I really wanted to like this place as it was the only restaurant in town!…read more I ordered a grilled chicken salad-pretty good and filling. My friend ordered smash burger-children's size and fries. Also pretty good. Water had such a weird taste we didn't drink it. A real turn off for me was the bathrooms were not very clean. The outfits of some staff were so sleazy...it was distracting. I think the girl in pink outfit was one of the owners wives.

We were down by Lake Tillery on a job so this was within a reasonable distance. Love the layout and decor in the restaurant. Oh, we picked a shareable for the table and spinach artichoke dip, which was a good choice to split between three people. We still have plenty of our workday left so I opted to go with the grilled salmon and a rather unique side in Mexican street corn.. for my second side I decided to add a house salad with homemade ranch dressing. The salad was a large portion to start with in the flavor of the Mexican corn in the salmon went well together. I made a great choice. The Mexican corn was three short corn on the cobs in a long dish with sauce on top of the corn. Public house is definitely the place to be in Albert mall for lunch dinner or a private event.

We went to Five Points Public house for a weekday lunch and only had to wait about 15 minutes to be seated. The food was good, the interior architecture is nice to look at, and we will be back. The restaurant is a mix of booths and tables with chairs. You can tell the building is old, but had been tastefully worked into a restaurant by the age on the exposed brick within. The whole front of the restaurant faces one of the main roads for downtown, and has large windows that bring in tons of natural light. This place is good for a date night, a group gathering, or anything in between. There's even some bar seating if that's your thing. Our table got the French dip and a make-your-own burger. The French dip was easily shared by my little and me, as the portion size was large. The build-your-own-burger comes exactly as you want it, cooked to your temperature preference, but I will say the patty could have had more seasoning on it. The onion rings are amazing, and the onion adheres perfectly to the batter. One thing I hope to be able to use in the future is the Pontiac Room, which is their second story event space. They have a nice sign that gives details about the space, and I truly believe it would be good for wedding receptions, large parties, or large group gatherings. I don't know if there is an elevator to this space, so you'd need to check on that should your group have mobility concerns. Overall, this is a place that we will bring the whole crew to in the future.

It wasn't even busy yet and they We're running around like chickens with their heads cut Off .. And the Food. Aweful !!!! Wasn't worth $50.00 . Should have stayed home and made my own steak and meatloaf .. We ordered an appetizer- never got it until they served our meal - so we sent it back - and let me tell you the About the meal .. 1- whoever the cook is - you got to go - husband ordered the meatloaf special - with mashed potatoes and green beans .... I get using instant mash potatoes but my god there are ways to jazz them up - didn't even offer butter or gravy and the green bean tasted old with no flavor and OMG the meatloaf - they serviced it in pieces... It tasted like a soggy greasy mess .. My husband had 3 bits and set it aside .. You think when the waitress saw the plate was hardly touched she would have asked if everything was all right ..NOPE I ordered their flank steak -med rare with salad and Mac cheese .. well my steak came to me medium well done .. the Mac cheese was greasy and tasteless .. The only good thing was the salad . We were so done. When I get my bill it came to $47.04 . I give her my card and when I look at my receipt she charged me $57.74 . My husband said we're typing attempting to charge us for the appetizer ?? She looked shocked because we actually caught them being slick . They corrected it we paid and we left . I happened to look at the receipt again because I wanted to make sure they didn't charge me again and noticed they literally charged me for the dressing for my salad which was part of the meal .. They need to re-think themselves their staff /cook ..
