Maybe he'd done it for too long because the man definitely had a short fuse. If I said anything that he disagreed with he did not hold back on letting me know it. I had no idea a growl could expose so many teeth. I would not recommend Steven for anyone looking to manage their anger. I think he needs to learn how to manage his first.

However, if you're considering this program, particularly as a couple, you need to know that when I met with Sinert with my ex present shortly before the program ended, Sinert was shocked to hear that my ex had made no changes whatsoever (which my ex confirmed), and then blamed me for the reason my ex had not changed. I assume Sinert had a perspective about my ex, and was simply unable to process that his perspective was wrong. when Other reviews that observe Sinert is egocentric are spot-on. You can Google what it means when you're egocentric and unable to be wrong on your own. There are plenty of people in this world who will find Sinert comfortable to be around. If you're not one of them, this isn't the program for you.

Man where do I begin. I am 27 years old and living a fulfilling and honest life thanks to Andy…read more When I first started counseling with him, I was a 16 year old typical agnsty teenager. But the internal anger I had and felt on a daily basis was always too much to live with. My anger would result in me imploding on myself and it was internalized. I did not have the proper coping mechanisms to communicate my feelings, I was extremely sensitive to any criticism, and anytime I did speak, it just didn't come out right or how I truly felt. I worked with Andy intensively for 3 years. We worked on communication. How I may receive something, how to communicate back properly. How to self advocate. And how to properly work on releasing my anger into more acceptable ways that would benefit me. We worked on building self confidence. Anger comes from hurt and or fear. I had no self confidence, so I was always hurt and afraid and internalized my rage. I could go on forever about what we have worked on over the years. Looking back on my teen years, I can successfully say my life is 1000% better and not what I expected it to be because of the work I put in, because of Andy. I am happily married, able to communicate my frustrations, I have self confidence, and I am not afraid to use my voice and have opinions. Most importantly, I no longer hurt the people closest to me. I love and accept them and welcome them into my life. I without a doubt trust this man with every detail of my life. He is unbiased, has the perfect balance of toughness and sensitivity, and I can tell him absolutely anything. He will help you if you let him. Of course it's ultimately up to you. How willing and able are you going to be honest with yourself?

I would caution against using the student therapists for any major, serious issues…read more Taylor Corso was friendly enough that I convinced myself she was helpful. However, she rarely actually did anything other than ask about my week and how I feel. She never stuck to any new "tool" or "method" we would try. I would do everything she asked of me, from filling out busywork to doing walks to talking to people I didn't want to. I even voluntarily surrendered to my greatest fear of being locked up in a hospital. She gave me her number and told me not to call hotlines because they would leave me on hold. But she would ignore almost every call or text made until I stopped even trying. After a week or two of any approach she'd give up, only to months later accuse me of "never really trying" to improve. She would also complain about my negativity and low self esteem, only to tell me all my problems are my fault and if I only tried harder I would be fine. For context, much of my issues regarded depression, incurable medical issues, and the death of my father. But she consistently framed things as my fault. Despite all this, I stuck with her for three years because I appreciated her being candid and friendly. What most therapists wouldn't do for fear of being unprofessional, she was fine with. She'd call us friends, joke around with me, she'd even said if I didn't want to work on improvement I could just vent and talk to her once a week. But then, in the first few minutes of my last session, she told me she wouldn't work with me anymore. No prior discussion had been had, and very little explanation was offered. She sent a list of names I don't know and offered one single session to process. And when my car broke down, she refused to reschedule that session, and only assured me she'd done her due diligence. When I asked if I'd done something wrong, she told me I hadn't. She'd just snubbed me for no reason I guess. I can't imagine this is the best way to handle that situation for any therapist. But for one I've seen for three years and always spoke to me candidly, I was especially surprised at such a curt and cold snubbing. I can't speak for the other therapists here, but the one I've seen hasn't made a great example. The receptionist has always been very kind, though
