Lots of lobster in your sandwich. Not like other lobster roll places where they serve you more bread vs lobster.

We heard the best lobster rolls in PEI were at Richard's, so we ventured about 30 minutes from our…read morehotel to check it out--and it was absolutely worth the relaxing drive. When we arrived, the line was already 20 people deep. We joined in, and to our surprise, it moved pretty quickly. We ordered four lobster rolls and grabbed a seat outside in the blustery wind. In the back of my mind I was thinking, this better be worth it. Then our buzzer went off. When I picked up our lunch and saw the sheer amount of lobster they give you, my first thought was: hell yes, this is worth it. Even sitting outside in the wind and drizzle couldn't take away from what was about to be one of the best meals I've ever had. I've never seen a sandwich packed with this much lobster before. Most restaurants give you a few chunks mixed with filler, but not at Richard's. These rolls were overflowing with big, juicy pieces and just the right amount of mayo. The bun was buttered and toasted to perfection. Honestly, this was probably one of the best sandwiches I've had in my life. If you're anywhere near PEI, do yourself a favor and go to Richard's--you won't regret it.

I got the lobster roll and it was delicious. Great amount of lobster spilling over a roll and a side of chips also. Would definitely recommend. Plenty of outdoor seating, or even go to the nearby beach by the bridge to enjoy your meal! Although FYI, if you buy any beer, you have to stay on the patio attached to the store.

They had plenty of outdoor seating options which is exactly what we needed on one of the best days of we had on our maritime trip. My fish tacos were excellent and on par with all the other fresh seafood we had been eating the last few days. This was our last stop before heading out of PEI so we decided to have a latte and cheesecake before starting the drive and it really hit the spot. Minus one star for the timeliness of the staff. It took quite a while for our server to bring out each item, but it seemed she was also the one working the outside area. There were also a couple of items we wanted to try which were not available, so that was disappointing.

On the plus side the outdoor seating is very nice with a wonderful view. As to the food - meh. The…read morelobster roll was inedible as it was smothered in an overpowering dressing. A lobster roll should feature the lobster, This one drowns the poor lobster. The roll should be buttered on both sides and then grilled. Then insert the lobster and provide a dollop of mayo on top to be used at the discretion of the customer. This lobster roll was rejected after one bite. My husband had the fish and chips. He graded it as nominal. The breading fell off the fish which usually means the fish was too wet when it was coated. To sum up our experience let's just say we wouldn't return or recommend.

Our group ended up having to sit separately because the waitress was concerned about not being able to walk around a larger table, which seemed unfounded and a concern that was waitress centered rather than customer centered. When asked about closing a window because cold air was affecting some in our party, same waitress said it was not possible because the kitchen needed the air... Well... five minutes later, the customers that took the table near the window simply closed the window to avoid the cold wind... Two for two! Not a great beginning. Ordered seafood chowder and fish and chips. What would you expect? Yes... seafood chowder is served first and once customers are done with it ... you bring the fish and chips. Logical, right? Not here. They brought everything together, which meant the fish and chips got cold while we had the chowder. Third strike... Anything else? Let me say this, the fried fish, in my opinion, was not great. First, you could taste "stale" oil (old oil). This alone turned me off. Second, there was little fish and a lot of breading, I'd say 70% breading 30% fish. So, if you combine oil taste with very thick breading you get what I got. To eat the fish I had to take the breading apart. On a positive note, the seafood chowder was excellent. As Luc B. review pointed out, it is a very basic family and kid friendly setting.
