I'm looking at the front door while sitting in my vehicle.

Yes, 5 Stars!!! Barry, the owner, and David, one of his best employees he has had over the years, will always make you feel welcome, even if you are a jerk like me and just "drop-in".... Recently (early August 2015) my wife purchased new "cheap" (no, they were really CHEAP) tires from a major national chain retailer who won't be named (tramlaw) but they sell clothes, groceries, and other cheap stuff from China..... (and Chinese friends, don't be "offended" my wife is Chinese, from Beijing, and she tells me all the time that a lot of stuff is "cheap".) Okay, anyways, on to the gist of what happened - my wife went back to that retailer 4 times to get those CHEAP tires re-balanced.... Finally, they refused to exchange the tires, they said her car's alignment must be "off" and for her to get her car realigned! WTF.... So, I told her to drop in on Barry, and see if he had time to re-balance the tires and check the Alignment on her car. She did, and Barry squeezed her in to his busy schedule, got her car's tires re-balanced, and checked the alignment - which for practical purposes was not "out" of alignment. Sure, he made a few minor tweaks - but he told me that those tweaks were not significant enough to caused the tire balance problems that Walmart's (oops, name slipped) Auto Techs were telling my wife was the problem!!! Barry was my wife's HERO!!! No, I'm not jealous.... yet. Seriously, Barry did an excellent job fixing the balance on those Cheap-ass'd tires - the very next day, my wife and I took off on a road trip to Eureka California (you've probably seen my reviews and check ins) and those tires were smooth as "butter" and stayed smooth, and as of this writing 2 weeks later - they are still smooth!!! Moral of the Story..... Barry will be helping us buy our next set of tires - yes, he can do that! But, if you have already purchased some CHEAP tires that are bugging you, go see Barry!!! Smooth Sailin' ~ Eric

Great place, Dave and Barry are both honest mechanics. They won't sell you what you don't need.

I've brought a 2012 Lexus to them a couple of times over the past 12 months. The first time I…read moreasked them to take a "once over" to see what needs to be worked on, if anything. They were extremely honest and advised that the car was in great condition. The brake rotors will eventually need to be refinished due to slight warping, but it was nothing pressing. All that was needed was an oil change and fluid top offs, which they took care of at a very reasonable price. I brought the car in again recently for an oil change. Quick and easy and inexpensive service. Although I've only used their services twice, I opine they are quite trustworthy.

If you want the best for your car, Auto Logic in San Bruno is the way to go…read more For a lot of people like me, it's the ONLY way. Me? Repeat customer for life. The deets: I have a 1999 NB Mazda Miata with a rebuilt engine, but your mileage may vary. Let me start off this review by saying, good "Mom and Pop" mechanics and support staff are hard to find. To wit: PR Motorsports in Hayward closed a few years ago because the main and only mechanic had "an offer he couldn't refuse." When Mr. Mazda changed owners due to unforseen circumstances, well, I'll stop short there. What Auto Logic delivers is a world-class auto experience in every category: Customer Service, Communication, Attention to Detail, Value, Service and All-Around "Good Karma" vibe. My auto service need was fixing a leaky engine (from the aforementioned rebuild) that was LONG overdue. After an initial assesment, the estimate was up to a 2-day job and co$t wise, ended just being a little "teensy weensy" over the initial estimate price. I didn't care, because the constant calls to my cell phone regarding updates eased my concern. Timewise, the job took just a little over one day. That's it really. Only to say that I forgot how beautiful the drive is on H280 to and from my locale in the South Bay.

I went there today for the first time, and had a terrible experience…read more I arrived. There was one car ahead of me and asked if they were available to do my car today. He said it would be about 20 minutes.. Then I noticed a sign on the building showing cash, Venmo Zelle and other forms of payment besides credit card so I asked the attendant if they accept credit card to which and he gave me a very rude response. I thought about leaving, but was already there so waited. When it was my turn I moved my car into the directed space and asked the worker some questions to which he said he couldn't answer. I apologize for asking so many questions and explain to him that this was my first time needing to get my car smog so I was u aware of how it worked etc. He asked for the envelope that I was holding in my hand, and I handed it to him, which had my form for the DMV for this service and my husband Husband had stuck a coupon and there for another small place in case I had decided to go there. He kind of threw the other coupon at me telling me that that doesn't belong to him, and there was also a receipt I guess in the envelope from our Gardener that he also kind of shoved at me. I'm not sure why these two items in the envelope upset him so much since the envelope was mine to begin with, but it set him off and I was sent away to get my smog check elsewhere. I asked why he was giving me such a hard time and he wouldn't even answer me just told me to go somewhere else and said some unfriendly choice words towards me. The whole interaction was very strange and awkward. I'm not even sure exactly what happened to set him off. I can't help but think that me being female had something to do with it. I will never be back here nor will I ever recommend anyone to go there. It was the strangest and worst customer service I've ever experienced in my life.

Fantastic Experience with Older Car at Burlingame Smog!…read more This place is great, and their technician, Manny, is the best! Very highly recommended in every way, don't be put off if the phone call takes a few attempts. My old 1994 Dodge Intrepid had failed smog at a place in San Francisco. I took action to remedy the problem, ran fuel cleaner through it, changed the oil, put lower octane gas in it and replaced the spark plugs myself, making sure to gap each one very carefully. On the retest in San Francisco, the guy was continuously distracted and let my car idle for nearly an hour before doing the test. The car failed on the first low-speed test because the intake was too full of gasoline from idling too long, but it was fine on the high speed test which made me suspicious of the initial low speed run coming off of a long period of idling. I'm never going back to that place. Because I was raised in Burlingame, I decided to find a place here to do the smog test. A quick search turned up Burlingame Smog. The Yelp reviews looked good, so I called them up. Don't be dismayed if the phone doesn't pick up on the first try, this is a small shop, and Manny has to do double and triple duty. On my second call, it rang for quite a while, and then I noticed that Manny was calling me back while I was still on call waiting. When I arrived, everything was great. Manny was very friendly, and right off the bat, I could tell he was sharp. He immediately noticed my worn engine mounts and the very old rear tires that needed replacing (I had already ordered some). He even pointed out some signs of arcing around my spark plug wires where I had reinstalled them. Turns out Manny is also a mechanic and really knows what he's talking about! And, he cares! I told Manny about my experience in San Francisco--how the car had idled too long before the test--and he agreed that could have been the problem. He was very careful to make sure my car was properly warmed up and that any accumulated moisture/gas in the tailpipe was expelled before the test. Manny studied the results of my last three smog tests and knew exactly what to do to make sure my HC levels passed. To say he knows what he's doing is an understatement and he's a very nice guy! This was my best smog testing experience ever! Very highly recommended in every way, don't be put off if the phone call takes a few attempts. It's well worth the effort! Also worth every penny of the price, a bit higher than most, but well worth it for the professionalism and results!
