Worst food I've had in quite some time. Tacos came in a literal pool of solidified fat. It was so disgusting I could not eat most of it. The beef had zero seasoning at all. My wife's chicken salad was a good portion but was completely bland if not gross. The chicken looked and tasted boiled with zero seasoning. My kids love tacos and can eat just about anything. They asked to eat leftovers in the fridge, instead. There is a reason they are on GrubHub... they can't make it a restaurant because their food is that bad so they need to pay top dollar to be at the top of the list on GrubHub to deliver to people to lazy to go out and pick up good food. I have to disagree with some of the reviews here-- my meal from Rice N Beans was a perfectly acceptable meal. I ordered 3 things for delivery: 1. Chicken burrito (large flour tortilla filled with chicken, rice, beans, sour cream and salsa). I reasoned this dish would allow me to try their take on Mexican food, and I also get to taste their beans and rice, since everyone seemed to have an opinion on that. 2. Chicken and cheese Pastelillos (chicken and cheese wrapped in a thin pastry and deep fried). I heard these were Puerto Rican and since I have never eaten anything even remotely Puerto Rican (but always wanted to) I figured now was my chance. Plus this is supposed to be a Latin Fusion place, combining the food of more than one Latin nation. So.... Good call. 3. Banana Roll, filled with cream cheese. Can't describe it, because I've never had one. But what the heck. I needed a dessert. Delivery was quick; the food arrived about 15 minutes before the scheduled time. But of course it was between 6:30pm and 7:30pm, Wednesday night. Not sure what its like on more busy days. Also the delivery man was polite and friendly, patient while I was trying to keep my dog inside, lol. The food was nice and hot. Well packaged in styrofoam and plastic containers, inside a bag. Contents hand written on the boxes. They supplied me with napkins and plastic eating utensils, that was nice. The food itself: Chicken and cheese Pastelillos--I like them, actually. They did come with a small container of green chile dipping sauce, which is spicy/hot. I usually don't eat spicy stuff, but the sauce kinda grew on me, I guess I liked that little extra zing. It wasn't so spicy that I couldn't eat it, so I enjoyed it. Tastes like there might be some lime in the sauce too? The pastelillos themselves were pretty good. Very mild inside, just shredded chicken breast and cheese. Outer pastry was light and crispy. Sort of tasted like... Um... Chalupa bread? But slightly more substance. I thought it was good. I'd be curious to try the beef ones now though. Burrito (by itself)--Very mild in flavor. Beans and rice were tender, as was the chicken. Tortilla was nice and soft, but a slightly toasted color to it. Slight tomato-y flavor to the rice. Little hint of salt. I don't think there was any sour cream or salsa in the burrito though, it was pretty basic. I went ahead and added some sour cream from my fridge and some packet of taco sauce leftover from Taco Bell, because I like those. Of course, I didn't order any sauces or condiments (although they did give me the option). I figured I didn't need to, since I had my own. But I would say that very mild flavor in the rice and beans (and sometimes meat) is a pretty common practice in a lot of places that sell Mexican food (and even in a lot of Mexican homes!). This is done to cater to both mild pallets and spicy pallets--they leave it up to the individual to pile on some guacamole, salsa, sour cream or other sauces, if desired. The table is usually set with these extra items, for that purpose. So if you are a person who really loves your condiments and flavors (like me), I would suggest ordering extra on the side, so you can customize it to your own unique taste. But again, that is generally the case in most places. But in general. It was good. Banana roll, 1 slice about 1 inch thick and maybe 3.5" wide. Its basically like those pumpkin bread/cake rolls you see in the store. So it's a layer of bread/cake, with a layer of cream cheese, then they roll it up and slice it. I actually found it delicious. The buttery flavor stood out, right along with the banana flavor. The cream cheese inside was pretty good, slightly sweet. It is a dense cake, so its filling. Overall, like I said, I found the other reviews to be unfair. I don't think this place deserves the put-downs it was getting. I do agree that the prices are a little bit high... But then again, I ordered delivery and the delivery fee is $3.95, plus you give a tip ($2 at 10%). So that's almost $6 that wasn't even spent on the food. If I would have done pick-up, I could have skipped paying all that, and it wouldn't have been so bad. read more

Yet another place via GrubHub that I probably never would have visited/found/ordered from without using that site. In terms of what's good here the best thing would be the delivery wait time. Each of the three times I've ordered from them they've showed up a good ten to twenty minutes earlier than the beginning of the estimated delivery window from GH. Each time it was the same guy and each time he was totally cool. As for the food: Banana Roll - It's literally the same thing as a pumpkin roll like you see during the holiday season except that this version doesn't have a lot of cream cheese and personally I found it to be very dry. Pumpkin roll is one of my favorites and most versions I don't even bother with because they're not very good and unfortunately this one falls into that same category. Chicken Quesadilla - This does not travel well at all. When I opened up the foil it came wrapped in the bottom was a wet-sweaty-greasy-oily or more or less inedible unless I wanted to wring it out like a wet sock. Ground Beef Tacos - Nothing amazing here but they are three decent sized tacos which come exactly as advertised based on the menu description. What more can you ask for, right? Chicken Burrito - On the larger side and it comes packed with chicken, cheese, rice, beans and sour cream. If you want spicy this isn't for you but the flavor is solid and is well worth it considering the price and the size of the burrito. Taco Salad Bowl - Unlike a lot of other places in the area which advertise a taco salad bowl only to not have it come in a fried taco shell, this one does and overall it was very good considering the size to price ratio. Overall Rice and Beans wasn't too bad. The banana roll is not the best and the quesadilla came as an inedible mess but everything else was either as described in the menu or very, very good plus the delivery times are normally very fast. Mexico Lindo or El Paisano probably serves things up in a more authentic way at a comparable price but if you order from Rice and Beans while not spectacular, the food is solid and you could do much worse. read more

Beef and cheese pastelilos are yummy, I mean how can it not be, fried meat and cheese. Tacos are kinda eh, you gotta mix in the pico and other condiments to really get something out of it. I've ordered a few chicken items, dont do it. They've been so dry I could make jerky. I've had the rice and beans it's decent. The tamales are good. Their green sauce is on point. I was very surprised to see there were not more reviews here. Can this place be an undiscovered gem in the neighborhood? I ordered delivery, so I have no idea what the place actually looks like. The driver was lazy and called.to have my daughter come outside the house to get her food from him. It was not raining or snowing and I was angry about that. I will be sure to mention that the next time I order. (And I will be ordering!) We ordered pork chimichangas, chicken quesidillas, fried sweet plaintains and nachos with guacamole. I should have turned around and walked out the door when I saw the amount of dirty dishes, and cookware lined up in the two bay sinks. I asked the young man at the register what he suggested, he suggested the sofrito chicken. That had to have been the worst chicken I have EVER eaten. It was dry and had a very unwelcoming flavor and scent. The rice tasted like nothing and was slightly over watered. The beans were thick and had no flavor in the sauce, which was awful looking. I also bought two beef emapanadas which were decent but extremely over priced and actually the only thing that was eaten. The soda was extremely over priced I understand you make your money on the sodas but come on $2.50 for a 20oz get out of here. I eneded up spending about $18 total and most of it went in the trash DON'T WASTE YOUR MONEY. You're better off grabbing a bowl at the wawa down the street. Fusion is a long shot , either no one is following the original recipes or you have never made real spanish food. I have been here 4 times now (one time they were closed). My first experience was fantastic -- rice and beans with chicken stew. That was out of this world! The chicken breast was so tender, not rubbery, not the consistency of any boiled/dry chicken at all! The vegies in the stew were tender and just a real wow! So, I always kept this dish in my frontal lobes to order again! The second time I went in, I ordered the rice and beans and chicken stew. They were OUT of the chicken stew, so I just had the small rice and beans for my meal. The portion size was enormous. I thought it tasted so plain, quite forgettable. Without the chicken stew, the beans and rice alone is just not what I would order again. Third time I went on a Sunday, I believe, they were closed. I ventured over there a few days ago to order the beans and rice with chicken stew. They changed their menu! No more chicken stew! I am so disappointed! I ordered the empanadas (beef and cheese). An order comes with 2 rather large dough pockets filled with generous portions of seasoned ground beef and a hint of cheese and deep-fried to order to golden brown. Also served with a miniscule side of some sort of lime-cilantro dipping sauce which REALLY made the empanadas pop! The empanadas are incredibly rich and the sauce helps to somewhat cleanse the palate. Unfortunately, the tiny container of side sauce was so small -- and only half full to boot, I couldn't even fit even the empanada edge into it, lol. The empanadas were really good, very rich so very filling. One order is definitely a meal, I could only eat 1 and 1/2 (ran out of sauce). Unfortunately, this is not my kind of food to eat regularly -- rarely at best. Without that chicken stew on the menu again, I doubt I would return for the empanadas, certainly not for the rice and beans. The place is small, mostly geared for takeout and delivery. A group of us (approximately 6-7) ordered lunch from the local establishment. The gentleman who answered the phone was not very pleasant while taking the order & disconnected the call without saying "goodbye" or "thank you". The food arrived 40 minutes past the expected time & it was ICE COLD. A co-worker of mine ordered 3 beef tacos, 1 which had a 12" long blond hair that was pulled out of her mouth when she took a bite of the taco. When she called to report this to the establishment they were not very empathetic or concerned. Their comment to her was "It's not our fault. Our workers don't have long hair". Well where would it come from, especially since it was inside w/all the fixings?!?!? They not only charge a delivery fee but then expect a tip on top of that. For what?!?!? I have been here twice now and really enjoyed the place. The staff is so nice!! I have to give major props for my last visit, though. I was at CVS on the phone with my insurance company (everyone's favorite Friday night past time...) for about an hour and did not expect to be doing so. I ordered takeout from this place before leaving, thinking I could swing by after CVS and just grab my food. I ordered my burrito at 6:00 and didn't get there until about 7:20 to pick it up. When I got there, the man at the front counter said to me "Ohh! This is yours? We were wondering what happened to this customer! Do you want us to make you a new one? It won't take long and we won't charge for it!" I thought this was AMAZING. They didn't know I had been on a cruddy phone call. For all they know, I could've just been being a jerk and taking forever to get there and they offered to remake my food for me! I kept the cold(ish) food and just heated it up at home because I would really hate to see them just throw it away because customer service calls take forever, but I was really happy with this quality of customer service. read more

The pernil (pork) chimichanga was huge and delicious, it came with salsa, sour cream and a green spicy mayo-type sauce that was also really good. I'm really not into spicy stuff but the sauce went perfectly with the chimichanga and we also got 2 pastelillos (beef) and that's the only sauce it came with and it was good. Pernil dinner combo with yellow rice and beans and sweet plaintains was good, the rice was fresh, beans didn't taste like a can and the pork wasn't dry. Plaintains were like candy... so good! The portion was also really big so that was nice to split. The prices were a little high. I've gone to a bunch of spots and the food was just as good and not as expensive. My bill came to about $50. We also got guacamole and chips which was good and fresh. It all just seemed overpriced. They also featured a coupon on their site that if you ordered over $25 (or something) in food you got a free churro... I added the coupon to my order and never got the free churro. We recently moved to the area from the South. This place is very close to our house, so we tried it out. Wow- Puerto Rican food! Maybe we are easily excited, but the state we moved from had NO Puerto Rican restaurants. We were so happy to see tostones, pernil, and PR style rice&beans. The empanadas are terrific. Nice flaky pastry, great seasoning on the ground beef. The lunch special sampler is a great value. We usually order 2 and have enough food for 2 days of lunches. Dinner platters are also amazing- get the pernil (pulled pork). It is so good! The green sauce is really great- spicy, limey, and a nice cilantro pop. Pico is good, too. The standout sauce, though, is the garlic sauce. It elevates everything it touches! The only thing I would ding them on is the chicken- it seemed a bit dry and didn't have enough seasoning. read more

Been wanting to try this place for awhile. I ordered delivery on a Monday afternoon they came really quick. Food was fresh, hot and delicious!! Empanadas were filled and tasty. Tamales were good I liked the Cheese more than the chicken...seemed a bit dry. Topped it off with a churro for dessert Yum!!! Rice & Beans were probably the best so flavorful and a big portion. Ordered tacos from this place and my girlfriend almost choked on this piece of plastic that was in one of their pulled pork tacos. With the twisted ends it looks like a drug baggie. I took it back and talked to the owner Marco Justo and after he looked at it said that this plastic was not used anywhere in his restaurant at all. When I mentioned that I may have been a drug baggie and asked if he was the only person that handled the food he said that he was and all of a sudden the pork he uses comes in a plastic wrap like this. He threw the plastic in the bag and started to issue me a refund, I pulled the plastic out of the garbage and he said he would not issue me a refund unless he got to keep it. I said I would hang onto it in case my girlfriend had any adverse reactions to it if it did indeed contain drugs so that I could have it for analysis or for the cops. He said well I have insurance so do what you have to do. Then both him and his employee started to be extremely rude to me. I have ordered food from here for years and the employees have always been rude but other than that no issues. The way this was handled and the fact the owner was extremely defensive and insistent on getting the baggie back made me very worried and think that he may have known exactly what it was. With all these bad reviews, I have to say, my husband and I love this place and have never had any issues. We always get delivery, it always arrives ahead of time, and the delivery people are always polite and smiling! We both always get the same things, empanadas and a burrito with a side of rice. While I do agree, the green jalapeño sauce that they give with the order is a bit small, but for a buck you can get 4ozs!!! We always order more because it is soooo tasty! I wish I knew how they make it (because I would make HUGE batches). Really, you guys could tell me and I would take it to my grave, promise! :) If they sold it in higher quantities we would buy the biggest they could make! read more
