We enjoyed our food at this restaurant & also loved the area out back that was a sweet park like area that we let our leashed dog walk around for a bit.

Planned on dinner here when we planned our Casey get away. The restaurant is beautiful and so different. Staff was warm and friendly. Lots to choose from on the menu. I went with the shrimp pasta and the salad bar. My dish was good, nice side shrimp. Salad bar was average. I ordered a martini that was very weak. My friend had the rib eye and she said it was fantastic. She also had the warm bread and she said that was amazing. Prices are a bit on the higher side.

Food was great. Tastes like home cookin. We had meatloaf with their homemade red sauce, fried chicken, "world famous" pork chop, and mashed potatoes. Salad bar and hot bar were worth the trip. Server was great and super helpful. Hostess was nice and chatted a bit while waiting for our group arrive.

This was a beautiful and cozy little restaurant family owned. The staff was pleasant, attentive and detail oriented and had good suggestions for food and drinks. If you are passing through Casey, I recommend you visit the town Casey to enjoy the art work and this great little family owned restaurant. If you are a local business and looking for a space to have a company event, please take a look. They offer private spaces and a great menu to accommodate any dietary concerns. It was a great experience with great food.

I would probably give them a 3 1/2. My wife ordered the Catfish Sandwich and it was delicious. I decided the get the Salad Bar and Hot Bar. The salad was great, but the Hot Bar was not that good. Probably because we got there a little late everything had sort of dried out. If we ever get back here I would order the Catfish and forget the Hot Bar. The service by our server was very good and she was very friendly as well.

Not only that, but the food was stellar. Here's what we tried: -Foie Gras Special: 9/10 - I just love foie gras and wow this one was cooked to perfection and the accompaniment of the cream cheese foam and the apple was amazing! I could eat it all to myself. -Denver American Wagyu 8oz: 8/10 - I did really like it, though I may have gone with Spiralis cut next time, as this was small and not as flavorful as I would've dreamed of. Decadent, of course. -Mac and Cheese: 10/10 - A perfect Mac and cheese. I don't think I could've dreamt of a better one. The flavor was outstanding, the pasta was al dente, and the cheese was just soooo gooey. It was addictive. -Truffle Butter Mashed Potatoes: 7/10 - While these were good, they had no truffle butter taste to them at all. In fact, we wondered if it had been mistakenly marked as truffle butter, but apparently it was correct. -Korean Corn: 8/10 - Cheesy, gochujang-ey, yummy. It's kind of like a Korean elote, so I'm not mad at all. -Gooey Butter Cake: 9/10 - I really don't know how to describe this other than sweet and yummy. It was also soft inside, which paired well with the crispier crust. -Chocolate Decadence: 10/10 - This just melted in my mouth. It was gooey and delicious and dark and rich and WOW. It's like the pudgiest brownie you'll ever eat. Overall, well impressed!

Left standing on the sidewalk, we called J. Fords Black Angus where their host greeted the situation and circumstance with grace and determination. Come on down, she noted, we will take care of you! What we got was exactly what the evening deserved. Hostess Hope greeted us warmly and got our party of eight seated without missing a beat, even though we showed up unannounced and a little frazzled. Our server, Brian, was fantastic from the first minute -- attentive, funny, genuinely engaged with our group, and clearly happy to be part of the celebration once he found out what the night was about. He made a point of wishing my parents a happy anniversary himself, and the whole team's warmth turned what could have been a sour night into one of the best memories of our trip. The food was excellent across the board -- exactly what you want from a Black Angus steakhouse. But honestly, it was the people who made the night. After being treated like an inconvenience an hour earlier, walking into J. Fords and being treated like honored guests meant more than they probably realized. If you're in Terre Haute and want a restaurant that actually understands hospitality -- not just food on a plate, but the kind of service that makes a celebration feel like a celebration -- go to J. Fords. Ask for Hope and Brian if you can. They turned our night around completely, and we are so grateful. Thank you, J. Fords, for taking such good care of our family on a night that mattered.

There was a lot of things on the menu I would be excited to try. We got there on the anniversary so there were 3 Christmas themed drinks that were $4 each which was a great deal. The moscato punch was great! As an appetizer we got the JB's béchamel Boats. These were basically a little fancier potatoe skins. They were very good. It came with 4 of them and the Bechamel sauce did make them special. I got the Norwegian Salmon which was honey glazed. It was good. I would recommend. I wish it was more charred on the edges. I got the mashed potatoes and the garlic Parmesan broccoli. If you like garlic, you will love the broccoli. It was really flavorful! You get a ton of mashed potatoes and they were good. My boyfriend got surf and turf. A filet mignon and scallops. He got two scallops and they were both wrapped in bacon. It thought they were smaller than what he was expecting. The steak he thought was good as well and the French onion soup he got as a side. As dessert we got the chocolate lava cake and the bread pudding. Both were really good! The atmosphere is decently fancy with waiters dressed in nice clothing and nice table clothes on all the tables. Definitely a good vibe. I would go again but would try other entrees.

We ate here two times while staying in town on an extended business trip. On the first visit, I chose the steak from the "Two for" menu. While cooked to the correct temperature, the steak was a bit tough and lacked flavor. The baked potato was OK, and the bread pudding was delicious for dessert! I chose the pork chop on the second visit. It was excellent. The lettuce wedge salad was very tasty, too! On both occasions, the staff was friendly and provided excellent service.

Scanning the food places we picked this because it seemed to have decent ratings and a lot of reviews. Plus, you get go wrong with good ol' American cuisine. The first kind of hiccup is that they must have recently moved building. Though they moved right next to their existing building, there was no signage and we had to rely on our own eyeballs. Which almost led us into the wrong building. Not a bid deal, realistically, but it threw us for a loop. Getting inside, it was super clean. Long bar, plenty of tables, modern, many tvs for many sports. Plus, the building itself seemed rather large. A chonker of a building, if you ask me. Our hostess brought us into what seemed like the back 40 of the building and seated us next to a garage door that overlooked a cement pad that will one day be a cement pad with things on it. Not even mad. Saw a train. Here's the money shot. Have you ever been happy adjacent? Have you ever been right up to the edge, the precipice, the peak, then turn around and leave? That was kind of the ideal feeling here. The ambiance and service and general-ness of the entire place was spot on. The food itself looked top-tier. But it felt a click away from perfection. Let's look into it. As a hefty man (fat, not the garbage bag brand), I'm a man of appetizers. Also of wings. Therefore, sign me up for 12 bone in wings for an app. Split into three flavors: Carolina BBQ, Buffalo, and regular BBQ. They came out looking and smelling delicious. The sauce flavors hit hard. But I was a little let down with the dryness of the wings. I know sometimes it can be difficult to knock a wing out of the park because those damn things just want to get crispy. But I don't want to fight chewing the meat off the bone. It felt like a battle me and my mush mouth would lose. Now, from what I understood, all sides were a la cart. Color me fine with that, fatty will order anyways. Especially since I saw they offered street corn AND hushpuppies. So naturally, that's what I ordered. The hushpuppies came out and were the round kind. Which I am no stranger to. They had good flavor, good done-ness, but missed the mark on the size. If they were hush people, they would have been premies. A little sad they didn't get to experience their full potential. Now, for this part I will say I was forewarned. My server did mention the street corn came in a bowl and was served cold. I thought I was better than somebody who judged street corn by its temperature. I was wrong. It did come cold. And because of that, it was not tasty. Missed the mark completely. I did get a bonus side, your typical, run of the mill French fry. They came out and looked great. Meadiu

It has been converted into a restaurant and vineyard. The restaurant captures the quaint hospitality and formal stature of the home. Andrew's is country cuisine for button-down shirt occasions. Beautiful dining rooms, fireplaces, spacious and clean restrooms. This restaurant is completely functional. Steak vealie for the appetizer. Large portion enough for four. Rich, creamy flavor to the cheese sauce, without the tart that can come from a blue cheese sauce. Just perfect. Bread was also perfect, a multigrain with a white. So often the crusts will be uninvitingly tough. Andrew's has a wonderful texture that complements a spread or sauce. Had the "famous" herb & cheese fillet of beef, accompanied by the roasted potatoes and zucchini mixed veg. Meat was cooked perfectly, able to cut with a butter knife. Potatoes were flavorful and fluffy, and the zucchini veg had strong, wonderful flavors that worked very well with the rest of the dish. Thousand leaves pastry for dessert (similar to a napoleon, but larger). A sweet and large dessert with bold vanilla flavor. Yes, they serve their own wines, a red and a white. The white begins like a Riesling, but takes a sharp, fruity bend and dries. The red is slightly dry and a good complement to their meat dishes. Very impressed by Andrew's, although pricey, it is an excellent place, and they provide the ambiance and experience one expects with a premium price. More critically, the potatoes were slightly inconsistent, a few not appearing their freshest. And the menu is very tame. Although all the bases are touched, nothing new is going to reveal itself on the menu, a reflection of the simplicity and tastes of rural downstate Illinois, and that is something worth appreciating. But, what about a vegetarian entree? Just a thought. The best of Illinois fine country cooking is presented at Andrew's. I really love this place, and would be proud to take my friends here to dinner. Strongly recommend reservations.

The building itself is over a 100 years old and is on the National Register of Historic Places, this helps its cool vibe. We came in at 12:30 on a December Thursday, it was absolutely packed, what appeared to be multiple team/holiday gatherings. We were told a 20 minute wait, but we eventually were able to find a seat at the bar in less time. With as busy as it was, I was concerned food coming out may be impacted, but it came out quick. Allie was our bar tender, she was very friendly and attentive, shout out to her. First I started with a local beer, wango tango. I would call it a hazy pale ale. It was perfect for me. Had grilled shishito peppers. It was my first time to ever eat one, I loved them. I enjoyed them better without the sauce, but the wasabi Mayo did provide a nice kick. I ate the fried wontons with the sauce. We shared the crab Rangoon flatbread. It did not disappoint, and had a healthy serving size. I would get it again and again! Then I went with a comfort food, fried bologna sandwich. It came with a side, but the sandwhich alone was enough. I added a close pic of the sandwich, it had two thick cut pieces of meat. Impressive. It came with melted cheese, that was a twist for me, but I wanted to try it the way it was on the menu first. I eventually added ketchup, lol. We now have a new place to stop as we're passing by on 70. If I lived closer, i definitely would be a regular!!!
