Back…read more I recently took an Argyll jacket, (Scottish dress jacket worn with a kilt), in to have the buttons replaced. The buttons are different from a regular jacket but not that big of deal to work with. They accepted my jacket, no problem. I picked it up 3 days later and when I got home found that work was terrible. (C'mon, it's replacing buttons, not rocket science.) Some of the buttons hadn't even been replaced, while the others were drooping and hanging. These buttons have little back pieces that hold them up and keep them flush to the jacket - all of the backs were left off and given back to me in a plastic baggie. When I returned with the jacket the next day, (today), and I pointed out the mistakes and asked for them to be fixed. I was told that I would have to pay for the work again. When I questioned this the employee assisting me became agitated that would seemingly dare to question her. We went around in circles for a couple of minutes with her insisting that this was a difficult job, I was asking too much and that I would have to pay again. I firmly, but respectfully, continued to ask why I should pay again for something that they had done wrong and, if it was such a difficult job, why had they accepted it to begin with? After being called names, accused of being "aggressive" and "firm", (well, yes, I'm being firm... you just ripped me off to the tune almost $40), I was told to leave and take my business elsewhere! The lady threw up her hands and stormed away yelling that she was "done with me" and that I needed to leave. I have received poor service in the past but never in my life have been treated like trash as I was today. I am a minister in this small community and I do my best to always be polite and respectful to people - today was no exception. I was firm, as a customer wanting a business to make their mistake right, but was treated with such rudeness and apathy as I have never experienced. This was a humiliating experience. This jacket was needed for a special event, (my 40th birthday), that is now less than 4 business days away. I doubt that I will now have time to repair this awful work. Stay away from this establishment if you value respect and fair business.

It's this beautiful English netted dress but there were layers of netting, lining, and something happened during production and the front was pulling upwards when it was worn properly. I didn't want the dress to be overly edited because I wanted to sell the dress once I was done. I also couldn't get it altered at the store I bought it from because it was 5 hours away, so I found V through google and yelp. I wanted someone who is knowledgeable and experienced with special occasion dresses because it's a different beast than a traditional hem and strap adjustment. Not to mention, I had been loyal to another alteration place in the area and their quality of work had been steadily declining while their prices were increasing. V did such an excellent job. She truly understands the way a dress is supposed to flow and move when one is walking. The hemming is beautiful and clean. She addressed all my problems and the dress fit PERFECTLY. The pricing was absolutely reasonable for the amount and quality of work. She made me feel comfortable, heard, and the dress was finished in a timely manner. When I told her my issues, she showed me options and we worked from there. I am so pleased. Thank you so much.

Total for alterations would be $255. Which is more than I paid for the $199 dress. When my husband picked up the dress a mother and daughter were picking up their dress after their quote and leaving because alterations were more than their dress cost as well. I took it to another location who had less seamstresses, got the alterations I needed and even altered the slit in the leg for me too, for $75. Completed in 2 days. Also I had an appointment made for 1 o'clock and the store was closed, someone showed up at 1:22. No communication. Staffing was friendly, so 2 stars.

The two pieces I had were fairly simple: one piece, the hem partially fell out so I asked them to repair that and the second piece was a satin blouse that only needed some minimal stitching. The stitching in the satin blouse fell out 2 days later. The hem, you can tell where the tension on the sewing machine was a little too tight and doesn't match the rest of the hem. The pricing is inexpensive but, you get what you pay for.

I had already fixed the pants and told her she would not be doing any further alterations on this suit. I told her I wanted a refund on the pants and the sleeves. The waist was correct and I agreed to pay for the suspender buttons because two of the buttons were correct and she did supply all four buttons. She was obviously angry and still does not admit the work was sub-par but we were refunded $49.00-the price of the sleeves ($35) and the "hem" ($14). Again, I have seen beautiful work done by Jenny's on women's clothing. She did make right on the refund. It is a shame that it took such ado to get satisfaction from this company.
