BUT I went in to Sherwin Williams for oil based paint in a specific color and they pushed the Emerald Urethane paint for my project talking about it's "superior qualities" and how it's the best product on the market. So they created the color for me and I go to check out - NINETY some dollars per gallon and the stuff covered terribly! If I had known the price, I would never have even attempted it, but to make matters worse, I found the product terrible to work with. Using their recommended paintbrush, it took a minimum of 4 coats (which considering all the trim work I was doing, made the project very slow going.) It also drips terribly and makes the molded corners look muddy. The only way for me to avoid that was to almost dry brush those areas which then required even more than 4 coats. Even now after several touch ups, it has not coated the cabinet evenly or smoothly. Then, because of all the coating and re-coating, I had to buy more of the stuff (rather than switch to the oil based I had wanted the whole time because I was over midway through the project.). Heartbroken at the wasted time and sooo much expense for a product that was not nearly as effective as a gallon half the price. So sad. : (

Having a good paint store can make all the difference. The first time we can to Sherman-Williams I was a bit hesitant. When we walked in all the displays were covered in tape, there were three employees, but no customers. I was a bit concerned that this wasn't going to work out great. Turns out they had just done inventory and they didn't want to screw up their count. They were also super helpful with picking out paint colors. They let us "buy" a swatch book of all their colors. You can return the swatch book when you are done with it for a full refund. Super helpful for the undecided painter. They also will make an account for you which stores all the purchases you made. This is good on two fronts. One, if you need to return something they have the receipt on file. Two, they can tell you what paint colors you ordered last if you need to reorder something. Super slick. There also always seem to be a sale going on. I had to go back to buy more paint and I brought a coupon with me. They not only honored the coupon but combined it with another sale. Double the savings! They took the pain out of painting for us. 73/100

I was expecting 30.01 or 30.00, and so it was like, what?...and I was in the wrong somehow. Helpful place if you ask the women for help, which goes along with the history of the place (BBC article about coffee and body fluids).
