Later,…read moreHaydee M. called to say the aftermarket part they ordered didn't fit, so they would need to order a dealer part, which would take another week to arrive. At no point during that conversation was it mentioned that the cost would increase significantly, yet there was no problem telling me they found another problem that needed fixed. When I went to pick up my car, I was shocked to find the total was over $1,800. That's a major increase that should have been clearly communicated beforehand. If I had been informed, I could have decided whether to move forward with the repair. Instead, I was put in a position where I had no choice but to pay in order to get my car back. On top of that, after looking up the cost of the parts, it appears they mark them up by at least 40%. Proceed with caution. People don't write bad reviews for absolutely no reason.

My son has been using Winchester Foreign and Domestic Auto Repair for sometime and suggested giving them a call. On Tuesday they said bring it in and probably have it finished by Thursday evening. My Jetta was experiencing electrical issues beyond my level of experience (and anything on YouTube); however, Tony and his crew were able to quickly identify the issue and have my car back to me the same day! Tony did say that there's usually a week wait but was able to squeeze me in today - lucky me! The electrical issue turned out to be a 50 amp fuse; however, this fuse was not listed in the owners manual nor located in the common fuse boxes. It was instead locked in a secret fuse box hidden under the steering column to which I never would have been able to access. Thank you Tony for the awesome customer service!

Now, I will tell you, we have patronized their establishment since we purchased the vehicle for regular maintenance, and they have always been wonderful. However, it was not until we were in real distress that the true value of this establishment shone through! Ben Shabib has been working with us from the beginning, and he is truly a Godsend. In addition to knowing my wife and I BY NAME and greeting us with professionalism and respect EVERY TIME, he PERSONALLY took an interest in the status of our repair job. Regardless of what vehicle you drive, A1 is truly one of the best service centers I have ever known. If you have car troubles, and are within three states of these guys, it is WORTH THE TOW to get your vehicle to them. I could go on, but I am worried about running out of space in this review. Thank you, A1 Auto Service Center, and WELL DONE!
