in tub, dirty floor, half an inch of dust on the tables. Called to have it cleaned, assured me It would be taken care of. Came back hours later, still hair in the tub, and sheets had a huge stain! Gross! Called and spoke with a manager, she had the room cleaned again and sent a snack care package. Room was finally clean. Staying here 6 days, was assured menu for room service had variety. It's very limited and not very good. The bathroom door is a glass sliding door! No privacy! My guest can see everything and vice versa. Ours is stuck half the time. The icing on the cake is internet is $12.95 a day!!!! That's in sane! Didn't even want to offer me complementary either. Just really disappointed with this location. The rest of the hotel is pretty filthy too, especially carpet in halls and elevators. They also put a $300 hold on a credit card for incidentals! I've never had to do that at ANY hotel. This is the first Marriott of many that we've ever seen like this. If you want to spend the money, try a Hilton up here instead. read more

I love Marriott so I expect greatness from each one I stay at. Even worse, the Irvine Marriott has me soo spoiled that the other ones have to really blow me away to get noticed. This Marriott did just that. My flight from California was super delayed so I showed up to the hotel after 1 am. Needless to say, I wasn't my shiny pretty self. The guy at the front desk was a gem and got me quickly situated and on my way. I dined in the hotel restaurant one night and they were out of what I ordered. The restaurant manager was amazing and over acommodating - made sure I got something delicious in place of the order and them comped it. Last piece that wowed me was that I received an email from the GM asking me how my stay was the SAME DAY I left. The customer service here was wonderful and I look forward to coming back. read more
