1/5 Unfortunately,…read moremy experience with Restaurant Realty Company has been extremely disappointing. As a small restaurant owner, I hired them expecting professional representation, communication, and an active effort to find a buyer. Instead, communication became one of the biggest problems. I repeatedly had to email and call both my listing agent and the company multiple times just to get a response or an update. There were long periods where I felt like I had no idea what was happening with my own listing. During my time working with them, I did not receive a single serious buyer/client for my restaurant. What I did receive were repeated conversations about lowering the asking price. I completely understand that market conditions matter and that no broker can guarantee a sale, but simply continuing to reduce the price is not what I expected when hiring a professional restaurant brokerage. For me, the most frustrating part was having to chase the people I hired to represent me. Even if a business doesn't sell, the owner should still receive consistent communication, feedback, updates on buyer activity, and a clear explanation of what is being done to market the business. If you own a small restaurant and are considering using this company, I strongly recommend asking exactly what they will do to market your business, how often they will communicate with you, how many similar restaurants they have actually sold, and what their strategy will be if the listing doesn't generate inquiries. Based on my personal experience, I would not work with Restaurant Realty Company again.

They arranged for a plumber to come the next day and coordinated a time when I could be home. They also followed up to check whether there was any remaining moisture in the cabinet. It was a fairly ordinary repair, but I appreciated that I didn't have to keep chasing someone to get it finished

I would give zero stars if I could. I dealt with Renee and Nick for the "murder home" in San…read moreFrancisco. One day the lore behind this home will make itself into a true crime documentary, but that's just a minor detail of how unethical Nick and Renee are. Due to the history of the landlord being incarcerated and awaiting trial for allegedly murdering the previous tenant, I wanted some protections added to the lease that I paid $200 for them to draft: 1) No contact with the landlord or his family (home was now in a family trust overseen by his wife and children), and only communicating through the management company. 2) Remove the clause about the landlord being allowed to have surveillance in the common areas. Nick said these were no problem and he would send them to his team to add. The next morning I received the addendum and approved. He said I would receive the lease in the morning. The morning came and no communication from anyone at HRH. I bugged him a couple of times throughout the day and when he finally responded, he let me know that someone else had signed a lease. Like what the heck, man? We gave notice to our current landlords, paid $200 for a standard lease that they claim took hours to draft, even though it had nothing customized to reflect the unique circumstances of this home, and we still don't have a signed lease. At the very least, they could have told us when we were asking for the lease edits that they had someone else ready to sign. I feel like I just got robbed $200. Probably dodged a bullet, literally. Update: They refunded my $200.

When I called asking if another team member could help out, I was screamed at by Ed because he wasn't feeling good and it was near the 4th of July! He "told" me, that if I got the info back in 3 weeks, "I'd be lucky". Imagine that... I finally had to call the owner and then miraculously, we received "approval" for tenancy. A week before escrow was to close, my broker received an email at 5:45pm on Friday Eve. From Theo stating that the prospective tenants would have to produce a laundry list of items before the landlord would sign?!?!?! WHAT!!! Imagine the stress caused on myself, the new tenants, my broker, my employees... After hounding these incompetent people and my landlord nearly everyday, the landlord FINALLY signed 1 1/2 business days before close! I had one day to say good bye to my customers of 8 years and the weekend to move out. NOW... JOSH is telling me my security deposit will take 21 days to process?? The new owners have purchased the biz "as is" and have given their security deposit 2 weeks ago!!! Why can't I have mine back??? I am seeking legal advice at this point.. PROPERTY OWNERS ... SEEK TRUE PROFESSIONALS!! Aside from the close, when called, Josh never returned phone calls. When I first decided to sell the business, Ed came into my shop and said "how sorry he was that I was selling"... In Front Of My Employees And Customers!!! Who does that? When there was a light bulb out, they sent an electrician... Unbelievable
