Took my VW here 3 times to get fixed, got charged a good clip each time and it got worse every time I tried to drive home.

It's going to sound like I'm complaining, but just hear me out first…read more I came into this location for oil and an oil filter for a vehicle my partner and I just recently purchased. Since I've yet to change the oil on this vehicle, I thought it would be a good idea to just have them look it up for me. Since I'm sure their system is much more reliable than some bozo's knowledge on the internet. The store associate helping, looked up the oil filter and told me to grab the oil while they grab the filter. At this point, seems pretty cut and dried. WRONG! While I was in my driveway doing my oil change like the AMERICAN I am. I attempted to screw on the filter and it seemed to be on there fairly tight. (The car sits low to the ground, so I can't see what's going on. I relied on my innate ability to navigate any situation just by touch.) Pleased with my work, I turned on my vehicle to let it run with the new oil. After looking up how to reset my maintenance light on YouTube, I peered at my dash and noticed my oil light was on. Struck with fear that my extensive YouTube knowledge degree has failed me. I turned my vehicle off and hurried to see what was going on. There it was, puddled all over my driveway as if a heinous crime was committed. The oil shot out from under my vehicle like it went out for Taco Tuesday and it was Wednesday morning. I felt defeated! How could I show my face at my family ruins as a failed American? Dedicated to taking this to my grave, I had to scrub the crime scene to ensure my partner would never find out what happened. But I never accounted for them noticing I used all the cat liter to clean up the oil. Embarrassed and ashamed, I confided in my partner about what happened. With years of Karen bred into my partner, they told me to write an angry email. But my partner didn't factor in how inpatient I am. So I called the store I bought everything at. After explaining to them what happened, they told me to come in with the receipt and they'll take care of it. Upon arrival, it was determined that I was given the wrong oil filter. Happy that the American in me could be restored. I still felt slighted. 4 quarts of brand new oil was wasted and my driveway was the only thing able to enjoy it. The associate at the store gave me four 1 quart bottles of oil at a 20% discount, which totaled to the amount of what it would cost for 5 quarts of the same oil. But they were all out of the 5 quart bottles. I decided to call the customer service line instead. After arm wrestling the customer service reps via phone. They finally sent an email out to the General Manager, District Manager, and some VP. Needlessly to say, they called me the next morning waking me up from my hibernation. Groggy and irritated from being woken up, they offered to make things right and asked me to come in when I got the chance. We lived happily ever after. The End! P.S. This review is extremely exaggerated! (OBVIOUSLY!) This is a situation I dealt with. It has been resolved by management. Employees make mistakes and so does anyone who's reads this. Stay calm, relax, and inform the proper channels of a bad experience you had. Touch grass and laugh a little. Things will be okay.
